so one of my friends was playing with the Samsung Gravity 2 and put on a phone lock and now every time I turn the phone on it asks for a PHONE LOCK code.No one seems to remember it.is there a way to over-ride it?
I have a Samsung gravity T459, and when I take a pic with it and try and send it in a msg, it says the file is too big, I don't know why it does that. It does the same thing with videos, and it also asks me if I would like to resize it, and still wont send. whats going on?
My brother has this phone and he is not able to get pass the Phone lock code because a friend of his mess around the phone and change the phone lock code and cannot remember it. Is there anyway to find the code?
So I have a new Instinct and my 2 year old got her hands on it today and was playing with it. Well somehow she managed to get to the lock section and so now the phone has a user lock on it that I have no clue as to what it is. I can accept incoming calls but can't use it for outgoing calls. I am wondering if I call the phone will it open it up so I can get in and change the lock code to something else?
Also how do I set the privacy on this phone so if I call out no one can see my number?
I'm about to purchase either the Samsung Propel or Gravity. Does anyone know if either of these phones store LD calling card #'s with pauses (p) for PIN's etc. with area codes and local numbers?I don't want to pay for Rogers (Canada) LD rates.
My daughter has not been as kind to her phone as she could have been. I'm considering purchasing a replacement casing but can't find any documentation on disassembling/reassembling the unit. Does anyone know if it's pretty straightforward? I'm fairly mechanically inclined but have overextended myself enough times to know I'm no Edison.
My question is: Where do I put in this information? Do I need to install another firmware and how do I do that? I've been looking around on this forum and I'm sure the answer must be there somewhere, but I can't find it.
I recently got the D900i that I love, but there's 1 nagging problem: The contact list reads from the phone and SIM, and I haven't been able to get it to read from the phone only.I have some contacts on my SIM as a back-up, so when it reads from both, I have duplicate numbers when I access my contact list.Does anyone know how I can make it so it's only phone contacts?
i just recently got a gravity, and i got a 2 gig card to put music on even though the phone can take 60 mb and im trying to put music on the phone. and no such luck I've followed the instructions that came with the book
I recently got a Samsung Gravity (t459). For some reason everytime the phone is turned off or dies it repopulates the Destination Address for text messages. I have to go in and clear it out and save everytime that happens. I'm thinking this is something stored on the SIM. Either way I want to know how to stop this and keep it cleared out all the time whether I turn off the phone.
It seems that I have been all over the internet looking for ways to get the java enabled so that I can use games and apps that I've downloaded on my samsung t401g for Net10(which is basically a prepaid version of the gravity for T-mobile). I've tried numerous codes with no success; whenever I enter one, it comes up with "Please wait, Network Action" and then "Unable to process request".
I have just had my Samsung Gravity T456 Unlocked from Rogers (canada) and have switched to Fido with FIDO sim Activated the phone works perfect in all aspects except WAP Browser. I have tried all the settings scattered throughout the net to no avail Here is my menu and what i entered?
hi i just got a samsung gravity 2 (sgh-t469). it is a t-mobile phone but i have att as my carrier. my internet and picture messaging is not working. can anyone help me step by step to get this set up for att's network? if i can't figure it out this phone will have been a pointless purchase for myself.
Does anyone have a step-by-step procedure for enabling AT&T's Media Net on a T-Mobile Samsung Gravity? From my reading, access to profiles seems to be: *#87927#, Then it gets a little dicey. I'm trying to get my kid's Gravity to send/receive pictures. He's on the AT&T unlimited txt msg package....and pictures are included in the pkg.
I have a Samsung Gravity 2 and noticed a fairly frequent problem with the keyboard: every few words or so it double-types a letter (IE: if I press down A once, it spits out AA).I haven't been able to find much about this elsewhere, other than a few confirmations that it does indeed happen -- but I wasn't sure if this was a widespread problem, something fixable or if it's isolated to just some hardware?
I'd like to take Gravity off my N82 and move it to my new N97. Can I do this or do I have to re-purchase it? I would imagine that I would need to re-purchase, otherwise people would just share it around... but I thought I'd double check with you guys anyway.
I have a Samsung A870 that has a user lock on it and regardless of what I do I can't seem to get the code. My computer does not pick up the phone, and I tried to set it to DM mode and it still refuse to be picked up. Is there some kind of hard reset I can use to get rid of the code?
I have a Samsung R500 phone with micro SD capacity. I have been playing mp3 files on the phone with a 4GB SanDisk micro SD card which has worked fine. I have since upgraded to an 8GB card and copied all my mp3 files onto it as well as additional files. When I put the new 8GB card into my phone, it says there are no files there and can't see the mp3s. Yet when I put the 8GB micro sd card into the card reader and view it on my PC, it says all the files are there. When I click on them, they play as well. It doesn't allow me to reformat the card on the phone and when I first put the 4GB card in, I got a message on the phone saying it was formatting it. I manually tried to format the card on my PC and it said the formatting was successful yet the card still doesn't work on the phone.
We just got a Samsung Gravity a week ago Tuesday. The one problem that we are having with it is the apparent lack of battery life. After about four hours of receiving a full (overnight) charge and being disconnected from the charger; during that time making about 30 minutes of phone calls, and one or two text messages, the battery meter is showing about half a charge. That seems like quite bad battery life for a gsm phone. Has anybody else noticed poor battery life on their Gravity? Has anybody heard of any forthcoming firmware updates that might help the battery life? The phone was receiving a strong signal during that time, so that shouldn't be an issue.
On the Samsung Gravity, which I purchased yesterday, I really hate the setup of my inbox. It gives you a few words preview of what the texts say, and the font is huge. I just transferred from a Razr, and I am only familiar with the seem changes you could do on them, so is there a Samsung equivalent out there? Any major tutorials or sites I am missing? Also, is there any way to make my inbox hold more messages?
I have a T-Mobile Samsung Gravity T459. The phone accepts my sim card but never actually gets on the network, it just says "searching..." and never actually gets on.I have reset it multiple times, power-cylced it, and now I am clueless on what the next step is.There is also a icon on the standby screen that I do not know what it is (pictured below)Is there anything I can do to get this working?
I have to agree with everybody that the battery life is poor. I do my share of texting but it should not run out so quickly. Also, I am wondering what I can do about my text message inbox filling up? I have to constantly delete messages. Is there anyway to store more messages? Also, How can I read the messages that are stored to the SIM?
I have an unlocked T-mobile Samsung Gravity I (T-459). How to find a way of changing its GRPS/WAP/data settings? Is there some hidden menu or something? More generally, how to (completely) un-brand the phone, remove T-zones, T-mobile Mobile Backup, etc? If it matters, my Gravity was unlocked using an unlock code provided by T-mobile Customer Service.
I'm thinking about picking up a Gravity 2 (T469) but the only issue holding me back is contacts being able to sync with outlook. Can anyone confirm if the Gravity 2 is able to sync the contacts with Microsoft outlook?
