When i try to call somebody, everytime my screen goes black. And I can't interfere to my Phone at this time until the call automatically ended itself. When i bought my Z5. In the box there was a screen protector. Without this, how can i save my screen against scratches. Now costumer service told me: Take off screen protector and send Phone to us. Why i m using my Phone without cover. And they are gonna Open my Phone.Probably they won't correctly placed rearcover.
My gravity sensor is a bit tilted, but I can't find any way to fix it. There used to be a option to do it on some old Xperia phones, but it seems this functionality has been taken out completely. Is there any possibility to recalibrate the sensor on system level?
Yesterday night i connected Xperia X10i to the computer PC Companion popup opens for 2.1 update. I followed the instructions and took backup in the third step after downloading new software while updating a popup window appeared "unable to Update try later" the phone is still connected to the PC and Internet connection is also fine. I have disconnected from PC then it is asking for step 3(switch off phone then press and hold back button step) again did that no Luck. Now the phone is not starting at all I think it formatted all the software..My phone is almost in dead condition. Now if I connected to the PC it is not detecting as a mass storage also and PC companion is not at all recognizing.
So I tried to update my phone to Lollipop via your Companiom app but it failed and now I have bricked phone..I ve tried repair my phone, but it every single time hangs on same spot..
I want to buy an ant+ Cadence sensor which is really inexpensive and I'd like to know if I could pair it and use it as a SPEED sensor for my bike. Since a cadence sensor just counts how often the magnet passes by it then I guess they are the same as speed sensor.What would be the steps to complete this? or are the profiles baked in the firmware of the sensors and there's no way for the Motoactv to profile it as a different type of sensor?
I just recently got the new z5 premium with a phone case. When I open or I close the phone case the phone does not lock or light turn on in lock mode. I can't seem to find the option for this in settings. Is this even an option on this phone?
I've just bought a 5230 and I'm really annoyed that I don't have the functionality my E51 had where if it was really dark the screen would dim down. This is an important thing to me since I tend to read at night and I dislike having to go all the way to settings and so on.
Do you know any piece of software that could change screen brightness based on the light sensor readings?I'm just amazed the phone software doesn't do that on its own but hey s60v5 is worse than s60v3...
The proximity sensor on my iPhone 4 has been driving me crazy and I've been holding the phone to my left ear the same way as I've held every iPhone before with no problems. I thought what would happen if I moved it up a bit so the sensor was at the top part of my ear instead of at the hole part of the ear. So far, in the 3 calls I've made, it seems to have fixed it. Will have to see some more of the next couple days and it does require you to think and focus on how you are holding it but at least I can use the phone.
Where the 950's proximity sensor is located? I want to make sure my screen protector isn't covering it. It appears to be to the left of the camera. If that's the case then my problem shouldn't be the screen protector as whatever is to the left of the camera is not covered..
Whenever I dial a number my screen goes black as soon as I hit the call button. It does not wait until I put the phone up to my ear as my 920 and 640 do. I have to hit my power button twice to get the screen back. It's acting as if the proximity sensor is stuck on activated.
 So I cracked my phone a while ago, had the screen replaced at a local place and the screen looks fine, the phone functions almost 100% perfectly.  The thing that bugs me is that the phone seems to have the proximity sensor always on. When I answer a call, the screen turns black, and I am unable to turn the screen on until the call ends. I would rather just have the proximity sensor completely off. I just want my screen to be on when I'm on calls, or at least able to turn on with the power button.Â
Where on phone is magnetic sensor for wake/sleep? Have been trying to google this with no luck - I got one of those wallet cases, however it doesn't seem to have the built in magnet to wake/sleep phone (I thought it did), I was thinking of putting a little fridge magnet in one of the card slots maybe?
I bought the N97 in October 09 (its now Feb 2010) and since then I've had multiple problems with this phone and each time something different! This phone has been nothing but problems and each time I take it in to be serviced I get it back almost a week later and within 24hrs it has already died again and generally wont even go past the nokia screen when rebooted or will freeze up and not turn on at all. I seem to be constantly having software and memory issues as well as having problems accessing the applications and the touch screen being temperamental even tho I have asked for these problems to be fixed on each occasion. This time I went back to the Nokia Care centre and spoke to the Manager and all he could tell me was that he's done what he had to do and that he is not obliged to do anymore and I can keep bringing it back when it fails as it is under warranty.
I am highly disappointed in this phone, it has given me nothing but problems and even more annoyed and disappointed in the staff at the Care Centre. I actually wonder if they actually do check the phone and fix it properly especially since it keeps dying and I havent even used it. I also have a list of about 42 people who have had multiple problems and issues with their N97 and continue to have problems despite getting it serviced. Is anyone else in the same boat? How I can get out of my contract or actually get my phone fixed without having to go thru this again or being patronised by the store manager again?
after ICS update I have a problem with pressur sensor. This problem happens both with my bike computer application and with standard Sony pressure sensor demo. If I switch on the phone and I activate the application immediatly (before the phone go sleep) all works fine. If I wait and after a while (after display dimmed) I activate the application the pressure sensor does not send events. It happen systematically. When the pressur sensor doesn't send events it is not seen from service menù (no millibar displayed). My phone model number is ST17i, Android is 4.04, kernel is 2.6.32.9-perf, build 4.1.B.0.431.
proximity sensor doesn't work in my z3  then i went to settings >about phone > diadnostics >test device > ear proximity  it doesn't work also. i dailed *# *# 7378423#*#* >service tests > proximity switch > it shows proximity switch off.
What is going on with this fingerprint scanner?  It worked well for the first few months.  Now It:  1) automatically buzzes and attempts a scan 5x in a row when I press the unlock button then locks the phone and requires pin. 2) does not even show the fingerprint scanner in the diagnostic menu 3) does not allow me to even register new fingerprints - I open the fingerprint software to scan new fingerprints and it closes.  I've attached an image.  This has to be a software glitch. I've already resetted my phone and same thing.
I recently cracked my screen on my sony xperia z3. When I turn the phone from it's sleep mode, it automatically presses random buttons because the screen is broken and the sensors are all messed up now.  I'm currently using an OTG adapter to navigate but, I'd like to know how to turn of the screen touch so that it doesn't randomly hit apps or buttons while its on and instead uses the mouse via the OTG adapter only. is there a setting/option to do that?
My problem is that when starting calls I put the phone to my ear and it is muted. The other end hears me, but I dont hear them. This happens most of the time, but not always.I have tested the proximity sensor and the test is OK most of the time and across most of the screen.But since this is creating such frustration, with customers loosing me on the phone, I just want the phone to work as it does on my old HTC Touch Pro:When starting a call the screen automatically goes blank and I cannot accidentally touch the mute button or anything else.Can I do this on my X10 Mini Pro?Alternatively, can I move the mute button to somewhere else on the screen or remove it entirely?
is it possible to disable the light sensor on the Mini ? even though I have the display brightness set to maximum it still dims when the light level is low, this makes the screen flicker, it's really annoying
so I've had my Galaxy S6 and the fingerprint sensor has always worked fine. Yesterday it worked great all day long at work, then when I got home, it wouldn't work at all. I rebooted and still it wouldn't work, I cleared cache and data, did the hardware test, and it passed. It still didn't work, so I erased the fingerprints, and retrained my right thumbprint only. Now it seems to unlock with any finger of anybody! As long as they touch lightly, it unlocks about 90 percent of the time.
My lumia 1520 getting hanged & touch sensor not working some times & its i pushed lock button and relock again then its work i have resets many times restores many times & the NOKIA CARE SUITE not working with lumia 1520 have any other software which can work with lumia 1520..
I've bought the bold 9780 on last 2 month.. Lately I was failed to unlocked the phone once I take out from the case provided by blackberry. I cannot pick up the calls and sometime can't read the msg received. I need to do power reset by take out the battery for 10 second.. And reboot.. Its will back to normal.. But.. The problem is still persist when I take out it from it case. It happend again and again.. Is it software or hardware problem?
When you are using bluetooth headset, the proximity sensor doesn't work? Is it a bug in Android v2.1 or am I missing something? I'm using MW-600 with X10i Android 2.1 if that matters.
The flip cover I'm using is the Wireless Charging Cover WCR14.I downloaded auto screen off with flip cover, but it doesn't seems to work properly.It does turn off if I cover my finger on the sensor, and if I somewhat close my cover at an angle. But, when I close the cover fully, it turns back on.The apps I tried was Gravity Screen, Auto Screen On Off and Smart Cover Lite.

I would like to use heart rate sensor while running. Are any of You use something like this with Active? Normaly I am listening to the music and using RunKeeper while running, but I want to check my heart rate also. I was looking for this kind of device but no good results.
