Samsung Galaxy S II :: Thin Vertical Line On Screen
May 18, 2012
Suddenly I have a thin white line on the left side of the screen of my Samsung Galaxy S II about 1/8 of an inch from the side. It is on all screens (most noticeable on dark screens). So far it doesn't get in the way of using the phone. But it is very annoying on an othewise awesome screen.
I've been seeing a mysterious black thin line across my LCD screen.Sometimes it apeears for longer than five minutes.I have not dropped my phone and I have a screen protector over it.
I'm using the bold 9900 and I got it just over a month ago. Four days ago I noticed a thin black line flickering across the screen and I thought It would go away because the phone didn't drop. This morning, it became two thin black lines.I have no clue how it came about or how to fix it and its really distracting. I updated my OS to the latest one and I also updated my BBM to the 6.1 beta. The phone didn't drop, the line just came out of nowhere.
My iphone stopped working. I can only see a thing white line on the screen and the screen does not respond at all although turning the phone on vibrate makes it vibrate. The screen has been cracked for some time but has worked fine until today.
My bold 9900 Camera recently started displaying a thin pink line across the screen horizontally. This affects both pictures and videos captured with the camera.
My Pearl 9105, which is less than a month old has suddenly got a vertical line on the left hand side of the home screen. how I can get rid of it? The line that is not the phone!!
I have a Nokia Lumia 710 since April 2012. But, from today (9 September, 2012), it's camera stopped working properly. I clicked a pic and then put it in my pocket. I took it out five minutes later to take another one, and since then it's been showing a vertical line. I thought I busted the cover-glass. But it was spotless. So I did a reboot. That did not work. So I immediately checked some other applications that access the camera (like ShutterPro and Handyscan). They too showed the line. Then I reopened the camera app and I zoomed in and even the line got magnified. So I took a sample picture, and viewed it on my laptop. It is a pattern of dots. I enclose the photo with this.
Bold 9900 camera pictures all come out with thin horizontal blue line across them, the line is visible on screen when using viewfinder, no line on screen when not in camera mode
Recently (< 3 weeks ago) got a Galaxy S2, and today a bright green vertical line has appeared about 1cm in from the left edge, and it's there whenever the display is on. Can I fix this, or do I have to go back to the shop and get a replacement phone?
my Blackberry screen randomly has two thin lines on its screen. It's not actually the outer screen, just the inside with the graphics. I recently noticed those lines and I just find it annoying to see.
The front facing camera produces a purple line through the top middle of my display and when I snap a photo it remains. Is this hardware? I tested it with the google camera app as well. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6
So I have my galaxy s5 for about a year now. So just today I noticed that when I switch to my front facing camera a faint green line shows up across the top of the screen. My rear facing is fine and my screen it self is fine. Why this is happening. It's even on snapchat and my stock camera app.
My Bold 9780 has a white screen with two thin red lines down it, I have tried doing the update as per blackberry solutions on pc, however it says 'no updates found' and the problem remains. I must admit that I tapped the phone in frustration and the screen was back to normal. For a while obviously there is a connection problem somewhere.
A couple of times now I've had this problem where I go to use my phone or read a new text that has come through and when I go to enter my 4 digit pin the screen is not responding & I have this blue horizontal line that moves down from the top of the screen continuously like its doing some sort of scan over the phone. I have no way to stop this or to have the ability to enter my 4 digit pin for accessing my phone.
Eventually I give up trying to enter my pin & put my phone down for hours. When I come back to try again twice now I've been able to use my phone like normal and the issue seems to have gone away but other times this still remains for a longer time then randomly starts to work as normal. I've forced my phone to turn off & or reboot but this still isn't fixing the problem. I haven't been able to access my phone for over 10 hours and I have miss calls & messages that people have sent me but unable to get past my 4 digit pin to read them.
I have lg g3 international model yesterday I've started to notice very faint vertical lines on the screen when on a white background. Its gonna be ok or not?
New Android user here and new to the LG family. Finally settled on the G4 after comparing a few different Android phones. Got the phone home, let it charge, updated the phone, and set up all my accounts and apps. However, not 10 hours into owning the phone, I've now come across a problem - the whole left side of the screen (50% of the screen in vertical) randomly will freeze, making the phone look like it has had a stroke. Sometimes the freeze lasts for a few seconds, sometimes for several minutes, before it freezes on another screen. The weird thing is that the right side of the screen still works and acts as if nothing is wrong on the left. I plan on returning the phone tomorrow, but I'm seriously concerned as to whether this will happen again if I get another G4.
a couple of days ago,i began to realize that there were moving vertical lines across the screen.the lines are most visible when my light sensor(intensity) settings is set at 75%. it only came to my attention when i hard resetted my phone 2 days ago and the intensity settings was reverted to its default 75%(i've kept it customized at 25% until 2 days ago).the moving vertical lines are less visible in darker backgrounds and at a lower light intensity.i was just wondering-is this normal?
My I phone 4 has 4 purple stripes taking up the whole of the screen. This has happened before ( around 2 weeks ago ). I tried powering down and resetting. The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.
i haven't dropped my phone for this to happen, the lines just appeared on my screen first going horizontal then vertical and they keep switching like that. i let it charge overnight and i restarted it but the lines remain.
how I (in the simplest possible way) can use my pc as a secondary screen to my galaxy sII? I want my screen on the phone to be mirrored on the computor, so I can show (i.e.with a projector) my actions on the Samsung to an audience.
I have a problem with my nokia.everything was alright till yesterday. When is in vertical (the screen) freeze and the pictures seem cracked. When i pass in landscape mode evrything is alright. What problem can it be ?? a firmware problem?? Im also afraid to get the firmware updated because when i updated once my screen became blank and than i have to programm it a thing that caused me 60 euros.
and it won't go away. the phone still works, as I am able to receive and send calls. I can press buttons and see changes on the screen, but all i get are vertical lines. Sometimes when I hit the phone a few times and press the lock button, it would go back to normal, but then it will return. Is the LCD display broken? I've opened the BB to see if it was loose, it is not. I've taken battery out and re-inserted to no avail.
Just got my new Moto X Pure. I'm seeing really faint vertical lines, most noticeable on a white background with the brightness on high, all over the screen. I'd honestly say they resemble some kind of light burn in if I didn't know better. They are quite faint and unobtrusive but I get distracted by it. Is this normal for a LCD TFT screen?
