IPhone :: Siri Is Not Identifying When I Arrive Home But Foursquare Does
Mar 16, 2012
siri is not identifying when I arrive home but foursquare does. I checked my address book address and also checked siri has location on. is there a check list of things to check before thinking that siri is just plain broken?
I discovered that Siri will give my home address when the home button is pressed when locked. How can you keep that from happening if it's lost or stolen?
Siri suddenly does not work when I hold down home button. Have iOS 5.1.1; wifi connection; tried turning on/off Siri, rebooting etc. Used to work fine, latest iPhone. The home "Button" works - I can do other things; and the voice-to-text function also works.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Worked fine before 5.1.1 update
Siri was working fine yesterday, but when I tried using it today it just wouldn't work. I've tried switching it on and off and have tried to use it both on locked and unlocked screen.
I want to buy an iPhone 4 tomorrow from a store near where I live (it's not an authorized dealer the iPhone costs $1000 there). Although there is an authorized dealer nearby, the iPhone from there would cost $400 more. However, I am really willing to buy a factory-unlocked iPhone 4 instead of a software-unlocked one, and I am going to check out the unauthorized dealer tomorrow. I am afraid that the salesman would trick me into buying a software-unlocked one without my knowledge. The reason for which I want a factory-unlocked iPhone is so that I wouldn't have to jailbreak it each time I update it and risk getting it locked by mistake in case that there is no available software yet to unlock it. Therefore, I would like to know what are some features that would help me identify a factory-unlocked from a software-unlocked iPhone. For example, what is the default iPhone software that Apple releases with all iPhone 4's (if there is a default software version)? Would the Cydia icon be visible on a software-unlocked iPhone (I'm afraid that it would be hidden in some way)? Also, I would PLEASE like to know some more ways to identify the factory-unlocked from the software-unlocked iPhone without having to restore it.
so my iphone 2g cracked. I tried replacing the glass, but it just cracked a second layer of glass underneath it. I guess that was the touch screen glass? Anyway, they both ended up falling out. Now it just has this final "screen" like thing, which is just a white light. What is this? What parts would I need to repair the iphone, given what I have now?
I am trying to sell my iPhone 2G 3.1.3 and I did all the restore/jailbreak/unlocked on the same using redsn0w.I insert my sim (AT&T) in it, Sim gets identified immediately and works flawlessly. But when I insert other Sim (AT&T) of one of my buyer, it did not identify the sim kept saying "No Sim" on the left and "No SIM card installed" on the lock screen. This other Sim (AT&T) works flawlessly on other phones, including the iPhone 3gs and an old Nokia 6085, so the Sim doesn't really seem to have any issues.Feels like my iPhone 2g has been "Married" to my AT&T Sim and is not ready to divorce it.I spent many hours, doing all the "Settings Resets", restored/rejailbreaked/unlocked many times but situation remains the same. How do I fix this problem so that I could sell my 2g to someone? Please help, I really appreciate all the comments.
I noticed, that lately, when sending i-messages they did not arrive, but later suddenly appeared on whatsapp on the receivers phonê or old messages were loaded.
I have an iMac, two iPads, and a new iPhone 6. I believe that the mail application is set up the same on them all. New emails arrive on the iMac and the iPad at virtually the same time. But the iPhone may not get the message for many minutes.Â
We are talking about a gmail account.Â
Why? Is there something I can change/tweak to fix this?
My iphone has stopped identifying modem firmware and IME number and has stopped identifying my SIM. It keeps on saying searching even if the SIM is inserted. Since I live in Nepal the authorized reseller said that it should be exchanged in the place where there is an apple store . And my 1 year warranty has also not finished. So what should i do now there is no apple store in my country.
why do my pictures that I send via email arrive in sideways mode? what am I doing wrong? or is there some kind of setting that I missed with my new IP4 along the way?
How do I remove a 'wife' from iPhone. I told Siri that my partner was my wife then I married her and changed her contact details and now Siri thinks I have two wives and asks which one when I ask Siri to call or send a message.
Foursquare version 5.5 does not work,i can't check in and send message "error invalid geocordinates 0.0000000, 0.0000000" Can I downgrade to version 5?
I'm using Foursquare on a Nokia N8-00.I notice that the built-in GPS is always being used by Foursquare even if it's already connected to the internet anyway. Naturally, this takes up more battery power because 2 connection types are being used at the same time. Now, I know that this can also be changed by unchecking the "integrated GPS" in Positioning, under the Application Settings. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to unable it but only for Foursquare so that I do not need to go to my settings to turn it on every time I want to use my GPS apps such as Garmin Mobile XT or Nokia Maps.
Hai Purchased a New Nokia E72. But I am not sure whether it is original or fake. The Made written is " Manufactured in China" - Made by Nokia. The dealer guaranteed (by saying only) that it is original. But can you let us know how it can be confimed. Giving the details as given in the back side sticker

I would like to request Foursquare integration into the Ovi Maps application. There is currently no working nativeFoursquare app for Symbian. Nokia would do very well to integrate it cleverly into Maps.
Can anyone identify the apps on the displayed screen? Obviously some I know, like Hermes, Firefox etc, but what's the facebook icon like a beer bottle for instance? I don't recognise the vast majority of them.
Some Numbers are saved in phonebook with country code +923xx and some are saved without country code 03xxWhen some caller calls me, his name is not displayed (identified) but when this caller sends me sms, then his name is displayed ..... and some callers names are displayed during call but not displayed in sms.
If a Particular App or a widget is draining the Battery which I dont know as yet as in who is the culprit, how can I identify which App is causing the problem. Is it Pure Guess Work?
I have problem as some application install on my nokia 5800 (or may be symbian) is connecting to internet without my knowledge. I would like to identify it as it making same unwanted connection which are cost for my. For now I have walk around and enforce my phone to ask for password before each connection but it make using Nokia 5800 a little bit annoying. What is more I have checked task manger and I have no application there so it may be or MFC either some other nokia native application (but it is my supposed only).
I found some applications, such as foursquare and Dropian, cannot be installed on my E7. Other applications, such as Gravity and Y-Browser, were installed without a problem though. I tried both of Ovi Store on the device itself and Ovi Store on PC, but both failed. I am not sure, but I guess it might be related to a Qt issue because Dropian is a Qt-based application. For your reference, my device firmware is up-to-date.
