if the Homescreen Contacts bar on an X6 16GB (v.12.2.091) can be sorted? Mine's coming up in the order the contacts were added to the bar. I would expect it to sort alphabetical by name or have some way to select a sort order. I can't seem to get it to sort or find any place where this sort order can be selected.
View 4 RepliesI'm kinda Getting Pissed Of With UK carriers ATM, so far 02 is the only one who is made the slightest of efforts, Announcing there tariffs, But People today like me here in the UK have Pre-ordered there iP4, dont know yet how much deposit 02 will charge for the tariffs they want, we should know this already!As for the Other carriers, there has been no official word from anyone yet, not a string, Vodafone seem to peeking out, but common! the iPhone is released in 9 days, and us Uk'ers are sitting here like lemons waiting to know the things we should already know by now, so we can get prepared for the 24th release!

A few months ago, I noticed that anytime I edited one of my contacts on my phone, they were sent to to top of my contact list completely out of order. This has also happened with my music library. When I buy a new song, it is put at the top of my library out of order.

I have my contacts stored in Outlook (sorted by last name). When I sync to my Iphone, the contacts are sorted by first name. I have checked the Settings and show and file are checked as Last, First. What can I do to change this sort?

I have a 5800 that I have been troubleshooting for the past Month. We have been to the provider who has now replaced the phone twice in the past two months. Calling out appears to be fine. However when customizing the phone I am unable to set picture and a ringtone to a contact in the contact list. The Contact is saved on the phone. When the person dials in the picture will display correctly but the ringtone will play a default ring not a custom file as selected. This has heppened on all 3 of the phones. I am down to the OS of the phone which the provider says is up to date.

After finishing the call, the screen goes back to main menu.... but the contacts-app sticks active in the background. In order to close that, i have to long-press the button, switch to contacts, and close. Which is a little bit fussily.....
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wonder if anyone can help me. I am using the nokia 5310 and even though I am using a sim card with all my names stored in it, when I get a call or a text from someone who is in my phonebook it still just shows up as a number.
Also the names are not in order in my phone book.I am using this phone in Canada, and I got it from Ireland so the time on my incoming messages is 5 hours behind.So many issues!!
I broke the screen of my 6280 so used a different phone for a while and now that I've repaired it and put the sim card back in the phone displays the number rather than the name in the text inbox. When I try to add the number to the contact it says it's in use for the contact bla bla. The numbers get displayed in the +44 format and are saved in the domestion 07xx format but I can't overwrite it because it then recognises the number.

After having gone a couple of months withs with Gingerbread without any problems to report I started experiencing a strange thing with incoming calls, texts, emails, etc.For incoming calls, the number displayed is the correct number but the screen pulls an incorrect name from my contacts list and displays a picture (taken from either LinkedIn or Facebook profiles) that is from a third, different contact.So the number is for Contact A and is the actual caller, the name that is displayed is contact B and the photo is contact c.If I go to make an outgoing call, the same thing in the inverse occurs.I choose Contact A and it dials contact A but displays it is calling contact B.This has caused me to have to double & triple check when I am making calls to ensure that it is calling the right contacts.
A similar thing happens for texts, incoming texts display the correct number from which they are originating but display that they are from a different contact name.When I go to send a text and enter a number it indicates that it is sending it to the correct phone number but with a different name assocaited with that number. Finally, something similar is happening in email messaging. If I hit reply, while the actual email address is correct the contact name that it lists is incorrect.
I suppose its not that important and I could work around it by creating groups and giving them a personal ringtone but its messy so is there a way can edit a contact stored on the phone and apply a ringtone for that contact on the E51 and if so how can I do it as when i am editing the contact name there is a plethora of adress and other details but amongst them all I cannot see "ringtone" setting.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently got an E72 instead of an E71. With my E72 I now have problems syncing my contact to the exchange server. Intial sync works fine. Resyncs won't work. I tried to empty my contacts on the exchange server. Do a intial resync. All contacts gone on E72. Create one contact. No sync anymore. In the admin_log I find an error "status from server indicates a server error" and an error code "Mail For Exchange Error -15006".
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some time I cannot create a new contact via Ovi. After clicking the "+ Create contact..." button, the righmost panel titled "(unnamed)" becomes blank. There are no fields to fill, however they appear for a very short period (< 1sec) after clicking the mentioned button. Contacts editing works fine. Reinstallation, repairing, deleting data from "App data" folder didn't help.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust noticed on my N79 that if I have a contact image assigned, and I delete the original image, the image assigned to the contact changes to a small thumbnail version of the original image, similar to that seen on the old N95 when using contact images. In other words, the system appears to still be storing the contact as a tiny S60 3rd FP1-style image, and the full-screen contact images are being read off the memory card at call time. Obviously this isn't ideal. I'll be throwing my contact images into a special folder so I don't delete them again.

Context:I have 2 primary sources of contact information on my blackberry, my personal (gmail contacts) and my work contacts (via google apps). I would like to keep these contact lists separate and apart from one another, but accessible if required. However, as this device is primarily for work, I'd like to not have my personal contacts appearing every time i open the Contacts app. The effect I am trying to achieve is after opening contacts --> click menu --> click "Select Contact List..." --> and choosing one.Is there a way to save this as a preference/default so I don't have to filter each time i open my contact list?
