Sep 3, 2010Weird problem here, my Notes application cannot find the notes I've written, it's like they were auto-deleted. The first time it happened I thought maybe I exited without pressing done, thinking maybe that saves it. But it's happened to me several times. I write a note, press done, exit out of the program. Open up the program and the note is still there, but after a day or 2 it's just completely gone. I'm not even syncing it or anything. This is on a ip4 with 4.02 and no JB.

Sep 12, 2010I downloaded a few apps from the ovi store, after downloading it installed by itself on the phone memory.I want to free up some space by deleting the .sis setup file but can't find them in installation files folder.
Are .sis files deleted automatically after installation from ovi store or they are hidden from the user?

Jan 31, 2010On my Nokia N97 mini the positioning methods are not stored.NO positioning method at all is by default stored in my N97 mini.
Therefore i have to select a positioning method first each time before I can use GPS with the new Ovi Maps.
This is really annoying.Is this a known bug and is there a solution for this?

Apr 4, 2010I had a problem with my laptop, afterwards OVI desktop software kept crashing, it would load and say it needed to update then crash. At this point I could see my first entry in Contacts so i know the information is still on my computer, also i cannot install a new version of OVI.I recently lost my phone and need to retrieve my contacts, so I decided to install OVI onto another laptop, is there a file in my Nokia OVI folders on the old laptop that contains all my contacts that I can move over to the other computer with the working OVI software?

Aug 17, 2010My E71 has died a slow and painful death.Now I've read elsewhere on this forum that the E71 does not support charging via the onboard USB port however:
- My E71 is absolutely dead flat out of battery;
- My E71 is refusing to charge due to some inherant damage to both power charger and charging circuit (because it still won't charge on my Husband's charger);
- I have some very important information stored on the phone memory (not SD card) that I need to access and have no real way of doing so; and
- I have recently done a backup of the phone, but won't allow me to access the file without the phone connected.

Apr 7, 2010Like all users of N97 I have a serious problem with the phone memory (C) being full To correct it, I have been using for quite some time (more than 6 months) the E: memory for messages and emails. However, every now and then, without any reason, I get the message that the phone is unable to use the selected memory (E) and it goes back to C. The problems are multiple:
1. It doesn't let me choose the memory I'd like to use, when this appears, and it does this when a new message comes, which is directly stored in C - no options given.
2. Following this, half the messages are stored in one memory and half in the other and (of course) they cannot be moved from the one to the other.........

Nov 18, 2011trouble retrieving files that were accidentally deleted on the mass memory. I have tried all sorts of file recovery programs but they DO NOT read the mass memory. They can't even see it as a drive on the computer whenever I connect via usb cable. what I can do to get those files back.I wish I saved them to the memory card..

Because I don't need/use it I want to remove it but every time I do it just installs itself and shows me the welcome wizard of that program. I removed it using the app manager. So does anybody know how to remove this or is it 'impossible'?

Mar 16, 2010I bought the Nokia E72 to have a good phone for business and work. Since 1 week my Lotus Notes calendar could not be synchronized any more. PC Suite issues a lot of warnings (item xyz cannot be inserted on the phone's calendar) but these messages are not useful. So I de-installed PC Suite and installed the Ovi Suite, but what is this? I cannot see how to synchronize my Lotus Notes calendar?! The menu items says that Microsoft Outlook is supposed to be installed, but sorry, this is not my company's organizer system.So please tell me how to synchronize my company's calendar with my E72 via the OVI suite because this is a crucial feature.

Aug 8, 2010I have read the official support page which told me to first make a backup from phone memory to memory card, take out the memory card, and THEN make the firmware update, put the memory card back in, and restore memory from card. I did all this and now all my business notes and all my business contacts are gone. Were they not stored in the 'phone memory'? Or did the website fail to say that notes and contacts will NOT be saved from phone memory to memory card when one performs the backup? And no, I don't use Windows, so I cannot synchronise contacts and notes and calendar. I have always made a backup from phone memory to card. Did I just find out that the people at Nokia are just a couple of mumbling amateurs who tell their clients to 'make a backup of the phone memory to memory card' and then fail to mention that some things are NOT backed up in this process? Suffice to say that I am very, very, extremely angry at Nokia now.

Jul 16, 2010After synching my Outlook 2010 x64 calender items to my mobile (Nokia 6300) with Nokia Ovi suite 2.2.0.245, the detail info (notes) on my appointments are gone in outlook. Really sucks, because all connection details of web meetings and so on, are lost.
Secondly, Nokia Ovi suite has no GUI for the calendar like PC Suite did, to see the calendar details. You can sync calendar items, but there is no way to manage them like the contacts/photo's. The sync statistics do not tell what exactly had been updated. Just the object count of updates nothing more.

Apr 14, 2010Following some changes to my Outlook configuration, which included changing the mail profile in use, I am now unable to sync Outlook Notes to my Nokia phone.After running a sync operation, the Ovi GUI shows the sync sucessfully completing but the updates to the notes are not made. Checking the sync application log (PC Suite profile) on the phone (UK Voda E71) via Bluetooth, it does not show any attempt to sync with the phone; The log is not even updated.My hunch is that I need to correct the Outlook folder location that Ovi finds the notes in. Can anybody advise how I might do that?
