Nokia :: 5130 XMusic / Not Enough Memory
My music player and FM radio are not working; when I try to open any media file the screen goes blank and a pop-up says "not enough memory", however, when I use the music keys, media works though without displaying either the music player or fm radio.I'm not using any of the phone memory, and have more than 400 MB free memory on the memory card.What should I do?

Nokia :: 5130 XMusic / Unboxing Pictures & Review
Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is a new addition to the Nokia music phone lineup. It positions itself in the low-end market and yet comes with all the boxes in the basic spec list checked. Let’s take a closer look to see if it is a music phone for all.You have got the 5130 phone, a battery, a charger, a USB cable, a handsfree set and a user’s guide in the package. The phone is available in red and blue. It gives 5130 a youthful and dynamic outlook which is suitable for a music phone. However, it is a little bigger and heavier than its predecessor 5310 Xpressmusic. You just can’t help but wonder why 5130 takes one step back and embraces a less compact body when it has more or less the same basic features.
The keypad is a standard Nokia one with big, spacious and thumb-friendly tiles. It can never go wrong.5130 has on board what a friendly music phone should have: a 3.5mm jack for your personal favorite earphone and a USB portal for quick and easy transfer of files.You can find the volume rocker and the MicroSD slot on the right side of the phone. You can expand the memory up to 2GB. I would love to have a bigger compatible memory for a wider collection tho.
The dedicated music keys on the right hand side are accompanied by discotheque-ish backlight. It steals the show.The back is specially designed to match the backlight. Very stylish! The camera is a 2MP no-stunner, but you cannot expect too much. The screen is a little disappointing. It’s a 256K-color one while its predecessor 5310 has a 16 million color TFT screen. All in all, Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic is a music phone with good performance. The speaker is powerful. The sound is deafening and clear. There is also a built-in FM radio. If you want a lighter, slimmer and a little more high-tech (only a little morea) music phone, you may consider Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic.

Nokia :: 5130 Xpress Music - Applications Access / Out Of Memory Error
I'm using a Nokia 5130c-2 v 6.93 and I'm frequently facing a problem is "out of memory error" while using some games or applications. I had got 22 MB free in phone memory and 100 MB in memory card. I don't think any mobile game uses that much memory so what might be the reason??
Second thing is while trying to use some 3rd party application/software when I tries to access Application Access> Data Access> Read User Data> then I'm able to access only 2 options out of 4 available. One is 'Ask every time' and another is 'not allowed'. How I can add that particular application for 'always allowed' or 'ask first time only' access.

Nokia :: 5130 Not Able To Surf By WAP
I just bought a 5130 and I think to haveproperly sett it for the WAP connection, since my provider offers free connections to me.The problem - for a newby like me - that I'm not able to surf by WAP. Infact in my options menu I can't see a "WAP connection menu" to start from.The one way to surf the Net I found is by the "Internet menu". From that menu I can surf fine, but it's not free (as I learnt after my credit went down): I think that it makes me surf by "web connection", that is not *free* for me!
I first created manually a "point of access" (as someone adviced to me) with the WAP-data of my provider; but I couldn't find the fields to fill with the home page, the DNS etc.;there I found the way to receive a SMS from mi provider that should have set automatically my phone; but after received it, nothing has changed.

Nokia :: 5130 / No Active Standby
Just bought a 5130 Xpress Music (S40 v5.8 Feature Set 1) and found out that there is no Active Standby.There's no way to activate it anywhere on the phone's menus.Is there any way to get Active Standby to work on a 5130?Is there any kind of software that can be installed?Or maybe in a nearby firmware update?Why has this phone no Active Standby? It's the same operating system as a whole bunch of other Nokias.

Nokia :: 5130 XM / Slower Than 6085
I have a Nokia 6085 of Vodafone Spain, and each time I come into menus, it's fast.Now I have bought a new Nokia 5130 of Orange UK, it comes with the last Firmware upgrade (6.65), but each time I push the menu button, it takes 3 secons to come in. The same happens if you want to exit from some menu. I have changed the theme, and it still happens. I think it may be due to the customization of Orange. I don't know if loading the Nokia Default Firmware it will be corrected. I am a little dissapointed with the speed of this movile.
On the other hand, I can't personalize the background quick links as I had with my 6085, it only has an "orange menu" that it's a vertical array of icons on the left of the screen. I don't like it.I prefer the background menu of my old 6085 (in which you can choise what to see in the screen... p.e. notes, icons, calendar etc.Can anyone help me about this questions?

Nokia :: 5130 - Call Log Back Up
I'd like to keep a record in my PC of all the data in the call log (missed calls, received calls and dialled numbers). As far as I know PC Suite doesn't back up these data. So far I have been doing the task manually, but it is a very tedious and time consuming task. Is there a way to transfer the data in the call log directly to the PC?
Also, I have observed that the list of calls stored in the phone is limited to 20 numbers per list (20 for missed, 20 for received and 20 for dialled) and 5 calls per number. These limits are very low for me. One of my friends calls me 3-4 times a day on average, so I would almost need to make a daily backup if I was to keep all the data. Is there a way to increase these limits?
My Nokia model is 5130, but I think that it doesn't make a difference regarding this query.

Nokia :: 5130 XM - No USB Connection With PC Suite
I'm this close to returning this phone. I keep on connecting the phone to the PC and get this: "Nokia 5130 XpressMusic USB Phone Parent". This service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. This is what I did (in this sequence).
1) installed ovi
2) installed PC Suite
3) uninstalled ovi
4) uninstalled Connectivity Driver
5) installed another version of Connectivity Driver (downloaded separately, and was an older version)
6) uninstalled every trace of ALL Nokia drivers and software
My phone is detected and works fine in multimedia and printing and USB storage device modes. It's just the PC suite mode that's giving me a headache. And also, I restarted my PC after every step that is mentioned above. The driver is 5130c-2.

Nokia :: 5130 XM / Shuts Down Automatically And Restarts
It shuts down while I'm playing my music and restarts. It's really annoying.I tried to restore factory defaults and then restored the back-up I made with the PC Suite.I also tried to format the memory card and restored it's contents as well (can't afford to lose my phone's data.)Then it happened again after a week or two later.It got worst this week when it shut down again and restarted, 2 white lines appeared at the bottom of the screen.I got rid of it, though, when I restarted the phone myself.But it's scaring me, I'm afraid my phone is defective when its only 2 months old.Should I try and do what I did before? Restoring factory defaults and restoring the back-up content? Is that ok?What's the best thing to do? I don't want to lose my contacts, messages & etc. completely as much as possible.

Nokia :: 5130 Xpress Music Pc Connection.
I have a new 5130. My computer doesn't do anything when I connect it. It recognizes other mp3 players but not my phone. I don't know if I have a bad cord or am missing software. I operate my other devices through Rhapsody (realplayer). My phone does not show up on it. Shouldn't something just pop up when I connect my 5130?

Nokia :: 5130 / Phonebook Not Displaying Sender's Name
I have the Nokia 5130 xpressmusic phone. The problem is my contacts are in my phone, and on my sim card for safety. I've selected "use phone memory" and I can see all my contacts. If I dial from the phonebook it says, for example.
But if Dave calls me, I just see a number. Same with text messages. All the texts in my inbox are from +447even though all the names are stored on the phone. I've spent two hours pushing buttons, and have no ideas left.Help!
