Sony Ericsson :: Aspen - How To Transfer Contacts From Old Phone?
Aug 26, 2010
I am using a P990i from a long time and have recently bought Aspen. Since both run on different software, I am not able to understand how to transfer all contacts from P990i to Aspen. It's extremely critical not to miss any contact.
Two weeks ago I bought a new Sony Ericsson Aspen for my daughter, While unlocking the phone today the phones operating system crashes. All attempts to switch off the phone failed so my daughter removed the battery and tried to restart the phone. Without success. The Sony Ericcson logo is shown accomplished with a short vibration. This continues in an endless loop. The only way to stop the phone is to remove the battery again. Pressing the rest button has no effect, the described behaviour continues.
1.X2/Aspen can't send and receive mobile phone text messages Is there phone menu settings? 2.With WLAN-enabled mobile phone, open the WLAN if the way to access the Internet, then browse the web or other access, GPRS/EDGE/3G network traffic would not be taking it? 3.X2/Aspen how to Android series of mobile phones in the mobile terminal as the temporary closure of access to GPRS and MMS.
My Aspen died after the battery finally discharged... now, even after plugging the power in, the phone does not start up... keeps flashing the 'Sony Ericsson" screen every 3 secs! I tried removing the battery and the memory card and putting them back in... nothing seems to be working! Please help!
My Aspen mobile recently got stolen! Apart from supplying the police with the IMEI number, is there any way that Sony-Ericsson would assist me in tracking my mobile? I am from Gujarat Circle and therefore, the police (I am told) would only monitor my IMEI no. in Gujarat. (my fear is that the mobile would be sent outside of Gujarat and thereby, the culprits would get away with my cell phone!)Any input would be most appreciated.
I tried finding cases to keep my brand new Aspen. But I just came across single case - IDC 34! The other case that I came across was very effeminate and I rejected it? Aren't there good cases (covers/pouches) that are custom made for Aspen?
I bought the SE Aspen couple of days ago and ran into an email problem. Im located in Finland and using Sonera's network (all bells and whistles installed). The Ready to Run app loaded all settings ok and browsing via exploder is ok. SMS and MMS are also working as they should. But for some reason when im trying to access my gmail IMAP account via Aspens email app I get a sync error -message when in 3g/gprs areas. In wifi the folders + inbox load ok (allthough the folders appear to be empty). In my previous devices i've used ProfiMail (which I think is THE mobile email app if you're using IMAP) and I installed it to Aspen too. Same thing here, in wifi everything works (every folders content in displayed properly) but when out of wifi area > sync error. I've tried to play with the settings (have also set them manually as service provider's web manual instructs) and I'm pretty sure Sonera's settings are ok, since browsing, SMS and MMS work when in 3g/gprs coverage. access my gmail account via exploder also in 3g/gprs so im able to read incoming mail but because of my work (sales) i rely heavily on the information i have stored in my various gmail folders when on the road > accessing these and manipulating them via browser isnt fun/ possible. Also one other "fault" I have discovered in Aspen is that when using network updated time zone, it suggests that i change my time zone few times in a day (im in +2 zone and Aspen tells me to switch to and from +3 zone every now and then). I never had this problem with my previous (non-SE phones).
I have the aspen for a week now and i think there must be something wrong with the battery. The battery lasts for 36-48 hours only. I talk about 30 minutes per day and i don't use Internet, blue tooth or anything else, i just talk. Is it normal for the battery to last only 36 hours? I have updated the phone from day 1. Should i ask for a battery replacement? If i buy a new battery how many hours should i charge it the first time? Do i have to let the battery discharge before i charge it for the first time?
I'm just wondering why Skype was pre-installed on my Aspen (one of the main reasons why I purchased this handset) when skype is not compatible with this OS/handset.
When I have my Aspen connected to my bluetooth carkit, it looses connection after a while. This happens both when in or not in a call. I have searched for some BT timeout settings, but cannot find anything. I had a HTC Snap with the same carkit and never had this problem.
I recently bought a nokia n95 (the silver european one) and I have this sony ericsson k510i and I have too many contacts to fit them all on a SIM card so I was wondering is there any alternate way to get the contacts transfered from the SE to the nokia and please note that the k510i does not have a memory card :/
I have old J105 and new Vivaz Pro. I made a full back up of J105 using PC suite and tried to restore it on Vivaz but PC companion said that file format not for this phone. Then I've tried to send all contacts with bluetooth Vivaz received Whole_list.vcf but showed only 1 contact inside. there are about 800 contacts to transfer them manualy.

I am new to this forum and my W995 phone I have taken pictures and videos with it they are excellent quality, but although they transferred to my computer, I can't transfer the videos to a disc.
I just marked and sent all my contacts from my old phone to my new satio via bluetooth, but my Satio kept coming up with messages saying please save to folder and thats it. How can I mark all the contacts sent to save to contacts on Satio.
I have a sony erricson W395 and I have saved the contacts from my old SIM card onto my new phone memory, I put the new SIM card in and I cant find the contacts that are saved on the phone, the contacts list is empty. But if I type in my home number and ring it, it comes up with ringing home. Yet if the contact weren't saved on the phone it would come up with random number ringing and not saying calling home. How to transfer my contacts from my phone memory to my official contacts list/
I just cant figure out how to put my music on my phone through media go. i tried the regular drag and drop but it didn't work. I tried using media go but it comes up with an error # 0x8007001f. And when I try to connect my phone it says it cannot be recognized?
i found out that there's a Conversations folder when i open the memory card of my phone on my PC,but there's nothing inside the folder.I would like to copy my conversations and be able to view it in my PC.can somebody help me?
I can't seem to work out how to transfer pictures to my Sony Vivaz Pro. I've tried right clicking on the Sony Ericsson drive thing and clicking explore, going into the image folder and pasting in pictures but that didn't seem to do anything. Then I tried Media Go and copied pictures into the Vivaz Pro bit but it still didn't seem to pick up any pictures on the phone. Also both of these methods seemed to make photos I'd taken with the camera break so I can't view them on the phone, then when I pressed on the "update media" bit the phone doesn't detect any photos I'd taken on the camera at all, however switching the phone off and back on again and it finds them.
I have bought a Sony Ericsson W395 but cannot transfer music files - or at least I can transfer the files using Windows Media player (connecting via a USB cable and using the 'Mass Storage' option) but although the files appear on Windows Media Player I cannot find them anywhere on my phone! I have the same experience using Windows Explorer. I cannot download the Sony PC suite as it is not compatible with Windows 7.
Is it possible to bring my SMS from my previous mobile "Aino" onto my new "Vivaz pro"? I've already tried a lot! The backup files from the Aino PC Suite are not accepted by the PC Companion which Vivaz Pro uses. (Both dbk file extension). With the "myphoneexplorer" (a tool I found online) I at least got my SMS from my Aino onto my PC, but it wont recognize my Vivaz pro. (I've tried everything possible and searched in various forums how to fix that. Removed the battery for 2 minutes, searched for com1 instead of com3, switched baud rate to 115200. PC companion driver is installed and I tried all different mode when connecting.
I have started using the Tracker application on my w995 for my recording my running session. I save the results on the phone and get a message saying that they have been saved as standard .gpx file on my memory card. My questions are (1) how do I find them on the card, (2) how can I transfer/download them to my MacBook and (3) what software can I read them with on my Mac; will they work with Google Maps for instance?
I want to find out what bluetooth devices my mobile phone have send file to. I have Sony Ericsson K810i. I think someone have send photos and video from my phone to another.
Not sure what to say but I cannot understand why it is taking too long to transfer stuff on my phone w595, the cable is ok but it does not put the ringtones where I can access them for wallpaper. My older phones like W850 really worked faster is this phone W595 slower Any advise would help.
I have been trying to transfer music ripped with Media Go to my W995.The music appears to transfer with full track listing on phone. When I try and play the music on my phone nothing happens.I have no problems transferring photographs. Can anybody help?
