i'm using PC Suite v7.1.180.46 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 over a USB cable connection.
When using Content Copier to backup items from my phone, some items are being overlooked. When I restore the backup to my phone after flashing, my mail accounts and personal message folders are not included.
This has only happened since upgrading to Belle firmware. I do not want to use Ovi Suite.
My problem is that I wanto to format my phone memory because theres some major issues with my phone Ofcourse i would like to create a backup with my contacts, messages , everything When i connect my Nokia E5-00 to my laptop using Usb Cable, the nokia pc suite cannot view my messages or my contacts or any calender entries.I tried backing them up, but the problem persists, pc suite cannot back them up, but can backup other items such as notes, gallery files, sttings..i also cannot synchronise my contacts from phone to pc i tried reinstalling the Pc support on my phone, i deleted the sms, contacts and mms ds plugins and reinstalled the support, it installs succesfully , but it wouldnt solve my problemModel: nokia e5-00Software version: 101.003version date: 27-jun-2012?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)

I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.

I checked bluetooth device that im using, and made sure that phone bluetooth is on. In Attachment is shown how PC Suite and Bluetooth react when i try to reconnect the phone.
View 8 Replies View RelatedHave a N900. Got the phone to work against Smart Suite and later Ovis Suite very well for the first 3 weeks. Then the trouble started. I used it both with USB cable and BTooth. First my synchronization with Lotus Notes calendar stopped (have to go by the PC), then contacts and messages. And today it does not even recognize the phone as a compatible phone. In the whole period I have been installing all kind of applications. My suspicion is that the trouble is due to an installation of a particular application - my question is:Anyone that got an idea what might have caused this?? Hope for help without re-intsalling the machine.

I'm relatively new to Nokia having just gotten an e52 a few days ago and I find it a bit confusing to use at times but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to.Anyhow the first thing I wanted to do was to back up my contacts to my PC without having to use PC suite. Is this possible to do, can anyone shed some light on this?I'm also confused with the light sensor.To me it just seems like an adjustment for the display brightness, but I can't be sure.Any help would be much appreciated.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI changed the security code(12345) a while back and forgot it, I went to the local nokia care center to retrieve it and they told me that they'll have to reload the software onto the phone which will pretty much wipe my phone clean of all the data, I have a lot of apps, imp notes and favorites marked on the ovi maps that I can't afford to loose at all and my contacts too, is there any way I can back up all these?

View 10 Replies View RelatedAs I'm editing music files / installing apps to card, I'd like to do regular backups (5800 XPress Music).Can I just copy all the contents of the card over to "Backup" folder on PC harddrive (using phone in "storage" mode) ? If I then moved these over to a new card, would this be transparent to the phone?Or is there some fancy function of Ovi software that is needed to do this ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to move messages from the sent folder to other folders within Mail for Exchange. My company uses Exchange 2007 and sometimes I reply to queries from my N900. However although the N900 does synchronize the sent items folder from Exchange 2007 any outgoing messages are stored in the Sent folder. Therefore any messages I send from the phone are not synchronized back to my desktop Outlook. The only way round this I have found is by bcc'ing myself on all messages which does get quite tedious.
I have tried creating a mobile sent folder in Outlook which then synchronizes to the phone. However when I try moving a message on the phone from the Sent folder to the Mobile sent folder I get an error message "Unable to move to current location."
I've just got the Nokia X6 and am slowly learning its bits, but have managed to drag lots of icons onto the homescreen. Unfortunately, I can't seem to drag them back off.

View 7 Replies View RelatedWith the newer Nokia Messaging versions (like the one included in the most recent E72 fw update) the behavior with POP email accounts is different. When replying to a message or forwarding a message the message does NOT show up in the Sent Items folder of the PHONE. If you send a message (without reply or forward) it DOES show up in the sent items folder of the phone. With the older versions of Nokia Messaging this did work. Extremely annoying for a messaging device. Nokia please FIX this or provide downgrades for.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter reading all this threads about different issues with Nokia, here are my problems with the new Belle:
1st - the backup during installation DID NOT saved setting on my phone so I had to remake them all over again. The explanation I came up with is the new OS etc.
2nd - there is no option to see messaging as in normal view with inbox, Sent items, Delivery reports etc. Everything is shown as in conversation thus I can't personalize my view. Meanwhile there is still option in settings to receive delivery report which I can not see because it is not shown in conversation window. After some time I choose to restore factory settings and get back to Anna. Imagine my surprise when after rebooting the new OS was still on and this is NOT my original software.
3rd there are some other "small" but annoying changes, one of them is the fact I can not switch to battery saving anymore, can not use fast change of profile, if I don't have gadget for clock (and I don't) I need to go through menu in order to change alarm or time.
Basically I want to know is there a way to downgrade to a previous OS or should I bring my phone to the service?

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI used the Nokia (N95_1) four years ago as a phone, so I cannot remember where I stored the itty bitty Rogers SIM card or if I threw it away. Now I have this problem with the Nokia Suite not upgrading firmware without the sim card.I use nokia now mostly as a GPS and a Wi-fi net browsing device, so I would like to get the new map version since the current one (v3.01 09wk44 b01) keeps crashing when synchronizing favs. I downloaded the .sis file from softpedia (v3.03 10wk11 b04) but get certificate errors when trying to install it. Does anybody know where can I get a signed map, latest version for nokia n95, with a fix for the sync crash? (It does get sync'ed but closes every time)
