Nokia X6 :: How To Disconnect Wi-fi Which Connected?
Apr 9, 2010
I was tried to disconnect the wlan but after a few seconds, it will reconnect again. May I know how to disconnect it permanently but will reconnect only went I'm surfing the internet?
I have Nokia E71 and I need your help about something. I have connected my mobile phone with my home wireless. However, I do not want to be connected all the time because I realised that my battery is getting low quicker. Do you know if there is something in the setting which stops the automatically connection with my home wireless and give me the chance to connect when I want?
Just got the X6 after having the 5800 for a while. With the 5800 if I entered a wep key for a WLAN it remembered it, and whenever I was in the area of said WLAN I could just click on the connection and go on the internet - with the X6 every single time I disconnect and re-connect it asks for the wep key again!
i had to use the 3 finger hard format on my phone. Everything was working ok after this (recovered ovi store and maps without a problem) untill i saw that the phone stayed conected on wifi. If i would disconnect it would just reconect imediately. same whould happen if i deleted the wifi access point but with 3g internet this time. After i installed a firewall i found out that a program called OMB (ombserver.exe made by nokia) kept connecting to the net. What is this program and why does it connect to the internet ? I blocked it through the firewall and the problem is solved and everything else works ok but haven't had this problem before.
how do i get my N8 to stay disconnected from wlan when i'm at home? Gone through all my settings but it still re-connects when i select disconnect.
My old 5800 you selected disconnect and it did that and stayed off till i wanted to reconnect but the N8 just keeps on re-connecting. Will this eat my battery life if it stays connected ?
When disconnecting an active call, the phone does not disconnect. It stays connected for another 5~ 10 seconds and need to press the disconnect button few times to come out of the call. Has anybody gone through this and is there a solution?
After updating to ANNA, my phone does not disconnect from my cars built in hands free kit. It worked without issue before the update. The phone does not close the connection. The only way to close the connection is to restart the phone, as the bluetooth connection hangs if I try and do it from the connection tab. I have done a hard reset on my phone with no success. I have also tried all the other deleting the connection and re-pairing suggestions out there, with no successful result.
This didn't happen at first, but lately when I take my phone off the charger, it makes a disconnect sound. I don't mind, I just want to be sure my phone is okay.
I've installed Nokia Messaging and configured my e-mail account. Even though I think I set it up properly it just will not disconnect from my WiFi access point - even when the application is turned off and I manually close the internet connection it just keeps on reconnecting. I need an application I can use to check my email once or twice a week, not something that drains the hell out of my (already **bleep**) battery. Is there anything I can do, or should I replace Nokia Messaging with something else?
how do you disconnect a 5230 from the internet when you have finished browsing but want to keep the phone on??? I've resorted to turning it off which is a pain. There must be a simpler way I can't find a disconnect button in the menus I've been looking at. It was simple on my old nokia.
I'm seeing a problem whereby, if the other person hangs up before I do, the call will continue on the handset - on all other phones, as soon as the other person hangs up, the handset then disconnects too.
My wifi stays constantly connected after the microsoft apps update. Running latest belle on n8. Powersave mode is active, and no apps are running. I have rebooted several times, and upon reboot the wifi connects and never disconnects. I have removed any widgets that access data and the problem remains, however those widgets were there prior to the update and wifi worked normally.
Most of the time my screen is locked and apparently when locked Nokia Lumia 710 disconnects the WiFi. Is it possible to change this, because otherwise I don't receive notifications if I have my 3G off.
A day or two after the upgrade to firmware v40 I noticed that the phone doesn't disconnect from my WiFi connection after checking email. Previously WiFi would disconnect after it was done checking email. This happens for more than one WiFi destination (home & work), and I have verified that the connection's advanced settings do show that power saving mode is ON.
I've verified that there are no apps running in the b/g that requires connection, and if I manually disconnect the WiFi connection, then it stays disconnected until the next time the email check runs, at which point it does not disconnect automatically.
Nokia 5800 XpressMusic (NAM, Product Code: 0577454) software v40.2.005, Type RM-428
1. I can't disconnect calls. I generally happens when I'm on back to back calls. The phone becomes unresponsive for about 10~15 seconds before you could do anything with it.
2. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, I hear a sharp noise when phone call overlaps music. Once I disconnect the call, the volume in the headsets remains fixed, you can't reduce or increase the volume. The solution here is to remove the headset from phone and plug them back in. If that doesn't work then re-start the phone!
My iPhone 4s won't connect to my car head unit it comes up connected and then half way thought it comes up as not connected and when I try to connect again it come up as device is out of range even when the phone is right next to it?
I currently have a curve 9300, and my service provider is Telus Mobility. I am connected to wifi and up till about 3 days ago everything was working fine, now it shows I am connected, but I can only get on internet for about 5 mins, I have to shut off all my connections then reconnect them for it to work again.
Having problems with my Xperia Ray connecting to my Jawbone. It shows it connected, and the jawbone even beeps when calls are ended. The problem is all of the phone audio is routed through the phone and not the Bluetooth.
My iPhone is on the Bell network, along with 3 other iPhones in my household. We have WiFi and the phone indicate that they are connected to the WiFi when we are in the house. However, my bill from Bell indicates several instances where the phones (all 4 at different times) are connected to the 3G network for 24+ hours at a time. Additionally, it shows the phone connected twice during that time period (as though there were 2 different sessions at exactly the same time, but with differing amount of data connected)
The explaination that Bell gives me is that there are 'minimized' applications still working on 3G even though the phone says it is on WiFi, and that each of these opens its own 'connection'My understanding of cell technology is that the phone can only access one method of Internet connectivity at a time, and that it can be explained as a 'pipe' or 'straw' carrying connectivity and all of the data. I have never heard of a phone that can access two different types at the same time, nor one that uses separate 'sessions' at the same time of either type of connectivity.
I would assume that I turn on my phone in the morning and I am in my house, it indicates WiFi, so I can browse the web, collect my email and update my Facebook on that 'session' that lasts 4 hours until I leave the house. Now my 3G kicks in and the email that I still have open now collects through the opened 3G session, as well as the page I left open downloading something. When I get to work and enter my WiFi area there, the session would then collect my email through WiFi again, and my download as well.
Been having an issue over the past several weeks with my Torch 980. It's currently running OS6.0 bundle 2647.
About every 3-4 times I use a Bluetooth device and disconnect it from the phone (usually by switching the device off) I am finding that the Torch will not disconnect from the device itself. The blue light continues to pulse, and if I look in the Bluetooth settings, it will still show that it's connected to the device. If I try to then disconnect the device in the Torch's setup, it is unable to complete the disconnection. The Torch is then not able to connect to any other device and the battery drains much quicker I suppose because it's using the bluetooth radio.
I've got 3 main Bluetooth devices I use with the Torch -- a Jabra headset, a RocketFish headset for cycling and a Belkin unit for handsfree in my car. This same behaviour happens with all three devices. It's random in that I can't reliably reproduce it -- generally happens every 3rd to 4th time I use a bluetooth device.
Only way to get it running normally again is to physically pull the battery. Even if I turn the device off and back on again, the blue light continues to blink and it still shows its connected to the device.
Bluetooth will only stay on when I'm in the Bluetooth on/off menu. As soon as I go back to the General menu it disconnects and the icon disappears from top right on the screen. The menu says it's on, but there's no icon and no connection.
For the past week or so, when I am finished with a call, nothing happens when I press "End". The call continues until the call is disconnected by the other person (I presume). This doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be really annoying. I am using iPhone 4s with iOS 5.1.1.
I have just had a Nokia C7 everything is great other than when I connect to the internet via an application such as ovi store, email, facebook etc when I exit the application the phone does not disconnect automatically, I have to manually disconnect via connection settings myself. Sometimes In forget to do this and run up a lot usage.
I Have nokia c7 00 model Whenever I make a voice call, the network seems to to just drops or simply get disconnected,Not a single call complete,Every time call disconnected
My problem is disconnecting my BlueAnt Bluetooth from my blackberry 9330 and connecting the Bluetooth to my blackberry 9350 However, I can't connect it to my 9350 which is my new phone because of the data that has been programmed into it from the 9330.
