Apr 13, 2010I have a nokia N86 still and went back to it today as i dropped X6 tuf cookie for me. Any way when I connect to the net I can get up most pages fine. However, when I need to choose another link on the same page it does not open or reverts back to homescreen.
If I google search something it gets the results but not everytime it will open link, eg today I opened my GSM Arena bookmark that opens fine went to the page after which was the awaited news of nokia releasing 3 phones today, that opens but when I go to open link on that same page it wont open, the phone goes blank or either back to homescreen.
I find the same with OVI and OVI can be horribly slow at times to could this be a factor? Also with yahoo mail the same I get my mail, it opens fine but if I go to open the url on the mail the same happens phone is up to date. As i said I've exhausted every other typical solution there is. Sometimes the message pops up unable to perform operation/packet data not available/forget what the other one is, I have full 3.5g coverage.

Mar 4, 2010i'm using a Nokia 5800 XM with the last firmware. i'm experiencing a problem, since nearly two months from now: when i go in Settings > Connection > Network Destinations and I click on "Internet", it won't open and it remains in the Network Destinations menu. I can open all the other items, but Internet won't open. I can only see that there are 17 destinations (I think most of them are Wi-Fi hotspots I used before).

May 10, 2010In the 'application management' menu on my N97 Mini, I'm unable to open the list of installed apps. The system just returns to the 'application management' page. I've looked around a bit on the internet, and found out that it may be due to the number of installed apps on the phone being too large. I do admit, I'm not really restricting myself with regard to that, but I also think I should not have to be. And of course, there are workarounds, but for some functions, like changing the settings of some applications, the list of installed apps is necessary.Questions:1. Can the problem be resolved? After all, I didn't pump the thing full of Micro-SD memory for nothing.
2. Does Nokia know about this bug? Is it or has it been taken care of?3. What's the limit on the number of installed apps for the application management to function correctly?

May 15, 2011I was using Windows XP Pro 32bit until recently and never had any problems connecting tot he internet with my N8. Recently I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I can still connect to the internet without any problems, but the problem I have is that the internet is "slow", although I have a 3.5G connection.
I have watched the "status" of my connection and I can see that what happens is that some data will come through, and then nothing will happen for a while, and then some data will go through again. So it's a kind of intermittent connection. This is super annoying, and it's hard to google this problem.
I also have a Nokia N82 and that doesn't give me the same problem, but i don't want to swap my simcard each time I want to use the internet.

I haven't had any of the usb problems that people have, but it just insists on connecting to the internet.I set the phone to receive my emails on a whim and mostly for the novelty, and about 5 minutes after closing it, I noticed it was still connected. Jan 9, 2012I am changing networks and installed my new Vectone SIM. I needed to send a TXT to setup the internet. It changed some settings on my phone and gave me the options to make these settings the defaults which I foolishly said YES to.Previously I could connect to the internet via WIFI or 3G (it gave me the option before hand) however now it likes to force me to use the new 3G service (even with my old SIM fitted).I managed to get my old settings back, but they keep changing back when I turn the phone off or leaving the house.I also don't seam to be able to have WIFI and new 3G option menu.
