I have a really simple a question, I can't seem to find it anywhere on the phone or web. When you press a button or type a message, it vibrates, how do I turn this off? I went into the keyboard settings, on a h t c there is a touch type option but I don't seem that.

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this as even the mighty Google didn't offer a great deal.
A lot of people post about the 'Battery fully charged' notification being a pain but, I turn my phone off every night when charging but even then it vibrates when the charge is complete.
If there any way to disable this feature without rooting the handset?
On the Galaxy S5, whenever you long-press the Home button, it brings up what appears to be a Google search page or something. Apparently I’m really bad at pressing buttons quickly (either that or the button is malfunctioning) because I keep accidentally bringing up this damn Google search page instead of the home screen.
Is there any possible way to disable the long-press or even just change what it does??? I’ve searched through the phone’s settings and all over the internet and haven’t found anything useful yet.
is this possible? I've googled for a little while can't find anything, I guess I'm not phrasing it right to find it?I like my long hold recent apps to bring up multi window, I would love to long hold back maybe to launch a "quick compose" message without leaving my app or start the music player

Have searched a lot about this problem, but looks like nobody has faced this before.hen I open my contact list (or the message list) and then press the back button, they don't close. I have to press the home button to come out of them forcefully. I then can kill the messaging app by going in task manager but there is no such option for contact list. This problem occurs only for contact list and message list. Rest all apps I am able to close by pressing back button.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI install an app on the playstore for remote control of kodi on my htpc computer , after uninstalling it , noticed when I long press and hold my home button It no longer opens up voice search, it opens google now cards page I then have to click on the mic button at the top to perform a voice search.
Is there a way to reset this ? , I uninstalled updates on google app cleared data ect , now when I press and hold my home button I only get these 2 options.
If I select "google" it opens google now page (same way as above)
Looking for a way tog et pack the long press home button and you can instantly start talking to the google voice .

I cannot type in password on any online services eg, facebook/email etc. I can type-in username but cannot type in password its just a blinking cursor you see but cannot see any alphabets, numbers etc etc..been trying too, to "Factory Data Reset" but i need to type in password for my emails and so forth.

Read a fix to turn off predictive text so I have to do that now just to use the email app.Now, I can't even type in the body of an email. If I create a new email, it prompts for the recipient, which I enter fine. Then it lets me select the subject field but it will not go into the body of the email when I touch it to begin typing my email. I've tried changing keyboards, minimizing the keyboard - nothing. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy partner's Xperia Play decided not to boot this morning. (It was fine at 7.30 but by 8.30 it was dead). On pressing the power button, it vibrates for a few seconds but does not show any other sign of booting. He has tried removing the battery to boot it but to no avail. When he plugged it into his laptop, the machine failed to recognise the device. It just continuously made the device connect then device disconnect sounds. The laptop is only a couple of weeks old so I highly doubt that it's an issue with the USB ports. It does not detect the phone long enough to perform an update. Is it possible that the USB cable is faulty, or the USB port on the phone? Or could it be a compatibility issue with the laptop?

I have an iPhone 4S with ios 5.1 Whenever I press the home button twice to close some app or something, the phone restarts. There was this same problem yesterday and then automatically it got normal. Before that ,once with this issue I did a recallibration ( opening an app and then pressing and holding the lock button until the switch off slide appears and then holding the home button until I am back on the home screen) which solved my problem. This has happened many times with this phone , even when it was running on iOS 5.0.1.
