View 9 RepliesSo i recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and i am having issues connecting my bluetooth media to my 2013 Ford Taurus.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have successfully 'paired' my new S2 to my Ford Focus audio system, and it makes and receives phone calls fine - hands free. However - the current settings do not transfer my 'contacts' list to the car system. Every time I turn on the car ignition I get a little 'tune' from the phone, and a notification that says (something like) 'Ford audio would like to share your address book' and an option to 'OK' or cancel. If I click 'OK' my contacts are listed on the car system. There is also another window which says 'Do not ask again'Has anyone else had this issue - because I am getting fed up with having to allow the phone and car to share my contacts list every time I turn on the ignition.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have set up my bluetooth to work on my Ford Focus Audio system. Followed the instructions:
- Paired the devices.
- Entered the code given by the audio unit.
- Confirmed that they were connected.
The blackberry asked if I wanted the phone to connect automatically to the unit (So I don't have to go through the process of waiting for, and accepting a connection on the phone. Drove to the garage to get fuel and turned off the engine. Got back in the car started up and drove off. At this point the phone should have connected automatically like my old Nokia. No sign of it doing so. On stopping I looked at the phone and it was asking to accept a connection from Ford Audio. This is not automatic connecting. Automatic connecting is the phone linking up itself as soon as I get in and switch the radio unit on. So why hasn't this worked?
When I try pairing and the X10 discovers the Escape bluetooth, Escape displays a 6 digit pin number. When I try entering the code, the X10 does not respond or recognizes the pin. Is there anyone who has successfully paired their X10 to the Ford Sync system?
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust doing a bit of research before taking the plunge for a Galaxy S. (Haven't logged on here in years!)Can anyone confirm whether you can play audio via USB through your car stereo? Reading online and people seem to have issues, even when switch to mass storage device. Apparently Samsung use proprietary USB driver instead of generic. There's plenty of other ways to connect audio, I know, but I'd prefer a single cable for music/ charging.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S2 and am trying to connect it to my TalkTalk Broadband. I am not technical. My IPAD,Dell,TV, HTC,PC all connect without problems to the Router (DSL 2780) and without me having to make any adjustments. The SGS2 however, refuses to connect to the Router - yes, I have checked the Router passwords etc.. I just get " Authentication Error" message. I was able to connect the SSG2 to a Hot Spot I created on the HTC phone - so, the phone is obviously ok. There must be a problem with the settings on the Router - however, all other devices connect without a problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Galaxy S II for 5 months now and have always gotten it connected to my home's wifi. Now for some reason it's not connecting. My wifi is up and running fine (connected on my PC as I type this), the password is set fine for the Galaxy, but instead of connecting, Settings only says "Saved, secured with WPA/WPA2" after clicking "Connect". Signal strength is noted as "Excellent". I've tried re-entering the password several times, but the same results every time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just bought my first Samsung Galaxy S2 and love it to bits. The only problem I've encountered in the three days I've had it is that it won't connect via wifi to my home computer (a Mac). With my Mac's 'Airport' and 'Internet Sharing' turned on, my boyfriend can connect to wifi from the Mac to his iPhone but my S2 refuses to connect. Once I turn on wifi on the S2, under 'Wi-Fi networks' it brings up my computer and my neighbours' wifi networks. I click on my computer's name, type in the password, but then it just cycles from 'Scanning...', 'Connecting..' to 'Disconnected'. I've spent hours trawling Google for a solution. Under the 'Advanced' wifi settings I selected 'Use static IP' (but I'm not convinced I put in the right numbers under 'IP address', 'Gateway', 'Netmask' and 'DNS'). I don't know if it makes a difference but in System Preferences > Network > Airport, it says 'Airport has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet'. But my computer is clearly visible on the wifi network because my boyfriend could connect wifi from my computer to his iPhone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I have had an iphone 4 for years now, its jailbroken and has been my main phone forever. However I needed an upgrade badly, so I purchased an unlocked galaxy s6. I have so much data on the old iphone I must move, contacts, pictures, music, and I dont use icloud. So I purchased an otg cable, which worked perfectly for transferring data off of my ipad, but not my iphone.
When I connect the iphone to my galaxy, it pulls up smart switch. However it stays on the "connecting to ios device" screen. When I pull the notifications bar down on my galaxy, it says "camera connected". So my question is how can I prevent my galaxy s6 from recognizing the iphone as a camera, so smart switch can connect to it to transfer my data?
My s2 will let me connect to the internet through the browser no problems but none of the apps that require internet (play store, gmail, facebook etc) will work. Have reset the network settings, restarted my phone and am still stuck.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've installed the latest version of Kies which goes by with no problems. Connect the phone to the PC and Kies recognises a Samsung device is trying to connect as the phone icons remains 'connecting'. However, that's it, it goes no further than this. 'My Computer' sometimes recognises the phone as a device, sometimes not, and the Device Manager is currently flagging up the phone as the only problem with the PC, saying in its device status that: This device cannot start (Code 10).
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully rooting an S2 (AT&T version) I get this problem after connecting the phone to my PC. Windows says it cannot find the Hardware ID and therefore cannot interact with the phone. Also, why 'Wireless Network' connection not working after rooting. I could connect to my in-house network before routing, but no longer.

It connects to the network, but nothing loads on the internet browser, or on any other app that uses the internet. I've tried a few different networks and have had the same problem. I'm running 4.0.3.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have 'networked' my SGS2 to my Windows XP PC using 'ASTRO file manager' and the 'ASTRO SMB module' (both downloaded free on Market and obviously you need to be rooted too). With it I can access the Shared Folder on my desktop PC and just drag and drop files over. (Obviously you can just use Kies Air or plug in the USB cable, but I was bored so I Googled and fiddled).

My phone recently upgraded its software (wiping out everything on the phone in the process), and ever since it will no longer allow me to listen to audio through the sync Bluetooth. Doesn't even seem to want to work when hard wired into the console. Phone works fine for calls, just not audio. Verizon was clueless.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday, I made a call in my truck (2013 F-150) using bluetooth and the Sync system and it was super quiet. I had the volume on the phone all the way up, and the radio in the truck was turned up where it normally is. I later tried another call, to another person, and it was the same issue. I deleted the connection, both on the phone and in the truck and set it up again like it was new. It seems like it may have worked, but hard to tell, since I am just sitting in my driveway and it's to late to really call people to test it.
View 3 Replies View Relatedstarting just over a week ago my Ford Sync (not Ford Touch) stopped receiving texts from my s5. I have tried unpairing and repairing the phone and sync, I get the message to allow acess to my phone book but not for texts (even doubled check that MAP profile was on, it was). Message notification set to on also. I think my phone updated, and that's when the texts stopped working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI spent ages yesterday individually connecting each phone contact to their fb account and then today all of a sudden they all just dissapeared again! I don't want every fb 'friend' to appear in my phonebook, so how on earth do I do this so that it's not going to delete them all each day. This phone won't defeat me, it has such good reviews so I am baffled why I am having problems.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a customer who came in the other day with a problem. He purchased a Samsung Omnia II from Bell and had them unlock the phone for him so he can use it in the Dominican while he's down there for 2-3 months at a time. Problem is this, he hasn't been able to successfully get the phone to connect with his computer. Bell tech support have gone over several possible solutions to no avail. He has tried connecting to both a Windows based PC as well as a Mac and still no connection, although the Mac apparently will get further in connecting before failing.
I'm wondering if the phone being unlocked might be causing the issues, but Bell themselves unlocked it. The customer is coming back in this weekend and I would like to have some kinda answer or at least hope of an answer for him.
Alright, I have just purchased a Freeform (SCH R350) and it came bundled with the New PC Studio. I followed the directions, installed the Studio, installed the USB drivers and then connected my phone. My pc see's the phone as a removeable disk drive but PC Studio will not connect to the phone, but the phone says it is connected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife's 2009 Mariner Sync system worked great with her Nokia 5130. She is on AT&T, and just upgraded phones to a Nokia E63 and after successfully pairing with the Sync system, the phone will not accept calls or allow outgoing calls. The phone displays this message: "Call Not Allowed". Calling and receiving remains blocked with the same message even after walking out of range of the Mariner until she reboots the E63. The phone works normally until it connects to the Sync and the blocking starts again. The E63 can be linked by Bluetooth to our home computers without a problem. AT&T says the SIM card is fine and advised me to check with Nokia and Ford about a fix. That is why I am posting here. I already contacted SyncMyRide (Ford's customer support service for Sync) and worked with a service rep on the problem. After going through a lot of Q&A which included resetting Sync and clearing Bluetooth cache on the phone, he told me to install Sync V1.3 (was at V1.1). After installing the latest Sync update, and pairing the E63 again, nothing changed. The problem still exists. My wife is about to turn off Sync's Bluetooth.Does anybody have a clue whether or not this phone (and any other E series Nokia running the same OS) will function properly with Sync?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have my Google voice number as my default phone, and my default messaging app. It doesn't play nice with Ford Sync in our companies new Explorer. Let me state the regular Verizon number works flawless with it. Back to hangouts. I can dial out from sync with no problems. But incoming calls to the hangouts number(Google voice number) are not acknowledged by Sync. When I answer the call with the phone, the audio does come through sync, and I can hang up the call from sync. Text messages are not acknowledged at all by Sync. I can change sync to Bluetooth audio and hear/control from there. But, who wants to leave it set to Bluetooth audio. I want to hear the radio.

I have a 2011 Ford Flex and I have a 9300 Curve.my car says it supports text messaging while I drive but says my phone is not set up for text messaging via Bluetooth.I have tried the 9700 Bold as well but that does not support text messaging via bluetooth either. Is there a phone that BB makes that will support text while driving ?I have tried the app called Text'nDrive DriveSafe and the application does not work in the Ford car with the Sync Bluetooth.I want to be able to text while driving for work as well as have my text made audible for me and I know that the Ford sync does this but with what phone?
View 1 Replies View Related if I turn Bluetooth on before I get in my Ford Mondeo it connects to ford audio and starts playing media via Walkman BUT if I exit car and go.back in, say 20 mins later the Z3 auto connects, and the media starts playing but I get no sound except the odd crackle, the currently selected track is visible on the car radio screen and tracks can be skipped etc, the phonebook also works and I can make receive calls with no audio problems.
Never had this issue with my iPhone, you could leave the car and get back in and it would automatically start playing from where it stopped when you got out.
