I've unlocked a Videotron 9700 and tried to put in a Bell and Virgin Sim, with no luck on service. Still gives me SOS (whether 2G or 3G). Rogers SIM works tho. I realize I wouldnt get HSPA service, but thought I'd still get some service?
I recently received a BB Bold 9700 that has been unlocked and I can't seem to get it to connect to the Bell Network. We have a sim card activated and it just wont find the network. Any suggestions as what is wrong or a step that I might have missed?
I jumped ship over at Fido a while back and got myself a free LG GW300 before I left with my Fido Dollars. I've unlocked it successfully and can place a roaming AT&T sim card (3G version) into it and it works perfect. The moment I put a Bell sim card into, I get a no sim present error message. Same thing happens on a Mobilicity sim (although I expected them to remain in EDGE roaming due to the phones radio ability)? why a regular Bell 3G sim card won't work in this phone? Any special additional unlock I need to do maybe?I got two codes for my unlock- a Network Unlock, and a Service Provider unlock. I only had to use the Network code to make the AT&T roaming sim work.
i'm new to this so i appoligize if i have posted this in the wrong place. I have a samsung rugby 2 (sgh-A847m) that was a bell phone I'm trying to setup web and mms. I have APN settings but the problem is There is nowhere to put in the port setting.I had it sending photos at one point even though the phone was telling me the message was not sent but cannot receive any mms.
last month, I inherited an LG-C900B (BELL) as my buddy had upgraded to an HTC TITAN Windows Phone. As I was frustrated with my force closing, stuck on Android 2.2, HTC Desire I decided to give WP a chance.
We unlocked the SIM from my TELUS HTC Desire and everything worked great. MMS, text, data, wifi, etc. Last week, I suddenly lost the ability to receive MMS messages from outside of the TELUS network. After a few days of troubleshooting and working with TELUS support, I'm at a loss.
I've done the following:
1. Reset my phone. 2. Downloaded the LG Network App to setup all my APN, Proxy IP, and MMSC settings automatically. (I did this last month when I was setting up my phone as well). 3. Upgraded my phone to the latest version available 7.10.8773.98.
I've also gained access to the MFG app to check my config.xml and to see what my network profile showed.
Current network profile: TLS_CA_302_220_ENG.xml AlwaysON options: ON Proxy enable options: OFF Auto update options: ON
All of the following values are hard coded into the config.xml file after running the LG Network Setup App for TELUS 302-220.
I have a unlock blackberry 9700 from Tmobile. I am trying to get it to work with my Canadian Bell sim card. However it does not pick up any kind of signal. It shows a red sos signal on the top right hand corner. My phone does pick up wifi signal but no mobile network signals, not even Edge. Please help I am in dire need of a working blackberry while I am in Canada.
with accompanying widgets (all 3 on one page left of home)and accompany bookmarks (all 3 in the browser)I could remove the widgets and bookmarks easily enough, but the applications don't have an uninstall option. This **** pisses me off. How do I get rid of them? What else did Bell do to this phone?
Would I be able to use 3g and UMA on T-mobile's network if I am using an AT&T branded 9700?I am on Tmobile and am thinking of getting an unlocked AT&T 9700 from a friend but I'm not gonna buy it if I can't use it on Tmobile's 3g network and if I can't get UMA.
I have a Bell Blackberry Bold 9700 and I just switch to Rogers! Would it be *better if I flash the rogers firmware on the phone, or leave it with the bell firmware? The rogers one is .351 and the bell one is .423 ...I guess I was wondering if the rogers would be better since i'm on the Rogers network
I have a sim free Bold 9700 (Vendor Code 301) that was bought from The CarPhone Warehouse and I'm on O2 - UK what version should I put in my Bold do I have to use O2's as that's my Carrier or can I use any as it is sim free and not locked to any specific network
I just bought a bold 9700 unlocked from AT&t in the US. But I am actually using it in Costa Rica. The thing is that it is supposed to be on the 3G band, but it is always on the EDGE band. Does anyone have an idea of what should I do to fix this. By the way, I went already to the carrier, but they just have no answer, they said it is a software issue.
a bold 9700 and it is unlocked but orig from rogers. i am using it on fido and i have called them many times in the past 2 days to fix the problem i am having. i stopped using the phone for a few months as i was using an acer liquid phone. now i am back using the bb bold for various reasons and all i seem to be having is problems. the phone works when i am at work no problem but when i am at home all it does is search for a network. fido has tried adding an imei number to my account settings and we reset the phone from my end. this still has not fixed my service loss i have been getting. what settings should i have on the phone to stop this from happening? one of the reasons i had started to use this phone again was the fact that for some reason i had waken up in the am to look at my acer phone and it had told me that i had no service. so i took out the battery and the sim card and put it back in the phone and still i got no service. i put the sim card in the bb and i got the same thing. so i put the sim card into a non smartphone celly that i got and it worked fine now why would this be?
Have MTS SIM. Have BBerry & Data Plan. Have Voice Plan. Phone is Unlocked and used the TCP/IP settings posted online: internet.mts.ru UN:mts PW:mts I'm receiving all signals 3G, EDGE,edge, etc but it will not receive or send emails? on the Service Status it just reads Blackberry Internet Service and BES "Not Connected" How do I fix this and start getting my emails as I have used a few other unlocked BBerry's b4 (Curve, Old School side wheel etc) and never had email/bberry problems.
I have a Orange Blackberry 9700 which I have had unlocked. The phone is unlocked and reads the T-mobile SIM card, however I am having no luck at all with email and data facilities on the Blackberry.I have contacted T-Mobile and they have attemepted to send the service books to me however they are not reaching me. They have been through a whole host of procedures to try and get the problem sorted including doing a security wipe and also restoring the email accounts, I have tried to send the service books to myself through the BIS website as well.
It seems odd that I can not connect to the Blackberry Wireless Network because I my device pin is recognised on the T-Mobile website. I have tried to register the device using Host Routing Table but still no joy.If you have any clue as to why I can not access data services then I would really appreciate some help. I do have my data plan enabled, I know sometimes this can be a reason why people have this problem.

Help anyone? I have a 9700, originally from Telus. The phone was unlocked and I am now in Italy with a local SIM card. Phone and texting work, but I cannot setup email. The emails setup function in the setup routine will do nothing and the service status indicates that I am not setup. What do I need to do to get my emails? Is there an external website to set this up? When I inserted the new SIM card, I did get the SMS that the device is registered on the BB network.
I have an unlocked T-Mobile 9700 that I'm using on Cincinnati Bell Wireless. At certain points I still see T-Mobile screens or software displays - when I first open up the browser, when the phone first reboots, etc.It happens quickly and doesn't really bother me, I was just curious if certain software stuff like that was permanently set into the phone's OS even though it is unlocked and working well on another carrier..(I upgraded to .593 yesterday.)
I acquired in Hong Kong the BB Bold 9700. I was told it is not a locked phone, and that I should be able to use it where I live. Indeed, as a phone, it is not locked, and I can do all phone functionality. However the following functions are not available and I wonder how to fix it: When I try to set email accounts, it only lets me the option to set enterprise server based email accounts; it does not let me the option to set Internet based personal accounts as appear in the manual I am also unable to use the device over WIFI networks; I can register them, connect and set them, but the actual browsing over the connection is not possible.
Is Bell going to charge me if I use BBM aka. Blackberry Messenger while roaming in the USA or overseas? And is there a way to restrict the data roaming and still use BBM?BTW, I am using a Bold 9700 with the 6 GB BIS plan.
So, I just bought a JB'en iphone 3g tonight.Went ahead and unlocked it using ultrasn0w.Connected it to my mac/itunes, and it asks "an iphone has been previously synced with this computer. setup as a new iphone -or- restore the backup of ***"So, since I had purchased apps using my *** phone (actually was an ipod touch that i got rid of), I'm thinking that I should restore the backup so that I can get my paid apps back for free.
Questions: -will restoring this backup to the new unlocked phone restore it to its original locked state (i.e. will i have to re-jailbreak/unlock)? or will it simply restore preferences, etc...? -otherwise, if i call this phone a new name, is there a way to transfer my purchased apps to the new phone's account?
Bell Mobility in Canada is selling the Storm 9530 (unlocked) for $250 with no contract.I have no intention of using it on Bell but I would like to use it when I go to Europe - maybe on T-Mobile in Croatia.Since the Bell Mobility 9530 has SIM capability will I be able to use it in Croatia for all services?Or do I need firmware flashed for European carrier before I start using the device?
I am interested in this phone and it seems that it will work on Bell's new network. I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether or not the radio rom on the ATT phones will work ok in Canada if I add it to my Bell account.
I was just wondering how I can find out what the service code is for my Bell LG Rumour? I have tried googling this question, and in a much older thread on this site, someone said the ESN number was necessary to determine the service code. They offered the service code if the OP sent the ESN via a PM. I was just wondering if someone out there could do that for me...
