I've done a back up (choosing "Notes" in the options) of my Nokia N70 with Nokia PC Suit 7 to Upload the phone. After it, I put the back up inside the phone again and everything is right but there ARE NO NOTES.They were really important for me... Is it possible to find my Notes again??
View 6 RepliesWeird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

Because I don't need/use it I want to remove it but every time I do it just installs itself and shows me the welcome wizard of that program. I removed it using the app manager. So does anybody know how to remove this or is it 'impossible'?

PC Suite issues a lot of warnings (item xyz cannot be inserted on the phone's calendar) but these messages are not useful. So I de-installed PC Suite and installed the Ovi Suite, but what is this? I cannot see how to synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?! The menu items says that Microsoft Outlook is supposed to be installed, but sorry, this is not my company's organizer system.So please tell me how to synchronize my company's calendar with my E72 via the OVI suite because this is a crucial feature.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have read the official support page which told me to first make a backup from phone memory to memory card, take out the memory card, and THEN make the firmware update, put the memory card back in, and restore memory from card. I did all this and now all my business notes and all my business contacts are gone. Were they not stored in the 'phone memory'? Or did the website fail to say that notes and contacts will NOT be saved from phone memory to memory card when one performs the backup? And no, I don't use Windows, so I cannot synchronise contacts and notes and calendar. I have always made a backup from phone memory to card. Did I just find out that the people at Nokia are just a couple of mumbling amateurs who tell their clients to 'make a backup of the phone memory to memory card' and then fail to mention that some things are NOT backed up in this process? Suffice to say that I am very, very, extremely angry at Nokia now.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAfter synching my Outlook 2010 x64 calender items to my mobile (Nokia 6300) with Nokia Ovi suite 2.2.0.245, the detail info (notes) on my appointments are gone in outlook. Really sucks, because all connection details of web meetings and so on, are lost.
Secondly, Nokia Ovi suite has no GUI for the calendar like PC Suite did, to see the calendar details. You can sync calendar items, but there is no way to manage them like the contacts/photo's. The sync statistics do not tell what exactly had been updated. Just the object count of updates nothing more.
Following some changes to my Outlook configuration, which included changing the mail profile in use, I am now unable to sync Outlook Notes to my Nokia phone.After running a sync operation, the Ovi GUI shows the sync sucessfully completing but the updates to the notes are not made. Checking the sync application log (PC Suite profile) on the phone (UK Voda E71) via Bluetooth, it does not show any attempt to sync with the phone; The log is not even updated.My hunch is that I need to correct the Outlook folder location that Ovi finds the notes in. Can anybody advise how I might do that?

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe E90 (Firmware upgraded today) does not sync completely with Outlook 2007. I'm missing new agenda-entries and ALL notes.(Notes-sync as well as agn-sync are set to manual and of course I have triggered both syncs several times after updating software)
And I'm also missing a possibility to access the notes on the mobile device - the old E90-Software permitted that, but I'm not seeing how to do that with Ovi?
I just updated to the 500.21.009 firmware on my Nokia E63 and now I am regretting that I made the switch.I think this version of the firmware is not stable at all.
The first question is: How do I remove the annoying Lotus Notes Traveler? Uninstalling it doesn't work. I have read the solution is to use YBrowser, but I don't want to pay for using this software, nor do I want to use an untrusted application on my phone. Let's just say that I am paranoid about such things.
What is the next best solution to remove this? I really can't understand why Nokia is forcing this software on its users. Seriously. Not everyone uses Lotus Notes. And if you want to force it, why not provide an easy way to remove it?
I had updated my Nokia 6350 withthe latest Firmware 13.17. For this, I had to install the Ovi Suite 2.0 (don't know if this matters).
I have been updating mu contacts with Lotus Notes 8.5 and it was working fine. After the update, the mobile phone numbers are not synchronized any more. Instead, the fax numbers are transferred.
Note: After the update, I also receive the following error message in the address book "No settings found. Contact your service provider.". I have no idea if this is related or not.

At the settings I could choose my nsf database an save it. Now I would sync the Notes calender with the PC Suite. Sync is starting and I got the question about the password from the notes nsf and go ahead. Now I got the message, a pop up from PC sync " notes/company/de!!mail/person.nsf, file is missing ". Try again later.'I've reed in this forum that the exact problem was in August-September 2011, which was solved only in early November by manipulating on Ovi Servers.How can I restore my contacts now?
