Nokia :: 5800 XM Ovi Store App Not Working
Mar 14, 2010i've had my 5800 XM about a month now and the ovi store app has never worked. I have installed the latest phone fw and even re downloaded the app from my nokia a few times now but it still will not work. When i launch the ovi store app, all that happens is the ovi store screen comes up but nothing else happens.

Apr 21, 2010After an update of Ovi Store it doesn't work on my N97? It starts but when trying to accept the terms and log in, always some error? I updated it after hard reset a week ago and no Ovi Store with N97 since then. With my other phones it works. Anyone else has the same problem? Perhaps I should try to hard reset again. I have N900, N97, E75, N95, Samsung Ultra Touch and iPhone, and N97 is the one I carry with me. It has great features that cannot be loaded afterwards if they are missing from a device (like great camera, video calls, fm-transmitter...).

Now when It is opened, it seems to load but somehow it is redirected to another page saying "A new version of ovi store is available, update your application to continue using it".Clicking on the update option download does not start at all. So ovi store application is not working at all.

But after I update my phone to PR1.2, all those Offscreen games and apps are working so laggy. But it was really smooth before I update my phone. Jan 4, 2010I was downloading applications on my phone and during the process it would stop working. I closed out of the Ovi store and now it will not even open. I click on the Ovi store app button and it pops up the symbol(Nokia Ovi) and sits there for eternity. I have reset the phone 3 times and to no avail, it continues. I have uninstalled the application 4-5 times and even tried to download the earlier version. I still can't get into the Ovi store.
I am not sure what happened. I contacted Nokia and they say that my phone doesnt support the Ovi store. My question is HOW was i downloading apps for a week and all of a sudden it just doesnt work. Why would ONE phone not be supported by nokia when clearly on the box, in the instructions, etc., it states that the Ovi store is accessable? I have had this phone for a week and a half and it already has these problems? What kind of smart phone CANT support or download applications, themes, and games.

Sony Ericsson Satio phone (Jailbreaked), which runs exactly the same OS as the Nokia 5800, Symbian S60V5. It is such a pity that I cant find any applications for my SE ANYWHERE, so I've tried numerous versions of the Ovi Store in my phone. One of them started up, but told me "Resource not exist" when I tried clicking something, one of them didn't start at all, and most of them were unable to install.
