View 8 Replies View RelatedI have two N8 phones. On my first N8, I did the Anna update. I now have two sets of "midnight" themes on this phone, one set that looks like it did before, and one set that has a symbol at the right of the theme name that sort of looks like a coffee cup. For the themes with the "coffee cup" symbol to the right of the theme name, all the theme icons have been modified to something a bit fancier than the original. What does the "coffee cup" symbol mean? My newest N8 was recently updated to Anna. It only has the old-style themes named "midnight color-name". The icons for the themes still look like they did before the Anna update. How can I get this fancier theme icons on my other N8? If it's simply a matter of downloading the new, full and complete Nokia "midnight" themes for the N8 phone with Anna, where do I go to get them? I've searched all over, and found lots of "midnight" themes, but not the ones I'm looking for (which apparently were installed on one of my phones as part of the Anna Update.

After looking around on the internet, I found some good information recommending "Weatherbug" for the N8. Info can be found here:[URL] I tried to downloadn and install the program. I got a message that doing so might also require downloading other software that might be up to 12 megs or so. (I guessed this was QT, which I already have from my installation of Nokia Bubbles.) I downloade the sofware, and got a message that I then had to get the first of two downloads. After the download, the installation failed, and I got a message that I should click on an icon for something like "smart install" to continue.Clicking on "Smart Installer ADM" gets me to "Continuing Installation Weather Bug".I need to connect to the internetI so I click on "connect this time". Eventually my phone downloads the first of two software downloads, and then the installation fails. I have to first update "QT" or something?
View 17 Replies View RelatedI've now been told by Nokia support chat, that I was supposed to 'monitor' the download, and later the installation of upgrades, when I called and explained that my phone is DEAD AS A DOORNAIL, stuck on the Nokia screen, no life, no hard reset, nothing helps. She failed to explain to me how exactly is it that one 'monitors' a download. Watch the bar? Anyway, stay away from the upgrade the system keeps telling you to do. I've had my $500 phone for 13 months and I'm told I have to pay to have it repaired, cause I'm out of warranty. BTW, if any of you have a suggestion, I'm all ears!

For example, Nokia Sleeping Screen. It downloads and the Ovi bar says "installing" then a smaller window appear in the lower section of the screen saying "preparing installation" then "Installing" then after a few seconds "installation Failed. Some apps for example Spotify installs perfectly, but here the bottom window don't appear at all. I have made a full reset, problem remains. I did a 3 finger reset, problem remains.

View 19 Replies View RelatedStarted to prepare for installation of the new Belle for my N8-00 but during step 2 of the installation (back up) a red expression mark appears telling me that "there is not enough space on the computer. Minimum requirement is 1,5GB on the e: drive. Please delete or move 0 MB from \e-enheten" (direct translation from Swedish version of Nokia suite, please see attached pic). I successfully made a back up using the common steps earlier today.The issue is that I don't even have an e-drive on my computer. C: is there (of course) then a whole bunch of network drives from my office network (F: ->X but no e: The only e-drive I have is the one on the phone and there I have enough space available.I have the latest version of Nokia suite btw (3.3.86).

She cannot send emails at all. An error message pops up saying "Unable to complete command" and then exits composition mode when trying to create a new email. I have been in contact with the tech support guys at work who're in charge of the Exchange server, but this user's account is just like everyone else's. We have tried doing the *#7370# trick several times as well as even swapping units - the units work with other users. Just not her. The phones are installed with the latest available firmwares, by the way. What do we do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a new E55 unlocked.I have a problem with it, i am only able to install j2me but cant install any sisx apps.ive tried downloading new ones e.g. from www.fring.com for my OS directly on the phone and also gmaps, stright from the phone browser but all in vain it gives an error "Unable to install" i checked the settings in App manager and set it to all software installation and online check is desabled, tried to install again, no victory, same error. tried to update firmware to this new version from pc, it failed, halted the ongoing update then tried OTA , it succeeded but the version it updated it to is 022.009 and not the latest tried software installation again, got the same error my mind is boggled as to what is going on any ideas guys.Ps: i went into *#0000# and then into options and update still gets the 022.009 version my variant is "asia pacific" region.

I have an iPhone 3 and just got a hand-me-down 4 from my nephew. I've got my AT&T number/account transferred to the iPhone4, and am trying to move everything from the 3 to the 4, and am having a problem getting all the data, apps, etc. backed up to my Mac iTunes so that I can "restore" them to the 4. Some stuff backs up (contacts and text messages, in particular), but none of my purchased apps. I've tried the following steps: Deleted all previous backups and manually started a new backup. This only results in about a two-minute backup, and same result (no purchased apps)Created a new user account and tried a new backup in iTunes. Same result.Erased all settings and data in my new iPhone 4 and tried a "new iPhone" restore from the iPhone 3 backup. Same result. In this case and the other "restores," I'm also getting duplicate contact entries!
Additionally, I went to the AT&T store to try to get the iPhone 3 "unlocked" so that I can pass it down the food chain to a relative who wants to use it on another carier, and found that most folks in AT&T and Apple customer service have yet to "get the memo" on unlocking AT&T iPhones that apparently came out last Friday (4/13!), and can't figure out how to get me the Apple unlock code for the phone. They say, "We're working on it!"

I went into settings and none of my fingerprints show up and when I touch any of the three "USE TOUCH ID FOR:" items (which currently are turned off (no green in the toggle) to try and turn it on for that service it goes to the Touch ID setup screen, but IMMEDIATELY goes to a second screen that says "Failed. Unable to complete Touch ID setup. Please go back and try again."Â
