When I have my Aspen connected to my bluetooth carkit, it looses connection after a while. This happens both when in or not in a call. I have searched for some BT timeout settings, but cannot find anything. I had a HTC Snap with the same carkit and never had this problem.
View 3 RepliesMy Aspen died after the battery finally discharged... now, even after plugging the power in, the phone does not start up... keeps flashing the 'Sony Ericsson" screen every 3 secs! I tried removing the battery and the memory card and putting them back in... nothing seems to be working! Please help!

I am from Gujarat Circle and therefore, the police (I am told) would only monitor my IMEI no. in Gujarat. (my fear is that the mobile would be sent outside of Gujarat and thereby, the culprits would get away with my cell phone!)Any input would be most appreciated.

After connection they are disconnecting and so on. What can be the problem? Did somebody else experience a similar problem?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought the SE Aspen couple of days ago and ran into an email problem. Im located in Finland and using Sonera's network (all bells and whistles installed). The Ready to Run app loaded all settings ok and browsing via exploder is ok. SMS and MMS are also working as they should. But for some reason when im trying to access my gmail IMAP account via Aspens email app I get a sync error -message when in 3g/gprs areas. In wifi the folders + inbox load ok (allthough the folders appear to be empty). In my previous devices i've used ProfiMail (which I think is THE mobile email app if you're using IMAP) and I installed it to Aspen too. Same thing here, in wifi everything works (every folders content in displayed properly) but when out of wifi area > sync error.
I've tried to play with the settings (have also set them manually as service provider's web manual instructs) and I'm pretty sure Sonera's settings are ok, since browsing, SMS and MMS work when in 3g/gprs coverage. access my gmail account via exploder also in 3g/gprs so im able to read incoming mail but because of my work (sales) i rely heavily on the information i have stored in my various gmail folders when on the road > accessing these and manipulating them via browser isnt fun/ possible.Also one other "fault" I have discovered in Aspen is that when using network updated time zone, it suggests that i change my time zone few times in a day (im in +2 zone and Aspen tells me to switch to and from +3 zone every now and then). I never had this problem with my previous (non-SE phones).
I have the aspen for a week now and i think there must be something wrong with the battery. The battery lasts for 36-48 hours only. I talk about 30 minutes per day and i don't use Internet, blue tooth or anything else, i just talk. Is it normal for the battery to last only 36 hours? I have updated the phone from day 1. Should i ask for a battery replacement? If i buy a new battery how many hours should i charge it the first time? Do i have to let the battery discharge before i charge it for the first time?

All attempts to switch off the phone failed so my daughter removed the battery and tried to restart the phone. Without success. The Sony Ericcson logo is shown accomplished with a short vibration. This continues in an endless loop. The only way to stop the phone is to remove the battery again. Pressing the rest button has no effect, the described behaviour continues.

My sony w705 won't connect to my sony vaio m series.I added the w705 as a device.But when I try to send files, it says 'Bluetooth peripheral device' not found.I can send files to other phones, I tried with Nokia.And other laptops can send files to my phone.Only my phone and my laptop won't connect to each other.

They recognize themselves, I can connect and give a password. And next it disappear, as a broken connection or a hidden phone. I try from PC to the spiro cellphone, and also from the spiro to PC, same result. It seems sometimes it find again the connection, but only for 2 or 3 seconds, and next it disappears again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to be able to establish a Bluetooth connection from the Satio to the TomTom (Go 720) once as paired devices with a trusted connection, but the next time I try to connect it does not work. If I delete the TomTom connection from my Bluetooth devices in the Satio, then I can do it once more, putting in the code and authorizing the connection and it works for a while. After the TomTom has been switched off and the connection has been lost, the next time I switch on the TomTom I cannot connect. I never had this problem with my previous phone (Nokia) and the same TomTom device.

When using the E5 with the Toyota bluetooth carkit, it fails to deblock itself. Answering calls is not a problem as the E5 auto-deblocks upon receiving a call, but dailing via the carkit does not lift the block. As a result, I must first deblock it manually by entering the deblocking code which only solves the problem for a few minutes. Disabling auto-deblocking is not an option, as it would make the data on the phone vulnerable in case the phone would be lost/stolen. (This is about the code-block and not about the unprotected keypad block.) I have succesfully used HTC's and older Nokia's on the same carkit without this problem arising and my E5 software is up to date. Does anyone know how to arrange an auto-deblock when a bluetooth-paired device is being used like a carkit?

I have just started using a W980i, phone works fine, it is on the O2 network, when I am in a 2g signal area i can connect to the internet, use google maps etc, but, when i am in a 3G HSDPA area, identified by the 'H' symbol on screen the phone will not connect to internet, i keep getting a 'connection error' come up, I put the same sim card into a Motorola and it worked fine, so it has to be a setting on the Sony phone, (i have also recieved all current software updates, and the connection settings from o2 & sony, direct to the phone)

It used to work fine, but now my computer gives me a "Device has malfunctioned. Please reconnect or replace the device".I have all the proper drivers installed for it but it still doesn't make a difference. I also tried using 3 other cables, and 4 different computers, but it still doesn't work. I think it's a problem with the fast port, and i tried cleaning it with ispropyl alcohol and cotton but it still doesn't work. I even tried using a needle to get some of the residue off the fast port and it still doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have no problem using anything else that requires an Internet connection through Wi-Fi, such as browsing, email and GPS.However, when A-GPS is enabled when using any location service application,the phone will use the mobile network (O2 in my case) to access the server even when connected to a Wi-fi network (my own wireless router).Everything else will use Wi-Fi by default, when connected, but A-GPS seems to be the exception.Has anyone else encountered this problem with the W995 and do you know why? Is it perhaps network related?
