View 2 RepliesWhere can I find these drivers? I'd like to be able to transfer files between the phone and computer and also I'd like to tether my laptop. When I plug in the phone I get SAMSUNG_android in my device manager as an unknown device and Windows can't find drivers for it. On Samsung Canada's website I can't find the drivers anywhere or even a link to PC Studio. No luck on the US site either since apparently this phone isn't even offered there yet.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've been browsing endless forums for the past 4 days looking for drivers on this phone to find absolutely nothing. I've downloaded PC Studio 3 and 6, and Vista still won't recognize my phone. Mounting and data transfers work, but I want to tether my phone. Anyone have drivers they could send me please, or a link t download it.

To be more specific, when I search images on google i only get black results, with the image dimensions loading in. I can see whether an image is square, a rectangle or whatever but the image is always completely white or black. This also goes for capcha's used on websites and other images that load in for example pop ups.
I have 5mbs Internet one of the fastest abonnoments I can get. What is up with my phone? how do i get images to load again?
I noticed that lots of apps do load when the phone starts (boots up), and some of them I really do not need them (until I use them), so they keep running in the back (memory).
Is there a way of preventing apps to load when the phone starts up; or any good (and free) app that I can select the apps I don't whant to be loaded when the phone starts up?
Is there any way to load Blackberry Desktop manager on an Android device such as a Motorola Zoom or Samsung Galaxy?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally got round to rooting my phone last night to hopefully get rid of my "MAPServicesamsung has unfortunately stopped" problem that I and a few others have had since going from GB to ICS. Downloaded insecure kernal CF-Root-SGS2_XW_ODD_KE8-v4.0-CWM4.tar and phone got suck on yellow triange during reboot so turned off and wouldn't turn on again, just the battery indicator showing as the USB was still plugged in. Saw others have had the same problem and the way to overcome it was to load CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEN_LP7-v5.4-CWM5.tar and sure enough this worked (still had yellow triangle to start with) and then rooted with S2Root_1.5.1_Release (1). Now my wi-fi will not connect. It recognises it but keeps scrolling between authenticating, Obtaining IP address and Saved, secured with WPA2 and sometimes Avoided poor internet connection (even though signal is showing as excellent). I've done allsorts since; deleted it and scanned back in, changed from DHCP to static and back, rebooted the router, taken the battery out.

I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive large emails it requests you to click on the "Load more details" button. When I do this, it simply says "Downloading" but never manages to actually download the rest of the content. I can work around by increasing the default download limit up to 100K but that's not the point. Why isn't it working as it should?i'm using Ice Cream Sandwhich.
View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night, my carrier pushed the Device management update to my SII. I accepted to install and since then the handset is stuck on a white background screen with "Software Update", a 0% status bar and "loading..." and thats all. This is been there since 4-5 hours now. It eventually drained the entire battery. When I charged it and powered it on, it still comes back to the "Software Update" screen.I tried to do a hard reset with both the volume button and the power button. It still comes back to the white screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI know my way around PC hardware and OS's.My problem sarted when I went to the T-mobile update. Phone stuck on "downloading update...", blue text on white background. Unable to boot into recovery, but was able to get into download mode. I found the correct ICS firmware update .tar file, but Odin 1.85 will not work. It always sticks on Setup Connection. Others fixed this by using differnt USB port and/or cable. Tried all 10 USB ports, nada; don't have another cable, but I'm out to get one this morning. I assume if I can get to download mode I'm not totally bricked. Only way I can get into d/l mode is to remove the battery, otherwise phone just boots to white update screen.I'm looking at a $200 brick! Wonder if I should just walk in to a T-mobile outlet and demand a fix.

I cant get to recovery or get the device up and running, all i can do is to get in odin mode/download mode.
i have downloaded official 5.1.1 firmware, i have tried using different versions of odin but everytime its the same, after the "nand write start" it just fails, every single time. i have tried to use the hidden.img only from the firmware but it ends up just booting the samsung logo over and over again. also i have tried different usb ports..
Basically i cant install new firmware via odin, i cant install it via kies (I don't know the phones serial number, receipt or the box wont say this, or the phone either)..
I had less than 7% of battery and I went into Ultra Power Saving Mode where I got only notification upper tab and blank screen below. I reboot my phone but stuck on Samsung logo. How to fix this?
Tried wipe cache in recovery mode and charging phone up to 100% but no luck, still stuck on Samsung logo.
Phone is international S6, not rooted, official. Any options except hard reset?
Okay, first let me start off by giving some descriptions to questions you may have:
*My phone is not rooted.
*I have not messed with any modifications.
*My phone's automatic update is turned off. (I haven't update since 4.42.)
*I've already erased the cache in recovery mode.
*I don't have a back-up.
My phone had died because the battery life ran out. I charged it fully and unplugged it. I kept it off for a little while, and when I turned it on it booted normally to the start-up screen, blinked off and restarted back to the screen; it remained stuck there. I can power off and enter recovery mode, but I can't power off. The charge logo appears when I plug it up, but it stays there with an empty power logo even after I unplug it. I have to always take out the battery to turn it off. What did I do wrong, and I can I fix it without having to wipe out documents? (I have a lot of writing documents).
i have bought this unlocked phone for about 550$, but internet is stuck on edge(not even 2g) which is incredibly slow. Please help me solve this i have searched internet but just a few ppl has the same problem with unlocked samsung galaxy S2 and tmobile. That made me think that there might be a solution like changing the Tmobile sim card(i dont know if there is only one type of sim card), entering an unlock code provided by tmobile, or going to a samsung maintenance service and let them fix it or anyother? I have updated to the new firmware but did no effect.I cant understand how such a big company like samsungs' cutting edge new phone comes out of the factory with unsupporting the USAs one(Tmobile) of the 2(Tmobile,ATT) GSM networks data frequency.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to take advantage of googles 10p app promotion but it seems that for any app I buy I get stuck at the "starting download" screen. This is the first time I've tried buying an app and its just not working. I can download free apps from the Market just fine, its just the paid apps that are giving me grief! I've googled about and tried the "clear cache" from Market app and "clear data" from download manager but it just doesn't work!
