I cannot type in password on any online services eg, facebook/email etc. I can type-in username but cannot type in password its just a blinking cursor you see but cannot see any alphabets, numbers etc etc..been trying too, to "Factory Data Reset" but i need to type in password for my emails and so forth.

I used to lock my phone with android devide manager to fix this but now when i try to do so it says ''Since Google has confirmed that the screen lock is already set, entered password will not be required '' and now i cannot unlock my phone by entering a new password. I dont' want to do a factory reset, what is up with this?????

It comes up to a screen telling me to "Type password to decrypt storage" and as you can guess I've never encrypted anything so I don't have a password.So I get the phone to load into Bootloader.I try to factory reset and it tells me ***TAMPERED*** ***LOCKED*** ***Security Warning***.Well, I'm at a complete loss as to what to do.
I got the phone last year from AT&T. It's not stolen. It's not second-hand.It's stock. I've never tried to root it or do anything but use it as intended.I can't use my phone to do ANYTHING. It's S-On as well.
The strange thing is when I plug power into it, I can see the screen for a moment then it dims. It will ring, but you cannot answer, as I said, none of the keys will prompt the phone to do anything. View 5 Replies View Relatedso i just downloaded berrybuzz trail from a ota because appworld doesnt work in my country and i downloaded the playboy irish animated theme and i did a reboot because it said some stuff might nto work untill it does so i did but now it wont let me unlock it :s i can c that the alt keyt and caps work cause when i clcik them it shows that symbole at the top right but i press the unlock bottom nothing try to type my pass nothing doesnt even say pop up the box that says emergency call unlock etc. i also just upgraded to the newest offical OS

I can load the app up no problem over packet data, 3G, GPRS or whatever available but when I click on the email address box to type my in address, it stays white and nothing appears. Same goes for the password box. I tried a full factory restore and then reinstalling the packet data settings but no change...

A corporete policy gets pushed to my phone and I need to accept it. OK, no problem ... I accept it, but the Lock screen settings ( under Settings -> Location And Security -> Change Lock Screen ) only allows the "Password" option, saying the other options,e.g. the PIN way is remotely disabled by administrator, although that is NOT the case. I've double checked with our system admins on this.Our system admins are NOT forcing the "Password" option ... they're OK with just using the PIN, and I had it like that, in the old 2.3.3 version !For this setup ... this will display the long PASSWORD for lock-screen, instead of just a PIN which is what I prefer to to use instead:

I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

This evening I went to change it back and the option for swipe and no lock arent available. They say, " turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage." I tried looking through these areas and didn't find anything. I didn't change any of those settings or install any apps that may have changed it (Android pay is deactivated).
