I am new to this forum and the Samsung Galaxy S2. When I download anything from my PC onto the phone it goes straight into My Files. I cannot then get anything in My Files to save to a ringtone or notification?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had lots of music in my galaxy s2 phone memory and then moved it all over to the sd card when I bought one. Now when I open up the music player (the standard one that came bundled up with the phone) I get 2 of every track when I open up an album, one track plays and the other one gets the message " the player does not support this type of file". I have completely deleted the whole music folder from the phone memory so where is the phone finding these duplicate files that will not play and how do I get rid of them

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an SIII but no one seems to be viewing those forums so I thought I would ask here. I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files.The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something?This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.
I wonder if anyone here knows how to load standard subtitles files (.srt) while playing video files (like .avi) on my SGS2. There's an idle "Subtitles" button on the bottom right of the player's menu, which I hadn't been able to use. Should I try a different one from the Android market?

However, files do not show in the app when I add them to the SD Card.
The SD card has been formatted in the phone. I'm adding files to this folder directory - Card/Android/data/com.google.android.music/files. Is this correct?
I have Samsung Moment the notification ringtones are ogg files. Anyone knows how to pull them off the sd card. When converted it puts it in music folder but you can select them from there

I have downloaded Heimdall 1.3.1 for windows 7 32bit. I want to flash the litening rom but when I extract the tar the files that I get are:
Factory fs, disc image file
Modem.bin, BIN file
zimage, file (type just says file)
When I try to put factoryfs in that partition heimdall comes up with a message that it expects a rts file.? Modem is pretty straight forward, but what kind of file is the zimage is it an actual zimage file to go into that partition or does it go somewhere else?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just can't send emails with attached files. Not ir Email app not it GMAIL app. No matter the size of the file.
I go to the out tray in Email app, and displays a button: Send messages. I click it, it goes "Sending messages..." Then back to the square one. No error message, no nothing. The same with the gMAIL app just that there is no button, just stays in the out tray. However when I forward an email with attached content it would send alright, but no if I attach the file myself, or "Insert" from gallery.
I tried playing a sample in my galaxy s2 that i just got. I was surprised to see that there was no audio on it. The video is awsome. There is no audio on speaker or on headset or with a 5.1 head set. get the audio on hd files.
I know that the video recording is 1080p.
I have some mkv videos that are 10gb-15gb and I want to put them on my 16gb sdhc cards to play on my galaxy s2 with my new mhl adapter, but fat 32 will only allow files upto 4gb, and when I format to NTFS the card is unreadable by my galaxy s2.

It plays perfect when I play it after copying it from the PC. fter couple of hours or so when I try to play the file second time, its not playing, I am getting blank(black) screen, when I try to scroll it or fwd it, I can see that the file is getting stuck.I can play the files once again after rebooting my phone each time. initially suspect that the issue could be with the video file, but experienced the issue with mutliple files which I copied.
