Nokia :: 6210 Which Phones Are Compatible With Carkit?
Feb 7, 2010I just bought a Volvo V50 with an installed car kit by the previous owner (presumable around mid 2007 if relevant). As my Nokia 6210 just broke, I'd like to replace it by a phone that best fits with the carkit. THe kit seems to be the CK-7W as is have the remote button as with the CK-7W. The phone holder is the CR56. What confuses me is that there is a fixed (standard) cable connection at the bottom of the phoneholder and also a separate micro USB now hanging just out of the dashboard, near the left side of the phone holder. As if it should be connected to the Nokia phone on the left side. With the kit there is a wired microphone and an external loudspeaker.

May 13, 2010I'm trying to use my phone using a car-kit CK3100. Devices are recognizing each other but the problem is that cannot stay connected more than 5-6 seconds. After connection they are disconnecting and so on. What can be the problem? Did somebody else experience a similar problem?

Jan 6, 2014I have a nokia 1020 which connects to my bluetooth carkit.My contacts and incoming calls work fine.But when I try to make outgoing calls, I can select a contact on my carkit, but to call them, I have to select them on my phone.This happens when the phone is locked (glance screen is on/off).When my phone is unlocked, it works fine. So seems that the lock-screen prevents my carkit from making outgoing calls.Is this some setting in my phone or what am I doing wrong?

Apr 1, 2010I am using the latest 2.1 ovi suite and the other day I went to sync my contacts and ended up having a lot of duplicates on my phone (nokia 5800), I logged into to ovi via the web and saw that all these contacts were duplicated on the website, I was wondering how did this happen?, and also is there anyway I can set it so that when I syc my contacts it updates them from the phone to the web, but it doesn't touch the contacts in the phone??
P.S. is there away to delete all the phone contacts on the ovi web page, I can only see an option to delete them one by one!!

Oct 27, 2010When I have my Aspen connected to my bluetooth carkit, it looses connection after a while. This happens both when in or not in a call. I have searched for some BT timeout settings, but cannot find anything. I had a HTC Snap with the same carkit and never had this problem.

May 19, 2011When using the E5 with the Toyota bluetooth carkit, it fails to deblock itself. Answering calls is not a problem as the E5 auto-deblocks upon receiving a call, but dailing via the carkit does not lift the block. As a result, I must first deblock it manually by entering the deblocking code which only solves the problem for a few minutes. Disabling auto-deblocking is not an option, as it would make the data on the phone vulnerable in case the phone would be lost/stolen. (This is about the code-block and not about the unprotected keypad block.) I have succesfully used HTC's and older Nokia's on the same carkit without this problem arising and my E5 software is up to date. Does anyone know how to arrange an auto-deblock when a bluetooth-paired device is being used like a carkit?

Jun 16, 2010Back again with more probelms, i seem to have taken a step back by installing Ovi maps and now get the error 2148532241 reported when trying to sync.Using vista home edition and the latest version of PC suite.I had problems with Ovi suite so only installed it for the maps then uninstalled to revert back to the PC suite which previously was working sort of ok.I can still access contacts and meesages no problem but no sync - any ideas?as much as i love the phone E72 it's going back if this is an indication of things to come.

Dec 22, 2012ok so i just got a nokia lumia 610, but everytime i try to add a new contact, i add a name and a phone number and as soon as i try to save it, it pairs it up with either facebook or hotmail (by itself), and then it says i cant it as i have choosen not to see contacts from facebook/hotmail, i would happily have my facebook contacts showing but the last thing i want is 300+ people on my phones contacts that i will never phone, or text, also if i try to show contacts from facebook, and then delete the 1's i don't want to see, it doesnt let me press delete so is there a way to connect only some contacts to facebook, so you only see the 1's your going to use and have the number of, or is there a way to delete the contacts you dont want to see from the peoples/contacts? if i cant sort this out i wont be able to use this phone,

Dec 3, 2012I just got my Lumia 920 and I love it, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the contacts list. It has over a thousand people beause it imported all my facebook, skype, google and etc. on there. So when I try to search someone or just push search the entire list of over a thousand people pop up and I dont want to look at a bunch of random facebook friends when in reality I only call about 10 people regularly on that list. I have tried to filter and it just says synching then goes back to the home screen. I have tried filtering and a few other things but it just continously says synching in the top right corner. Oct 11, 2012In sheer frustration to try and separate my phone contact from my windows live contacts, I deleted several contacts from my Windows Phone and this has also subsequently deleted the contacts off MSN Messenger (yes I now know that they are synced).
I then logged onto the Windows Live homepage and was able to undelete the contacts but they are not re-appearing on MSN Messenger. I can see the contacts re-appear on my Windows Phone and on the Manage My Contacts page of Windows Life.

Jan 29, 2011I don't seem to be able to sync my contacts to my Microsoft Outlook (2003) from my N8. It worked fine with the N85. I get an error message from Ovi Suite that neither Calendar nor Contacts could be synced but the Calendar does get updated. Unfortunately not the contacts. When I go to Sync Options and select Outlook for contacts and calendar I get a message from Outlook that it cannot connect to the Exchange Server, but I don't use Exchange server, I use a private e-mail account. I have tried to set up the account again as per the Ovi Suite error message (Error 83860004) but nothing. Of course also restarting Ovi Suite.

Oct 25, 2010Its now the second time that ovi sync online duplicated every contact in my mobile (but not in ovi sync online). it doesnt double the contacts every time it syncs again, but with that problem the phone (C6) becomes unusable because the OS doesnt tell you who is calling (it doesnt relate the numbers to the contacts). its far not the only problem with this buggy mobile (C6), but its an annoying one.. I still have 2 contact entries of every person in my phone - but NOT in ovi sync online!

When I go in to Tools > Options then select Contacts and select Microsoft Outlook, Ovi Suite crashes. There is the first Nokia phone so there has been no other Nokia software installed on this PC before.
Nokia 5230 :: Sync Contacts - To Remove Duplicate Enteries?
Aug 6, 2010I have the latest version of OVI on my PC which I use to SYNC CONTACTS. Problem is it DUPLICATES the contacts on my NOKIA 5230 even if I DELETE all the contacts listed on the PC OVI list. My understanding of SYNCing is that the PC and the NOKIA should have the same information. Either the SYNC is not working or there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed? MY NOKIA is showing over 500 contacts when it should be half. Manual deletions to remove all the duplicates is a long job and the SYNC process always returns it back to over 500.I have set my NIKA to save all contact to the Phone Memory (not the SIM). Any ideas of to avoid and remove the DUPLICATES.
