My 5130 XM shows low memory on phone. It only shows 4 mb actual memory is near about 25 mb. I had updated firmware version which I think was 6. Now it is 7. For reliable working I deleted most of my phone ringtone. How I can get back my phone "original nokia factory based setting"?
Today I've bought a Nokia 5130. It's a nice phone, but I couldnt find the screensaver options. As it turned out, the latest firmware disables this and I cannot turn on the clock display for stand by mode (which is a very useful thing). Simple question - when can we expect a new version of firmware which will fix this bug?
I recently purchased a Nokia 5130 from a TMobile store, and since I have started using it, I noticed that whenever I activate keyguard and wait for a little bit, the phone screen turns blank and would not show anything at all (I am used to S40 and S60 phones showing a bar with the time and date, the number of unread messages and missed calls showing everytime they are on standby). However, I also noticed that whenever I unlock the keypad and the backlight shows back up, the bar is actually there before it fades away and returns back to the home screen. Could it be that the screen is actually turning itself off whenever it's on keyguard standby?
My music player and FM radio are not working; when I try to open any media file the screen goes blank and a pop-up says "not enough memory", however, when I use the music keys, media works though without displaying either the music player or fm radio.I'm not using any of the phone memory, and have more than 400 MB free memory on the memory card. What should I do?
I am not using the phone memory for storage. it says it contain 30MB phone memory.i can only use 3.6MB of it. i am not able to access the remaining 26mb or find it. did reset factory condition but it remains the same. help me with this problem.
I'm using a Nokia 5130c-2 v 6.93 and I'm frequently facing a problem is "out of memory error" while using some games or applications. I had got 22 MB free in phone memory and 100 MB in memory card. I don't think any mobile game uses that much memory so what might be the reason??
Second thing is while trying to use some 3rd party application/software when I tries to access Application Access> Data Access> Read User Data> then I'm able to access only 2 options out of 4 available. One is 'Ask every time' and another is 'not allowed'. How I can add that particular application for 'always allowed' or 'ask first time only' access.
i have nokia 5130 xpress music phone. but now a days it is creating problem to me. my phone internal memory is full with data but i had not stored any thing in my phone memory, but it shows full phone memory indication. today i updated my phone software to v 07.95 also but my problem is still persist.
i just want to ask everyone who have updated their N97 firmware to v2.0....should i update mine?currently my phone is v12..should i update it to v2.0?or not?i know that there's kinetic scrolling almost everywhere in v2.0..but not sure if i should update cause i've read some good and bad about that v2.0 on this forum so i'm not sure.
My friend has this mobile Nokia 5130 XpressMusic and its updated to its latest version "V7" but now he has this problem. When he turns on the phone its comes to this Nokia screen and then everything goes blank white and after a few seconds it turns off automatically and he cant use his phone now...
Just updated to new firmware 51.0.006 (RM-356) Nokia 5800 and I dont know whether I am just thinking this but the phone seems faster now in operation (maybe with the firmware update it cleared cahes and whatnot maybe thats all it is) - one of the things that was supposed to be changed in the new firmware is browser changes, but I cannot seem to see any diffrerence the layout still looks the same to me. improved mail for exchange dont affect me because i dont use it, improved video call dont affect me because I dont use that, but they did list improved browser and improved performance so thats good anyway. Anyone else tried the new 51.0.006 (RM-356) yet?
I updated my firmware yesterday and everything seems fine after restoring user data - except for when I hit the Contacts hotkey - it says "Application no longer available - restoring to original key setting." In personalisation it definitely shows Contacts as what it should be opening. Any ideas to fix?
I updated the firmware in my phone to 31.023 and have now noted the following bugs with the MfE client with Exchange 2003:
Initial sync goes ok. After initial sync, "always on" mail times out and stops working. It does not resync 15 minutes later. A manual sync will retrieve mail. After initial sync, contact changes are no longer synced. Further contact syncs fail. If contact sync is disabled, other syncs work ok. I wish I hadn't bothered doing the update!
My phone has the product code 0589649 (printed on the back) and I can't find any information about it. Also there is no updated of the firmware, even if other product codes have it. When I search on the Nokia website I get: "Sorry, there is no software currently available for that product code via the Nokia Software Update tool". I tried the Nokia support, but the answer was just senseless.
I'm using nokia 5800. I updated my firmware from v50 and after it restart my phone is locked i can't open it. The keyguard switch ain't working. WHAT CAN I DO??It always says "Use keyguard switch to unlock screen and keys"

I recently updated to version V500.21.009 my firmware, and from then on my gallery stopped to support any of my existing files, no images, nor music or video files...I am very frustrated, angry and disappointed and of course, I can't change back to older version firmware .I am planning to buy a new Nokia E72, but if the support for my current phone is so bad I might reconsider my plans and go other way, Apple or HTC.
Current: Nokia E71 V500.21.009 Future: Nokia E72 (Maybe)
After updating to new firmware via online. Whenever I type using the qwerty keyboard the letters do not appear in the box. Although they are there i.e. when I go back to message screen then what I have typed is there. Anyone who has same problems along with a solution please.
I've recently updated my firmware version to 05.15, and upon starting Maps (sorry I don't know which version I have currently), I get an error saying "Cannot open application. Get latest version from nokia.com/maps". I've downloaded the appropriate file (selected using the tool on the website), but I cannot install version 3.01 as my phone will not install a .sis file. Is there a .sisx version of Maps which I'm obviously not seeing somewhere? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
After Updating my phone to 50v , Music library wont update. So here's what happened. I updated my cell phone. Phone restarted by itself, after that I turned on music player. I saw message that Looking music and podcast etc. Now this message just stays there forever. SO I restarted again and try to refresh library but no luck. There are tons of song in memory card but they wont load in music player. I got this problem after new firware update.
I just updated new FW, and after each call (income and outcome) the music player start play music. I try format phone and card, reinstall new FW, but I have still the same problem.
I have a problem with my 5800 and need some help.i updated my firmware to v50 and had 2 problem:
1- when i opened the gallery and songs the device gave me the message "searching for music and podcasts" so i waited but the message has been for the last 3 hours.
2- when some one calls me when the device is locked it gives me 2 options to answer and to unlock the phone using the touch screen but however i touch any option nothing happens.
Open the Maps application on N96, then select "Options" -> "My position", the application will show a Red Circle on the Map to indicate the current position, and the position is correct, but when I walk to another street, then select again "Options" -> "My position", found that the Red Circle is still on the previous street. What is the problem? Why Maps can't show "My second position" correctly?
I've installed OVI Maps 3.03 over Maps 3.01. Poor me! Now I have 2.5 Mb left on my C drive. Vs. 16 Mb as of yesterday. Should I add that "application manager - installed apps" does not start anymore?
my nokia 5130 express music just cant detect the memory card.i have tried formatting the memory card, restarting the phone but nothing is working.i have tested the memory card and it is working on other phones.
Hi guys, I'm having problem with my memory card after I updated to version 50 formware. After installating version 50, everthing works file. But After I configure my email, it seems that my memory card's content was reset to defaul. The folders that are only visible are the default folders when you reformat the memory card. But the free space is still the same as the size before the memory card was corrupted. So I'm confident that the files are still there because the size is the same. Is there a way to recover those files?
i have a nokia 5130-c2 xm for about a year and a half but i only used it for about 11 months but the other months it went for repairs 3 times. 1st time it displayed a massage "contact service"(needed a firmware upgrade from version 6.6). 2nd & 3rd time it never wanted to boot like when windows on your pc never loaded. Now the 4th time is near, not even a month has passed since i went to collect my repaired phone. Would you say the device its self is faulty or just the firmware. I never went to sites that could send me viruses or use any other themes(custom) just wanna know if i should request a new phone since i still have 6 months of warranty left.
Ok, I search the web and the forum, but did not find a definite answer on this. I installed X-plore in my N97 today. I had some issues this morning with the phone telling me there were memory issues and showing my 32 gb drive down to just 1.2 mb!!! My phone basically stopped working and I had to restarted about 4 times. I synced the phone and all of the sudden it was fine. (By the way, I installed X-plore after the issue).
Why is X-plore showing drives D and Z? What are those? Is D the ram? Does this mean my N97 is "Ok"?Now, the default file manager shows the following:
C: 16.2 free E: 21.2 gb free F: 7.4 gb free
It does not show the D drive? Can I improve my C drive? I've tried most of the suggestions on this site and others and I only get 16 mb free. I only have Nokia Maps installed and all the applications install on drive E. I don't know what else to do?
I updated the firmware on my X3-02 following to the letter the instructions as supplied on the website and through Ovi PC Suite. Now everytime I switch off my phone any settings I've made are lost. This includes everything from time and date through to shortcuts specified in the "Go To" drop down menu.
Also now I cannot apply any themes, it doesn't know what kind of files are on the handset. Loads of applications have been lost. It no longer supports chat, facebook etc. In other words it's pretty buggered. Luckily it still makes and receives calls and SMS.I made a backup before I did the upgrade, but if I restore the handset from that backup all it gives me is the same problems with all my original files, contacts etc.
And if I try to update the firmware to Version 6 through PC OVI Suite it tells me that there are no updates available and that beingt 5.65 is up to date. Same problem with stand alone OVI software updater. An if I try to update by going through the menu on the handset, I cannot enter details for OVI to make a connection. It's really frustrating to say the least. Any body out there "NOKIA" HINT HINT.It's on Orange UK network PAYG.
