Jul 13, 2011i have seen movies on Internet about connecting a usb stck to a samsung galaxy s 2 phone. as far as i can se you need a usb micro b male to a usb a female adaptor. however when i connect the adaptor to my phone nothing happens. whereas acc. to the Internet movie "samsung galaxy s2 usb otg demo " of nztechfreak you should see a usb host cable connected message in the host tray. however i don't get such a message. when i then connect my 40 gb lacie mini disk (which as far as i know works as a general usb stick) i won't be able to find that also. i also checked on my computer and it is formatted. i also tried with a real (8 gb ) usb stick, same problem.

Nov 21, 2011I have rebooted & wiped the curve ended up having to go into SAFE MODE to accept something, now the phone will power on to the loading screen but that is it.The bar scrolls across to the right, gets all the way over and then stops.The phone does nothing.Have tried rebooting into SAFE MODE again but it won't even let me do that now.The phone then goes into standby mode, ie. the screen goes blank until I press a button which results in the loading screen appearing again.

It is not my primary phone and I bought it mostly for the camera to take pics whenever I have my phone. Haven't had the phone for long but one thing that irks me is that the status icons (cell strength, wifi, battery, etc) on the top do not stay there and always disappears. I can make them reappear by sliding down from the top but is there any way or option to keep it always there?

Jan 10, 2011Recently my 5month old C5 keypad metal panel that cover menu (contact, menu, dial and poweroff) is loose out and surprisingly this metal pad only stick on by sticker, I try to bring it to the nokia service center but they said keypad is not cover by warranty, but how could such a careless design of a critical component in this case is a keypad that will be subject to presure of finger, is only design to stick only by double tape, in my whole life using Nokia and other brand never found such a careless design on keypad, allthough it look nice it should not be in separate piece and only stick by double tape??! and worse it Nokia service center do not want to be responsible for this careless design by this UI engineer?? I hope in the future Nokia RnD should really taking seriously on the design not only look nice and pack with feature but should really taking care small thing but critical such as this metal pad, any cellphone pad should come in one piece or at least not just a plain metal stick on the button by double tape, it should be robust.

Sep 29, 2014After disabling "Show Notification" for apps on SD card, reboot the phone, this setting will become re-enabled. It seems the setting does not stick for apps on SD.
I've tested these steps but no luck:
- disable it, move it to SD, reboot.
- disable it, reboot, move it to SD, reboot.
- move it to SD, disable it, reboot.
Not sure if this is a bug or limitation of Lollipop. I'm using 5.0.2 on D6653 (build # 23.2.A.1.62).

Apr 17, 2015i won a coke selfie stick. It works by plugging in the jack in your headphone slot. The selfie stick work as expected when plugged in Iphone's headphone jack!however it doesn't work with my xperia z2 as it doesn't seem to recognize button press on the selfie stick. It vibrates and think that i have attached a headset! but i can't do anything else with it.

Jan 31, 2010My mother’s Sony Ericsson K800i died (white screen). She's got some photos on her memory stick (Memory Stick Micro) which she hadn't backed up recently. I read somewhere that someone with a white screen problem was unable to access their memory card using their PC software. So I loaned her my memory card reader and M2 adapter as I figured there'd be no problem with getting her more recent photos off the memory card.
We've tried the memory card reader in two machines: XP and Vista but it comes up with the same message about formatting the card. No way do we want to format the card because we want the data off it. Unfortunately, we don’t know anyone else who has a K800 or any phone which takes the same memory card to borrow so we get the photos off Mum’s memory card. Does anyone know of anything else we could try?
IPhone :: IOS 5.1 / 4s - 3G Toggle Doesn't Stick / Turns Itself Back On After Reboot
Mar 18, 2012I wonder if anyone else has experienced this bug on the 4s with iOS 5.1 ? I have:
Cellula Data > OFF
Enable 3G > OFF
After a device reboot I notice the battery is draining fast and I check in cellular data settings and sure enough 3G has turned itself back on. I have reported this using Apple Feedback but wanted to see if anyone else has uncovered this bug / can reproduce it. I can reproduce it after each and every reboot.

Xperia PLAY :: Virtual Stick No Longer Work After Update?
Oct 14, 2011Have loved this phone been envy of all my friends for ages then I updated it.
The vutual sticks now seems to have stopped working, games don't even register they are there. Also the screen is playing up too, when it screen closes down, no matter how hard I press power button screen hardley ever comes in to life. Sometimes I can swip to unlock and can feel the phone vibrate as if something happaning but screen never comes alive. I now have to remove battery to restart.
I've tried doing a complet re load and took everything back to default but nothing.
I'm getting near the end of my tether, as I don't want to ahve to send my phone off for 2 weeks as I've got no replacement! Stupidly I sold my old phone.
