My gravity sensor is a bit tilted, but I can't find any way to fix it. There used to be a option to do it on some old Xperia phones, but it seems this functionality has been taken out completely. Is there any possibility to recalibrate the sensor on system level?
View 10 RepliesMy G-sensor(flipping the phone) dosen't work. whenever i click calibrate on any flat horizontal surface it says calibration aborted. This has not always been the case as it was working when i first got it. but now it dosent work, i have even tried factory reset. i am sending it in to be repaired but i was wondering if this was a big problem or just me?

When I hold my phone upright, the car would slowly veer to the right. I need to calibrate / re-calibrate my acclerometer so that I can fix this annoying issue. On Samsung, there's a calibration option on the Settings. I can't find it on my phone.

Since a cadence sensor just counts how often the magnet passes by it then I guess they are the same as speed sensor.What would be the steps to complete this? or are the profiles baked in the firmware of the sensors and there's no way for the Motoactv to profile it as a different type of sensor?

This is an important thing to me since I tend to read at night and I dislike having to go all the way to settings and so on.
Do you know any piece of software that could change screen brightness based on the light sensor readings?I'm just amazed the phone software doesn't do that on its own but hey s60v5 is worse than s60v3...
The proximity sensor on my iPhone 4 has been driving me crazy and I've been holding the phone to my left ear the same way as I've held every iPhone before with no problems. I thought what would happen if I moved it up a bit so the sensor was at the top part of my ear instead of at the hole part of the ear. So far, in the 3 calls I've made, it seems to have fixed it. Will have to see some more of the next couple days and it does require you to think and focus on how you are holding it but at least I can use the phone.

If that's the case then my problem shouldn't be the screen protector as whatever is to the left of the camera is not covered..
Whenever I dial a number my screen goes black as soon as I hit the call button. It does not wait until I put the phone up to my ear as my 920 and 640 do. I have to hit my power button twice to get the screen back. It's acting as if the proximity sensor is stuck on activated.
 So I cracked my phone a while ago, had the screen replaced at a local place and the screen looks fine, the phone functions almost 100% perfectly.Â

The thing that bugs me is that the phone seems to have the proximity sensor always on. When I answer a call, the screen turns black, and I am unable to turn the screen on until the call ends. I would rather just have the proximity sensor completely off. I just want my screen to be on when I'm on calls, or at least able to turn on with the power button.Â
I accidentally dial a number and the entire phone locks, I cannot end the call and I cannot do a hard reset.
I really do not want to learn how to live with this sensor. I would just like to switch it off.
I have a Xperia x10 mini pro and I can´t connect to my Gamin ANT+ sensor ( heart rate monitor ).

Have been trying to google this with no luck - I got one of those wallet cases, however it doesn't seem to have the built in magnet to wake/sleep phone (I thought it did), I was thinking of putting a little fridge magnet in one of the card slots maybe?

If I switch on the phone and I activate the application immediatly (before the phone go sleep) all works fine. If I wait and after a while (after display dimmed) I activate the application the pressure sensor does not send events. It happen systematically. When the pressur sensor doesn't send events it is not seen from service menù (no millibar displayed). My phone model number is ST17i, Android is 4.04, kernel is 2.6.32.9-perf, build 4.1.B.0.431.

1) automatically buzzes and attempts a scan 5x in a row when I press the unlock button then locks the phone and requires pin.
2) does not even show the fingerprint scanner in the diagnostic menu
3) does not allow me to even register new fingerprints - I open the fingerprint software to scan new fingerprints and it closes.

I recently cracked my screen on my sony xperia z3. When I turn the phone from it's sleep mode, it automatically presses random buttons because the screen is broken and the sensors are all messed up now.Â

I'm currently using an OTG adapter to navigate but, I'd like to know how to turn of the screen touch so that it doesn't randomly hit apps or buttons while its on and instead uses the mouse via the OTG adapter only. is there a setting/option to do that?
My problem is that when starting calls I put the phone to my ear and it is muted. The other end hears me, but I dont hear them. so I've had my Galaxy S6 and the fingerprint sensor has always worked fine. Yesterday it worked great all day long at work, then when I got home, it wouldn't work at all. I rebooted and still it wouldn't work, I cleared cache and data, did the hardware test, and it passed. It still didn't work, so I erased the fingerprints, and retrained my right thumbprint only. Now it seems to unlock with any finger of anybody! As long as they touch lightly, it unlocks about 90 percent of the time.
