What is and what does that application. Can I uninstall? I need the phone goes fluid. It is always slow and the only solution given is a 'Hard Reset'. We can not be doing 'Hard reset' every week.

I tried changing the internet settings on my mobile by selecting Unicode (UTF8/UCS2) as default setting and restarted the device. This broadcom chip comes with some hardware support to many audio format, being more specific, flac. This format is very acclaimed by the audiophile community, without saying I'm one of them. flac is a excellent format since it is a lossless format. Now, knowing this, why Nokia don't add flac support to the default music player? the chip itself support it! What do you guys think about it? How can we suggest this to Nokia?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia N8 does not seem to be able to do DTMF. This means no listening to voicemail, no using of call centers which asks to enter numeric options, no joining telephone conferecences with a pin and no remote activation of DTMF based server settings.
it can be done and all I need to do during a call is to select "Options -> Send DTMF -> Enter Manually -> * -> Y", because that is stupid. Entering 5 commands to select a single digit is rediculous. It is like saying that I can sail from Johannesburg to Cape Town because all I need is to dig a canal and then build a ship from matches. This much effort is as good as not having it and is entirely impractical during a call with various options i.e. voicemail or call center options.
I am not getting email notification in my nokia n8, not even notification sound. Every i have to refresh my email account to check for new mails. How can i enable the email notification sound in my n8?
View 3 Replies View RelatedNow this is one wierd problem i am facing since the past 2 days. I m not getting notification for any SMS i recieve on my phone. Usually the phone shows missed calls and text message notification at the bottom of the screen and also icons represting missed calls and message (envelope like icon) on the right hand corner of the screen. however since the past two days i m not receiving the sms notification. I receive it only for missed calls. Also wenever i receive a message, there is no sms tone. so everytime i need to check messages i have to get into the message folder.
To sum it up, when i recieve a missed call, my sreen says one missed call, similar it should 1 message (wen i get a message). However it only shows one missed call and DOES NOT SHOW one message, even if i have actually received a message.
Insted of writing any hate speach i will just request Nokia to spend good time in testing products before releasing in market...silly thing are giving more bad publicity than doing any good for Nokia.Now, can anyone tell me how do i solve this SMS problem... under all profiles, General, Outdoor etc.. the phone does not give any alert (sound or vibrate).I read other blogs, deleted all the SMS, inbox, outbox (also faced problem deleting MMS...deferred)...Even after deleting all messages by select all and delete..the conversation still shows them all...and there is no way to delete them...Bottom line... what needs to be done to get SMS notification..sound/vibrate back in place on N8?

Or I do not notice it at all.It would be even helpful to set the percentage of the capacity, when the notification beeps. Afterwards, I noticed that there has been some discussion (since 2010) around the issue that notifications in respect of birthdays is not possible from the contact list on this handset (that is without paying and installing a third party app to solve the problem.) My question is then: Why does the contact list even allow for input regarding birthdays? Really what is the purpose of this? Does anybody use this in some way? I do not use the phone's calender and it will be a tiresome exersise to update the odd 232 birthdays manually from my contact list to the calander, to get notifications.
