My GPS stopped working when i updated to version 20.2.019. Whenever i open 'Location' to check my GPS sattelite signals it says waiting for GPS and changes to No connection right away. could it be because my Ovi Maps is expired?

I've didn't change any connection settings and I'm with T-Mobile if that helps.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've a Nokia C3-00 and Sitecom WL-174 Wireless Network ADSL 2+ Modem Router 54g TURBO.
The WiFi/Modem router is working fine with PC but not with my C3-00. I'm sure there is no issue of access protection mechanism ( I switched Off psswd and MAC filter to be sure). My C3-00 see the router and initiate the protocol to get IP address from the router but it fails : "connesione WLAN non riuscita"
I'm quite sure the issue is in a sort of not compatibility between the router DHCP and the mobile because I experienced same issue with Nokia E51 on which I sorted out assigning statip IP address to it.
The issue with Nokia C3-00 is that there is no way to assign static IP Address from menu. I tried to contact Nokia support but no answer . even at the Nokia service in my town (Catania) they don't know how to do it .
A weird thing has started happening on my 5800 in that certain apps seem to have started failing to connect to the internet. If I use the browser then I get the connection choice menu i.e. WAP or WiFi, but certain applications have stopped giving this choice and therefore just sit there doing nothing. The only way I can get them to do anything is by connecting to a WiFi point first via settings then starting the application. This is okay when I'm near a WiFi point but it means cannot use these application properly on the move. The apps that are affected are Gmail, Googlemaps and Forcea Weather.
If anyone has any idea on how to fix this then I would be grateful for your help.
I have my preferred connections setup with my home WLAN as priority, then my cell phone provider (ATT) as the last priority. The connection manager switches from my WLAN to ATT everytime I go out of range of my WLAN fully automatically. So that part is working as designed. The problem is when I get back to my home WLAN the connection manager doesn't automatically drop the EDGE or 3G connection and connect to my WLAN.
To make things worse, even if I kill the EDGE or 3G connection manually, it may or may not pick up my WLAN and start using it. Then, if I can get the WLAN to connect, the connection manager will insist on connecting to the EDGE/3G connection and disconnecting the WLAN. This is crazy behavior. I've been pretty happy with the phone's stability over my old N78, but I hope to Zeus that a Firmware upgrade will be release that fixes this bug. It drives me nuts........................

I have a very annoying problem with my Nokia 5800 XM and the Spotify-app. I updated the app to v. 0.4.3.9 yesterday and it required that I uninstalled the old version first, i.e deleting all my cached tracks. Now today when I'm going to resync (on WLAN, since it's about 500 tracks) it just won't connect. I choose the correct WLAN from the list, but the app continues being blue (not green) and then the list pops up again. I read another discussion about almost the same thing a moment ago, so I tried to go to the menu and check the WLAN connection from its menu. So I did that, and it says my WLAN has full signal strength (I'm right next to the router) but then it loses the connection and asks me again which network I want to use. I have not had any issues with WLAN in any other app, and I have synced tracks with Spotify on my WLAN before, so I have no idea where the problem lies. Maybe something with the update and my WLAN? I don't know...
About the attachments: The list that shows several times and then the WLAN list where I'm connected to my network and it has full strength. "Marsvinsfarmen" is my network.
Newly changed my subscription. I get these messages trying to use ovimaps on my cell:First I get this message: "Connection failed?" and the it goes in a mode "Waiting for GPS?" but after 15 minutes it has still not found GPS signal.In addition I can tell that internet now works 100% perfect but my yahoomail only reach connection 8 out of 10 attempt to get connection. Using mu yahoo email account on the phone I get the message. "Shot down one of the connection".
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy internet was working fine till yesterday but suddenly stopped working. I see a 'H' next to network indicator. The same used to be G/3G earlier. My APN settings are fine. "airtelgprs.com" and have tried restarting my phone but to no effect.
Is there are way around this?
From what I have read online, H stands for 3.5 G...so if in my settings I select "highest connection speed" as 3G, will it work with 'H'?

I am using Nokia E5 from 2 months , till yesterday I was using Internet radio, but suddenly it stop. If I click on internet radio, Its says " no Network connection". I can only use the wifi if i go to settings>connectivity>wlan. If i go straight to internet, it tries to connect to t-mobile internet. This also happens when trying to use applications such as bbc iplayer and the ovi store.
Is there a way of setting the wifi connection as the default connection? If not, is there a way of setting up my applications so they connect using wifi?
I just received my 808 replaced by Nokia for the 3G bug issue. Now I have been noticing that annoying Connection Failed connection unavailable message every few seconds. Turned the positioning methods OFF and the frequency of the error message goes away but it still pops up every few minutes. I did a hard reset, removed the memory card where most of my apps are installed and it still gives me that same error. Ordered a new SIM to see if that makes any difference - none - Still same error message. That message is so annoying. Anyone have any other ideas that I could try ? Privacy mode is OFF also.

So when I finally tried to update to the latest software it turned off and now the red LED light comes on, the Sony start screen shows up and then I get a message saying the update failed.
I've seen that this has happened to a lot of people and it's been fixed with repairing the phone through Sony Bridge for Mac, and I've tried countless times to repair it but the connection procedure (connecting the cable and holding the volume - button) does not work at all.
Mobile data is on and internet settings are all ok, hotspot is working just fine and when i connect my laptop to mobile hotspot internet works fine, the problem is that application on the phone won't connect to internet.

My wifi used to work just fine but hasn't been working very well this past month to now. Any wifi I connect to has no signal in some spots, but high signal in other spots. For example,I have no signal in my bathroom but have strong signal in the bedroom.This doesn't make sense because my bathroom is literally two feet away from the bedroom. And I know there is nothing wrong with my router because I have the same problem at my friends houses too. This problem is really annoying to deal with so if you happen to know how to fix it, please comment below.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn a embedded PC I've configued a hotspot for mobile devices - any device can connect to WiFi it provides and use it to access websites. However one of our customers told us that he can't use it with Blackberry.Only funcionality we need is website access, no need for UMA or any other extra BB-specific features.First problem we had was that BB couldn't associate to hotspot at all. That is fixed now by disabling 'wmm' on hotspot.Problem that stays open is accessing websites. The browser is set to 'hotspot mode' but whenever i enter url in a browser the request times out. The gateway is correct, DNS-server (gateway itself) is correct too, IP address is assigned correct.I dug into it and i can see that most of DNS queries don't reach the hotspot at all. When i try DNS test utility results are the same - most DNS queries don't reach hotspot. I can see BB exchanging ARP 'who has' APR 'is at' packets and thats all.Ping to my hotspot works when i chose 'WiFi -gateway' (however it responds only once after ~1600ms, later requests time-out). When I try to ping it via IP all request time out (however i can see in logs that ping reaches my hotspot and it responds immediately).Hotspot config is atheros (2413) based wifi card in ap mode. Driver is ath5k from 2.6.38 kernel. I use hostapd to create wifi network and dnsmasq as DHCP/DNS server.

I've had my ATRIX 2 about a week now, and the USB Mass Storage option for the USB connection has only actually worked two or three times of all the times I have connected my phone. The Windows Media Sync and Motorola Phone Portal settings usually (but not always) do work. I've tried just about every combination of installing/reinstalling drivers, trying different cables/ports, restarting the computer/phone, etc., but nothing works consistently.I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on my computer, but I'm pretty sure the problem is the phone since no changes on my computer affect the connection.
Totally aside from manually moving files to or from the phone, the Mass Storage option is the only one that works with any of the methods I have to sync my old iPhone playlists to my new phone (Motorola Media Link, Winamp, iTunes agent).Does anyone have any idea why this wouldn't be working consistently for me?
I have been using my wi-fi without any problem for around a year now on my curve. I now have the wi-fi logo appear dimmed but not connected and never seems to connect for the past 2/3 days. The internet connection is fine as is working on my laptop with no problems, through wi-fi!

I recently dropped my phone about 2 feet and the screen cracked a bit in the upper right-hand corner. The phone has been fine for about a week since the incident, no problems at all. Yesterday I noticed there was some slight bugginess with regards to the touchscreen. I turned it off then back on, and it began to be unresponsive entirely, so I put the phone away and ignored it for a minute. I try again and it works just fine. A few minutes later, the same issue happened again, but I had no luck just ignoring it. I am unable to unlock my phone at all. I can still navigate through the power options just fine using the d-pad. I tried connecting it to a computer and to a power source and had no luck with that either. The phone won't charge and won't mount on a computer.
