I would like to request Foursquare integration into the Ovi Maps application. There is currently no working nativeFoursquare app for Symbian. Nokia would do very well to integrate it cleverly into Maps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Symbian Anna and honestly, it's not as great as it's been made out to be!Now I want to revert to the earlier S3 version and am unable to do so! What can be done to regain the old version of the OS?
I tried a Restore to factory settings from the phone, but it just goes back to factory settings with ANNA, how do I change the OS back to the earlier one?
It seems I can only pinch zoom some sites but not others. For example I can't increase the font size or zoom into yahoo.com, but I could before the Anna update.
And still no automatic resizing on zoomable sites either!
Nokia E63 version 500.21.009/501.21.001 cannot check in or lcate the current location, but eariler verion can do this.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm using Foursquare on a Nokia N8-00.I notice that the built-in GPS is always being used by Foursquare even if it's already connected to the internet anyway. Naturally, this takes up more battery power because 2 connection types are being used at the same time.Now, I know that this can also be changed by unchecking the "integrated GPS" in Positioning, under the Application Settings.What I'd like to know is if there is a way to unable it but only for Foursquare so that I do not need to go to my settings to turn it on every time I want to use my GPS apps such as Garmin Mobile XT or Nokia Maps.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated to symbian Anna today and my OVI store stopped working. So I try to click the icon and my browser opens up and takes me to the site to download the sis file. Once downloaded, the install starts. It gets to a point with a green bar and says : "This could take a few minutes" then it just closes. When I go to the OVI icon in the menu, it does the same thing again: Opens the browser and goes to the page for download..

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhether it was my recent os upgrade to 517 or the new BIS 3.0, but something amazing has happened to my native browser. It went from being frustratingly slow and almost unusable to lightning fast! Its so different I have been thinking of it as a whole new app.I used to use Opera Mini exclusively, and had even gone as far as to "hide" the icon for the bb browser, but that has all changed. I haven't even booted up OM in a couple of days. Has any one else noticed this incredible change? Is it the new BIS or was my it 517 upgrade? Most pages now load in less than 3 seconds!
View 14 Replies View RelatedIt turns that a new version of foursquare is available - running on Qt and requiring Nokia's "smart" installer to install it. However, when the installer gets to "Installing 2 of 6" it fails and gives the message "Installation Failed" followed by "To continue this installation later, select this icon in your application menu".
I have Googled and Googled and haven't managed to find a solution that doesn't require me to install a modified version of Symbian. Nothing else, including uninstalling and reinstalling the installer has worked.
I would be keen to know if we can upgrade C6-00 symbian software to Symbian Belle. If not can there be any upgrades available in the near future.

2. If not, will it be possible to upgrade this device from Symbian^3 to Symbian^4 O.S?
That is, I think, the crucial problem in final production because the Symbian^3 is breaking in the everything except in visual part of UI which is a little bit démodé.As I can see on the Symbian page they are rushing to change this with a lot of changes in this part of O.S.it will be very disappointing to me baying such a device and after half a year faced with a new O.S. (specially UI which is most important for users-the name told us this-UI)
Yesterday i un-installed Facebook application that comes bundled with phone OS. It was not working actually. When i downloaded the new Facebook app from OVI store. It says that application is already installed and if i want to replace with current version. But it can't replace the original files and says Unable to install. How do i completely remove the previous application installation files.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI found some applications, such as foursquare and Dropian, cannot be installed on my E7. Other applications, such as Gravity and Y-Browser, were installed without a problem though. I tried both of Ovi Store on the device itself and Ovi Store on PC, but both failed. I am not sure, but I guess it might be related to a Qt issue because Dropian is a Qt-based application. For your reference, my device firmware is up-to-date.

Either they lack some features (like OPML import or timed updates) or have poor usability. Resco News would be acceptable but it appears to crash a lot on my E72.
