Galaxy S5 :: Stuck On Reboot Screen (Samsung Logo) After Root?
Sep 21, 2015
I just tried rooting my phone after a YouTube tutorial and i tried turning the phone on and it is stuck on the Samsung logo and I'm afraid i killed my phone what do I do?
I want to remove its demo retail file, for this I root it with zeroflte file "CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f".Now phone is stuck on "Samsung Galaxy S6 live demo unit Powered by Android", It can go to download mode but not in recovery by keys combination,
I've got an S6 Australian SM-G920i version. Done the root option and done the twrp recover flash in odin however i keep getting stuck at Samsung Logo. Tried root first and then flash twrp that didn't work, tried twrp first then tried to boot to recovery to root from twrp and still no go. teamwin says it compaitible with SM-G920i version tried TWRP 2.8.6.0 and TWRP 2.8.6.2 still no go.
If i set my phone to airplane mode (which i usually do at night) the next morning i'll find it with near to no battery and just hanged on the samsung logo. I've tried to leave it out of airplane mode a whole night and it did not crash. Now just today, to see it happen, i set it to airplane mode, within an hour/hour and a half i tried to pick it up and wasnt responding to any button and suddenly shows the samsung logo.
So i'm pretty sure now that the behavior is linked to Airplane mode. I've cleared cache etc. I'm just not sure where to start. There must be something that just crashes the phone when in airplane mode. Going for factory reset is out of the question for now (well idealy). ps : it was fine under KK
Where to start/what to look for ? I'm in the meantime downloading the Android SDK, after that I'll put the usb debugging on and have an adb logcat running and force a crash again.
I have rooted Samsung galaxy s6. Last night i searched google for unroot and remove super su app. Then from root explorer i deleted Supersu.apk file and SU file and restarted the device then it stucks on samsung logo with blue led blinking.
I got my Galaxy s6 SM-G920F last week and i rooted it, today i tried to use this guide in order to enhance the multitasking on my device [URL] ....
i did backup the build.prop (in the download folder in sdcard) but after i rebooted the device (and followed the guide that i linked) it got stuck in the Samsung logo, I don't have a custom recovery and i dont want to trigger KNOX on. My android version is 5.0.2 ....
1. I have knox tripped 2. When i flash stock with smart switch i get stuck on samsung boot logo 3. Same thing with odin....stuck on samsung boot logo 4. To get the phone working and boot to desktop i flash custom kernel like unikernel 5. The problem is i want to use stock kernel i want to flash with smart switch and i want to get updates from samsung like i was before because when i use unikernel and i try to updates phone said your rom is modified...
Is there any chance to bypass samsung logo without flashing custom kernel...
I have sgs6 gm920F NEE, I tried to root it but ended up to brick my phone. When i power it up it just get stuck in the "samsung galaxy s6" screen with little red text in the left top corner saying "recovery is not seandroid enforcing"..
I cant get to recovery or get the device up and running, all i can do is to get in odin mode/download mode.
i have downloaded official 5.1.1 firmware, i have tried using different versions of odin but everytime its the same, after the "nand write start" it just fails, every single time. i have tried to use the hidden.img only from the firmware but it ends up just booting the samsung logo over and over again. also i have tried different usb ports..
Basically i cant install new firmware via odin, i cant install it via kies (I don't know the phones serial number, receipt or the box wont say this, or the phone either)..
I had less than 7% of battery and I went into Ultra Power Saving Mode where I got only notification upper tab and blank screen below. I reboot my phone but stuck on Samsung logo. How to fix this?
Tried wipe cache in recovery mode and charging phone up to 100% but no luck, still stuck on Samsung logo.
Phone is international S6, not rooted, official. Any options except hard reset?
My samsung galaxy s6 sm-G920F stucks on logo screen after update. I used smart switch because odin didnt work for me. And after updating my phone just stuck on the logo. When i tried volume up+ power button+ home it didnt go to recovery mode. i can only go to download mode. What can i do?
when i tried to flash with odin the results were: stucks on setup connection, nand write start fail and recovery is not seandroid enforcing.
I was currently on a mod and it keeps on freezing so i decided to revert to stock. Now, when i wiped phone using recovery tool, it is stuck on SONY logo and will not continue to boot. I have also tried to go recovery but it won't.
I did some cydia updates, against my better judgement, it worked ok for a day or so then choked while txting. Its an unlocked 3g on ios3.0. I think it was mobile substrate, I ssh'd an older version, a deb file but no luck. Is a restore my only option? I have my old 3.0 ipsw.
I got a Samsung S6, been good for 6-7 months now. Today it just shut off, battery was at 25-35%. I turned it on and it has since been stuck on the logo screen. I searched it up on the internet and tried doing a reboot with Volume down and Power/lock screen, but it just goes back to the logo screen and wont go past it.
I wanted to root my galaxy s2, i followed the instructions up till the point where i flash with odin with an insecure kernel, after reboot , the phone is now stuck on the samsung boot screen.I cant even boot into recovery modem.
Have tried holding various keys in an attempt to access a BIOS screen or some such thing to no avail (why aren't cell phones more like computers?). As for how my phone got to this state...
-I wanted to add custom ring tones to my recently purchased Samsung Intensity but found that texting them to myself via vzwpix.com led to a significant decrease in quality and the costs would quickly add up as I attempted to fix the issue by editing the sound files in Audacity and texting newer versions to my phone
-To get around using vzwpix.com, I found a method of putting the files directly on the phone by installing the phones drivers to my computer using Samsung PC Studio 3 and moving them directly to the phone using Qualcomm Product Support Tools. The method is copy+pasted below for reference
-After a while I got the ring tone to how I wanted it and went to delete the experimentation files on the phone. I had done this in the past through the phone's interface without issue (though an attempted file rename had caused a quick freeze which was solved by removing and replacing the battery), but this time it froze when attempting to delete the final file
-The phone would not respond to any keypad presses including the power button, so I chose to restart the phone by removing and putting back in the battery
-The phone will no longer pass the "Verizon Wireless" screen and reboots after hanging on that screen for ~7 seconds
Pasted below is the complete method I used to transfer the files for reference. Other smarter methods may exist, but given the issue I had with vzwpix.com, my lack of a mircoSD card, and my desire to avoid media messaging charges I elected to go with this method. Credit goes to ch from the Mobiledia forums for figuring this out and typing this up. It works beautifully aside from the issue I have had. I suggest that anyone who chooses to use it remove sound files from the phone only through QPST and not through the phone's interface.
Software required: 1.Samsung PC Studio 2. QPST (Or other software to allow you to browse the phone's file system)
1. Install Samsung PC Studio (Will only be used to install drivers for the intensity) 2. Change USB Port Map to "Modem" on your phone a. Go to Settings & Tools > Phone Info > and then press the # button. b. Enter 000000 for the lock code. c. Select option 2 "Port Map" d. Select option 4 "USB" e. Select option 4 "Modem" 3. Plug phone into usb port. 4. Go to device manager and install drivers for the unidentified devices a. The drivers will be located in C:Program Files SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3 5. Start QPST EFS Explorer 6. Browse to brewmodmr on the phone 7. Delete MrInfo.db 8. Drag and drop your mp3 ringtone files into this directory 9. Restart the phone. 10. A new MrInfo.db file will be created. Copy it to your desktop. 11. Edit the file with notepad. You should see an entry for each sound file in the directory, followed by |0|0 or something like that. For the first file change the second 0 to a 2. For the next file change that same zero to a 3, and so on. I guess the second zero just needs to be a 2, 3, or 4. 12. Copy MrInfo.db back to the phone in same directory. 13. Reboot the phone and your mp3 will show up under the "My Ringtones" menu.
Okay I have the sm-G920P, and I used cf autoroot to root, I then installed twrp and the renegade rom. I also installed the unikernel kernel
The phone will start, display splash, Go to the "android is starting" screen, sometimes lets me choose wifi network, sometimes reboots at this point, the farthest I ever get is where it says we are preparing your services, this may take 3-4 mins. But I can never get through it all the way because the device keeps rebooting itself.
I tried flashing back the stock files from sammobile to no avail, I also went to the best buy store and had the samsung guys flash it 2x .... no luck...
I knew I shouldnt have attempted to root this phone.. Where I can find a PIT file for this model?
So I tried to root my 6P with the Nexus Root toolkit , first I unlocked the bootloader, that went well . After that I tried to root it but my build number wasn't there (MDB08L) So I researched if that would be a problem and a couple of people said they followed the same instructions as with the MDB08K build and it worked just fine on theirs so I proceeded.
I selected the "any build" from the options on the toolkit and it seemed to be going well, I followed the instructions , flashed the files on twrp and from there I rebooted and it got stuck on a bootloop... :/ so then I tried to use the toolkit to fix the bootloop and selected the MDB08K and after it ran and finished it isn't exactly bootlooping but it is now stuck on the black Google logo and does nothing ...
Okay, first let me start off by giving some descriptions to questions you may have:
*My phone is not rooted. *I have not messed with any modifications. *My phone's automatic update is turned off. (I haven't update since 4.42.) *I've already erased the cache in recovery mode. *I don't have a back-up.
My phone had died because the battery life ran out. I charged it fully and unplugged it. I kept it off for a little while, and when I turned it on it booted normally to the start-up screen, blinked off and restarted back to the screen; it remained stuck there. I can power off and enter recovery mode, but I can't power off. The charge logo appears when I plug it up, but it stays there with an empty power logo even after I unplug it. I have to always take out the battery to turn it off. What did I do wrong, and I can I fix it without having to wipe out documents? (I have a lot of writing documents).
I've been trying to take advantage of googles 10p app promotion but it seems that for any app I buy I get stuck at the "starting download" screen. This is the first time I've tried buying an app and its just not working. I can download free apps from the Market just fine, its just the paid apps that are giving me grief! I've googled about and tried the "clear cache" from Market app and "clear data" from download manager but it just doesn't work!
Rooted GS2 on standard O2 firmware connecting via wifi.
I have a display problem with one of my two phone. When you power on the phone the Samsung logo appear and off after that but the phone boot up OK just don't have any on the screen, I can make call or receive OK. I disassemble both phones and swap the main board and find out that nothing wrong with the LCD Screen but the Main board. The phone have BK03 bin and I loaded with CB23 bin and it working good now.
I have galaxy s6 G920F and I can't return to stock ROM, if I flash via Odin android 5.1.1, it says successful then stops on boot screen. I also did factory rest after installing also cleared cache but nothing happens. I tried France stock ROM 5.1.1 XEF I guess also UK BTE but I got same results.. but I can install custom ROM and it works fine but I need to return my phone but can't until it's on stock ROM.
It also says dm-verity verification failed. I just need to boot with stock ROM other error or warning messages don't matter..
I was trying to fix my HTC and everything went well till i reached the lockscreen i had to go pick up my brother and when i came back it was on the reboot/factoryunlock/whatever it is screen so i did reboot and now it is stuck on the HTC logo screen i already tried holding down the power button and the vlume down buttom and nothing happened.
Phone has been working on and off. Occasionally it would get caught in the restart loop but now it is just getting stuck on the logo. I can get into recovery, factory rest, wipe caches but after doing all that still it gets stuck. The phone is unlocked and rooted..
ROM? was that used during the jailbreaking process?
Didnt attempt to OTA (?) it just started with this out of nowhere.
The phone is T-Mobile.
By "working on and off" i mean the phone was working perfectly fine up until like a month ago when it started occasionally falling into a reboot loop. I would resolved that by factory reseting, it will work for a few days then go into the restarting again. now, after falling into yet another restart situation, and factory reseting (like the 5th time), the phone is just stuck on the HTC logo. I am able to access ClockworkMod Recovery but nothing I do inside here works... Ive factory reset and emptied every emptyable cahe I see.
I installed lifetime free ovi maps on to N97 via computer and it worked initially. Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. Won't go beyond this point.
My Nexus 5 which I have been using for 5 months without any issues has suddenly got stuck on the startup screen. This whole day it has just been showing the google screen and nothing I do would change it. I tried rebooting but that didn't work either.
