I got my Galaxy s6 SM-G920F last week and i rooted it, today i tried to use this guide in order to enhance the multitasking on my device [URL] ....
i did backup the build.prop (in the download folder in sdcard) but after i rebooted the device (and followed the guide that i linked) it got stuck in the Samsung logo, I don't have a custom recovery and i dont want to trigger KNOX on. My android version is 5.0.2 ....
I've got an S6 Australian SM-G920i version. Done the root option and done the twrp recover flash in odin however i keep getting stuck at Samsung Logo. Tried root first and then flash twrp that didn't work, tried twrp first then tried to boot to recovery to root from twrp and still no go. teamwin says it compaitible with SM-G920i version tried TWRP 2.8.6.0 and TWRP 2.8.6.2 still no go.

The root went fine and I installed TWRP but once I tried to reboot into the recovery my phone has frozen and doesn't want to turn off.
I don't get what I did wrong and how to fix it or at least how to turn the phone off?
1. I have knox tripped
2. When i flash stock with smart switch i get stuck on samsung boot logo
3. Same thing with odin....stuck on samsung boot logo
4. To get the phone working and boot to desktop i flash custom kernel like unikernel
5. The problem is i want to use stock kernel i want to flash with smart switch and i want to get updates from samsung like i was before because when i use unikernel and i try to updates phone said your rom is modified...
Is there any chance to bypass samsung logo without flashing custom kernel...

I cant get to recovery or get the device up and running, all i can do is to get in odin mode/download mode.
i have downloaded official 5.1.1 firmware, i have tried using different versions of odin but everytime its the same, after the "nand write start" it just fails, every single time. i have tried to use the hidden.img only from the firmware but it ends up just booting the samsung logo over and over again. also i have tried different usb ports..
Basically i cant install new firmware via odin, i cant install it via kies (I don't know the phones serial number, receipt or the box wont say this, or the phone either)..

It spins for 30 seconds and reboots back to the welcome screen for about 30 seconds and continues to do this over and over and over again. i have tried factory resetting it...re flashing stock roms...Oj7,Ol1, OL1, and still keeps rebooting after about 30 seconds into the setup.
I have a GS6 (international) stuck in bootloop. I need to go into recovery mode to fix it. However, my phone is restarting and stuck in bootloop. I cannot power down the phone from this state and I cannot enter recovery or download mode. I would like to know if there is a special button combination to completely shut down the phone (power button from this state does not work)

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am on the latest firmware BOI1 and i decided to root my sprint s6 the other day to try and do a sim unlock. so i am trying now to return it to stock. i downloaded the correct firmware and used the latest odin3(i believe it is the latest) and the md5 check would do good but when i tried to flash the actual firmware it kept hanging on "setupConnection" and fails
Wiped cache and factory reset from recovery. It has hung at getting pit now the last couple times. I re downloaded the firmware directly from sammobile website this time.
I am trying to test BETA Marshamllow on mine S6 but when flashing everyting and then flash Marshmallow Bootloader i stuck on Powered by Android and keeps rebooting.
The steps are:
1. Copy the file named "G920F_3ZPA1_M(6.0.1)_Flashable.zip" to the device SD card.
2. Flash TWRP and Bootloader (5.1.1).tar in ODIN
3. Boot to recovery
4. Flash the (6.0.1) Flashable ZIP in recovery
5. Flash Bootloader (6.0.2) in ODIN
I have galaxy s6 G920F and I can't return to stock ROM, if I flash via Odin android 5.1.1, it says successful then stops on boot screen. I also did factory rest after installing also cleared cache but nothing happens. I tried France stock ROM 5.1.1 XEF I guess also UK BTE but I got same results.. but I can install custom ROM and it works fine but I need to return my phone but can't until it's on stock ROM.
It also says dm-verity verification failed. I just need to boot with stock ROM other error or warning messages don't matter..
If bootloader is locked, turned off the USB debugging, and device is bricked, it's stopped at logo. What can I do ?!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI flashed my LG G3 Because i felt that the sound was not working anymore and that it can be a software issue which it was a hard ware issue ( loud speaker wasnt connected because of screw) Anyways preformed the stock FW Flash following the guide that highonandroid provided to go completely back to a stock rom. After flashing i restart phone and the boot takes forever until it finally hangs on the tmobile screen. there was a point where i left it over night to see if it will turn on but it still hung for a good 8 hours. Ive done everything i can which can be that i preformed atleast hundreds of hard resets but nothing is working.. there was a point where i did manage to turn it on then i tried updating to lolipop and when it reboots the bootloop is back..
View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night my phone died, and I left it charging overnight. I'm not sure if it was even charging properly because when I woke up this morning there was no indicator light on. (green or red).
When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it.
My Nexus 5 is stuck at the flying dots after Lollipop OTA update. Already try factory reset. Cant connect to my Lap (running Windows 10) because it says in the device manager: Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed), so I cant manually update the driver and cant access it with ADB and Fastboot tool. The device has no USB debugging enabled. In the old computer where I used to connect the device and has the drivers installed says the same thing in device manager as my new laptop.

I had a new nexus 5 running on android 6.0 ,I was planning on rooting my phone , had the oem bootloader unlocked - the twrp installed , however after flashing the elementalx and beta supersu , my phone was in a bootloop for 4 hours. My mate was mucking about with my phone earlier and changed the wallpaper to a pic from facebook so I'm thinking it maybe has something to do with that... I've been through the settings and can't find anything... been in the widgets to try and get it back cause I remember on my old samsung you could put it on the screen as a widget... but no luck!
I've turned it on and off but no luck, and I don't want to have to resort to restoring it to the factory settings cause I don't want to lose everything..
I have unlocked bootloader, flash modified boot.img and recovery but when I boot the device I get 'Your device is corrupt and may not work properly' I then get stuck on the google boot screen. When I go into TWRP recovery it cannot mount anything so I cannot even perform a factory reset.

It was working normally and the software was functional etc. However, once I woke up, the phone was constantly restarting itself, and wouldn't load past the boot animation. I tried to load up fastboot to enter the TWRP recovery, however, the phone froze on the load screen. I should also add that my custom boot animation was replaced by the CyanogenMod mascot.
I tried to use WugFresh's NRT to flash a factory image of Android 6, however, the command terminal indicated that each process had failed. This did not restore the phone to its original condition.
I should also point out that I have been running a CM 12.1 nightly, which has been very stable and I have been using this nightly, without major problems (bar the infrequent system UI crashes) for a couple of months. It is obviously rooted and I have a Nandroid backup, which I can't access for aforementioned reasons.
I got a Samsung S6, been good for 6-7 months now. Today it just shut off, battery was at 25-35%. I turned it on and it has since been stuck on the logo screen. I searched it up on the internet and tried doing a reboot with Volume down and Power/lock screen, but it just goes back to the logo screen and wont go past it.

Yesterday it was the letter 'e...' Not sure how I got it, may have been a dodgy 3rd party app. I can see it flash by when I am loading a page, or when I am in my gallery or even while in camera mode. I have attached photos of it below, does anyone know what is causing this? I would like to remove it
I have tried changing wallpapers, and looking through my files for the letter icons with no luck. AVG isn't picking up anything either.
