I recently bought an 5230 and I'm having trouble installing WRT apps on it. I wrote a small HelloWRT app (the one from Nokia Library) using Aptana, I copy it on the microSD card using the supplied data cable. When I try to install using the File Manager, it asks me if I want to install, I choose install, and then nothing happens. My phone's software is up to date. Any clues on what's wrong?
I recently got a new Nokia Nuron and I absolutely love it. But when I began browsing through the Ovi Store and decided to try and download some free apps, I get to the downloading screen but that's as far as I can go; the downloading bar never goes past 0%. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Is it maybe because I have no internet plan? I've tried to make new screen names and looked up online everywhere on this issue but still can't find an answer.
Does anyone know if t-mobile has somehow disabled some apps from being used on this phone - Specifically Vhome. I'm trying to use Vhome, I can get it installed, I can change the options/settings but when I actually "open" it (to replace my homescreen) to use, the app closes. I've tried downloading it from 2 different locations both with the same result...

I have a T-mobile Nokia 5230 (Nuron) and i'm having a hard time getting the music player to play while the phone is connected to PC Suite. *If not with original applications/software, is there a different music player that plays while connected to PC Suite? I do not want to hack my phone & I will just have to suffer if Ovi Suite is my only option.
My LG CU500 (barely) survived a recent near fatal crash (whew!). While I was getting my back up phone ready to be promoted, I discovered that one of my applications is not available for download anymore (actually, a newer version is available, but ATT now charges monthly for it - ouch). Is there a way to back up applications that you have installed on your phone? ATT says you have to find a 3rd party vendor that offers back up service but had no suggestions. I haven't found any for a CU500? I have the software for backing up data (Thank You, LG Australia) but if anybody knows of a way to back up applications and then (re)install them on another phone (preferably for free),
I'm relatively new to Nokia having just gotten an e52 a few days ago and I find it a bit confusing to use at times but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to.Anyhow the first thing I wanted to do was to back up my contacts to my PC without having to use PC suite. Is this possible to do, can anyone shed some light on this?I'm also confused with the light sensor. To me it just seems like an adjustment for the display brightness, but I can't be sure.Any help would be much appreciated.
I changed the security code(12345) a while back and forgot it, I went to the local nokia care center to retrieve it and they told me that they'll have to reload the software onto the phone which will pretty much wipe my phone clean of all the data, I have a lot of apps, imp notes and favorites marked on the ovi maps that I can't afford to loose at all and my contacts too, is there any way I can back up all these?
As I'm editing music files / installing apps to card, I'd like to do regular backups (5800 XPress Music). Can I just copy all the contents of the card over to "Backup" folder on PC harddrive (using phone in "storage" mode) ? If I then moved these over to a new card, would this be transparent to the phone?Or is there some fancy function of Ovi software that is needed to do this ?
i'm using PC Suite v7.1.180.46 on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 over a USB cable connection.
When using Content Copier to backup items from my phone, some items are being overlooked. When I restore the backup to my phone after flashing, my mail accounts and personal message folders are not included.
This has only happened since upgrading to Belle firmware. I do not want to use Ovi Suite.
I have nokia E5, and i was forced to format phone usig *#7370#, memory card was also formated. So the problem is - how can i re-install previously purchased applications in ovi store?I thought it will be easy way, however it doesn't. Despite the fact that all of my previously purchased apps appeared in "My Stuff" section in Ovi Store applications, i cant download it, they only offer me to buy it again, I tried to solve this problem using pc, i wanted to download apps to pc from ovi store website and then move to phone. But all i can do - send a link to phone, and there i was offered to buy app again. It's just shocking omission of Ovi Store, that repels future purchases.
I just reset my N8, and when trying to reinstall all applications through nokia store some of them now cost, and when i download them were free, is there any way to recover, those were themes, i made a backup of the internal memory and c drive, the other missing application is the game galaxy on fire, i cant download it from nokia store because it is not available for my phone (N8 Belle) how can i recover those applications?

With no reason, my nokia n8 (symbian belle) stopped doing things it normally used to.Eg: I downloaded the nokia ovi store from its official web site but when I try to run, it takes a long time until say "retry" A similar situation happens when I want to instal ebbudy, it says connection lost.Applications like social networks or wassup run without problems!
I bought my new Nokia Lumia 800 this weekend and started using it. I have downloaded certain news site applications and found that working on weekend. But then observed that it is opening only when used with WiFi, but does not open in 2G/3G connection. This is new to me. I was an Android user and use to browse the same news site applications with either wifi or 2G/3G. The news site applications are: Times of India and Ibnlive.
I use Nokia N8,the challenge is that the RAM is small such that applications using phone memory thus making the phone slow.Every time i want to delete such applications such as maps,i get this message ''operation failed''I always ensure that the applications are closed before i delete. What could be the best way to end this and create space on my phone.
In my Nokia 5800 memory card had a problem and recentrly I replaced with a new one. Then I wanted to download my previous installed applications from OVI. But the Download button is disabled for those applications. What I guess is OVI checkes the application's installed status in my phone memory. There still may be a log. But actually my applications were installed in to memory card. How can I overcome this problem? I need to install my applications back.
i have a Nokia C2-02 touch&type. Why i can't open some apps after i restore my phone? One of it is the COMMUNITY app. Everytime i want to open it, it says "invalid application. delete?".
