Nokia :: N97 Touch Screen Freeze When Get Call

My N97 touchscreen sometimes freezes when I get a call. I try to unlock the phone by using the keyguard key [coz the screen is frozen] but nothing happens. I also try the call buttons and they also don't respond.And could Nokia, please, change the setting on the display light after a call in the next update. The screen goes dark after the call that you cannot see the call duration at the end of the call. Its highly annoying!!! [At least to me since I have to monitor my calls since I roam alot]I do have the latest version of the Nokia Software installed on the N97 and everything else is working fine.

Just upgraded to V40 on my 5800. Now when the phone rings I get 2 options on the touch screen:
1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone.
The new version is **bleep**.Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen.This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it.

The phone app freezes on my device, I cannot receive the call. Long clicking on the power button and toggling the Silent option the phone app crashes.Are there others having this issue? I saw a thread about this for Defy (sans plus).If so, has this been fixed with the software update that is available for eg. German users? In Scandinavia Motorola is still not offering any software update My device is running 45.0.1370 Nordic Retail EU.

Recently I updated my Nokia 5800 software V 40.0.005. After updating when any call comes, I can't accept the call through touch screen. First I need unlock using the side bar, then only touch screen works, Earlier I used accept or reject the calls through touch screen without unlocking.

I downloaded it yesterday and tried to use it twice and both times I had to do a factory reset to get things working again. Really a shame as I was looking forward to accessing my Synology diskserver from my phone. Other than that - LOVE the Turbo. have not had any problems with it since I got it last November. Even traded in my wife's second gen Moto-X that seemed to have all kinds of problems for a 2nd Turbo for her. How to get DS File working in Turbo?

My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

I just bought the new Nokia 5233 phone.Whenever the phone is locked and I set a alarm. There is no way i can stop the alaram other than to reset the alarm manually by alarms-> edit.
There will be two touch buttons that apper on the otuch screen. One to stop and other to snooze the alarm. Even If press them, it wont work. The alaram keeps ringing. I even tried clicking on the green button and the menu botton at the bottom. Still no use. I cant even unlock the phone. Only thing i can do is press the red button at the end, which will snooze the alarm. After this, I have to manually change the alarm time.
The same thing happens even with phone calls. I cannot use the touch button that apper on the touch screen. I have to use the green and red button at the bottom.These problem come into picture only if the phone is locked. Otherwise it works fine.

Got this new from Nokia N86 less then a week ago and wasn't texting much - more calling and getting use to Symbian. But the few txts I did do were fine. NOW whenever I text and use the space key, which is inevitable, the screen freezes completely. I have to take the battery out wait and then re-start. Wierdly it's not the first use of the space key that wil freeze it.

I recently updated my Torch 9800 to 6.0 etc. However, now I when I try to place a call by touching on a recent call on the screen, nothing happens. I have already done a soft reset, a hard reset, a factory reset, reinstalled, worked with AT&T, and have not been able to get this function back.

I have a problem with my nokia.everything was alright till yesterday. When is in vertical (the screen) freeze and the pictures seem cracked. When i pass in landscape mode evrything is alright. What problem can it be ?? a firmware problem?? Im also afraid to get the firmware updated because when i updated once my screen became blank and than i have to programm it a thing that caused me 60 euros.

When I call over 3g Data with my iPhone, VoIP apps freeze... I can still talk, but when the call ends, I can't click on anything, every thing is frozen, I can't click end, home button nor power button...After the freeze, my phone restarts itself and everything is back to normal. Also, the app hangs during a call and the phone restarts on it's own... it's really annoying.

I'm a 1st time owner of a brand new 5800, this is my first experience with a touch screen phone and I was wondering since the screen is plastic and I absolutely hate scratches on my phones anywhere but especially on my screen, is there a way to put a screen protector on the screenof the phone and have the touch screen still work, will it be less sensitive or will it work at all?

it's been frozen for 10 days only showing the SE logo and it won't start at all.I tried everything on the PC companion (even the repair phone link) and nothing works; when i click on repair and choose the model and set it on flash mode, it starts downloading.After 30 seconds, the download stops (i see it stopped because the lamps from my modem stop blinking) and after 5 minutes, i get the error saying that there's an internet connection problem.

I'd really appreciate someone's help. I wanted to apply a new clear coat on my phone and after putting on the coat and the battery back in the phone, the touch screen will not work almost at all. There is no selection happening on the interface where I touch and the phone cannot be used.Could someone give me some clue on what might be wrong with the phone?

Couldnt use touch screen at all suddenly today, I reinstalled the latest firmware update but it didnt help so did full reset and now Ive got the countries screen but can only scroll down 3 countries and cannot select any (select and cancel dont work) also the media bar keeps randomly flashing onto the screen. Anyone any idea what's causing this? It hasnt been dropped or anything, first I knew was I couldnt turn off the alarm this morning. I dont know how to go about getting it repaired as it was a competition prize in july 2009 and didnt come with any warranty documents.

I have the 5800 XpressMusic and a few days ago the touch screen stopped working properly.When the phone has been off for an hour or two everything works fine for the first couple of minutes, then it stops recognizing presses/unpresses and holds a lot. For this reason it sounds to me like a software fault but the guy in the local phone shop reckons the screen is pressed in and needs to be physically repaired.Any ideas?

I have had my N900 for about 6 months and I have had the following problem on 3 occasions.The touch screen goes totally haywire. I try to select any link and the screen will jump. the multiple screens will not centre. Sometimes it will go into screen maintenance mode. a lot of the time nothing at all will happen.I noticed it happened most when the battery was almost totally run down so a full charge seemed to do the trick or it would cure itself but today it has happened with half battery life.I tried to flash it but I am unable to even select a mode for the phone to connect to my PC. This obviously means i cant run a reset, i cant back up my files nothing!Has anyone else experienced this problem and what have you done about it? I am at the point where the phone is going back to Nokia for a repair and a letter will accompany it.

The touch screen suddenly stopped working from last night It was still working at 2 am when i went to bed to set an alarm.This morning i wouldnt press anything..I tried hard reset byholding odwn the 3 buttons, and now it askes for choice of language and i cant press anything.I also tried restoring it using Nokia Suite, and nothing has worked. I think it might have been a hardware problems.Right now it is still udner warannty. Is there anothing i can do before i bring it in? I currently live in hurstville (NSW) i dont know how ot use the "find a store" it keeps giving me stores in sydney CBD.

I have purchased Nokia C6-01 in March 2011 and faced a serious problem from 17 Sep 11 that my phone touch screen freez several times when I have received calls or SMS or in apps running. I called for Nokia Support in Careline and also support mail, they assist me to reset the factory settings and reinstall the latest software. I did those tasks but unfortunately the Handset remains in same problem. After that I took it in Nokia Care Center, they took time day long and reinstall the software again claiming that the problem might be in software update, after they returned my set and before I reached my Home the problem again arised.

Nokia this time has let me down especially on this phone. They have proven to have failed these touch screen phones. It is my first time to by a nokia touch screen phone and now the touch screen is not working any more. I tried to update the software to version 6.but no change. I feel robbed by nokia as I wasted my money on this phone. Now I can not unlock the phone, I have to switch off the phone and I cant type or save a number,I cant view missed calls and messages. I have send it to techinicians but all the touch screens they tried did not work It records 3gp video files only not mpeg4?
