When receiving a text off someone in my contacts their name does not show just the number (however it does not do this with everyone - just a few). I've searched for duplicates and there are none, all my numbers are saved to phone memory and begin with 07. What is wrong?

I have problem with my Nokia 101. I have contact saved on both SIM cards, but when that contacts call me, the phone does not show contact name nor from one SIM, but only a phone number. I tried to save contact also to phone, but nothing happened.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince a few days, whenever somebody calls me from a number that is in my agenda, it only shows the number, but not the name in the agenda. This is something that has happened since some days ago, as before this did not happen and I did not change any settings in between.
View 3 Replies View Relatedafter I updated my Nokia E6 to the recent software, it doesnt show the callers names when receiving a call and when receiving an sms. I have to save the same number twice, once with international prefix example +963 (thats for my home country) and once without. When receiving calls it show the name only if saved without the prefix (unless its an international call) and when receiving sms it shows the name only when its saved with the international prefix. I didnt have that problem before the update!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just bought a Nokia 5800 handset recently. It seems to me that even though I actually saved a contact's number in my phone, when he messages me the phone inbox only shows his number and not his name, even though I already saved his number under my phonebook.
Is there anyway to solve this such that it'll display his name instead? Its kind of pointless if I have to keep checking back to my phonebook to see who has messaged me, since I don't remember my friend's numbers and stuff.
On a note I saved all of my friend's number without the region number. That is as im living in Singapore, a contact's number would be saved as follows: 91234567 without the region code of +65. Thing is in my inbox all the phone number displayed shows the region code of +65 along with the number, but seriously even my super old phone can recognise that both 91234567 and +6591234567 are of the same person and displays the name correctly in the inbox.
when somebody calls me, phone shows who is calling and everything that it should show ,but when i answer it moves callers name, picture, time and everything that goes with call and it shows on the top of the screen that i have active call but i can not see anything about that call unless i press menu button for multitasking and than change to phone. i had three e71's but i never had this problem. i tried with removing active desktop

View 7 Replies View RelatedHaving problems with the E7 caller ID? Randomly the phone doesn't show the callers name, even if he/she is listed on my phonebook. This is not related to duplicate entries, because it works right after phone restart, but fails randomly. The SMS list is also affected, but not all the time. Few times a have seen a call come in and not show the name of the caller. After I have missed that call, I'll go to the missed calls list and there is the name of the caller?!
View 10 Replies View RelatedI have read about this on this forum and others. I cant find a definitive answer. I have three contacts that are also in my ICE (in case of emergency) contact. They are my wife, my mom, and my parent's house.
When my wife calls I just see her number and her photo on the caller id. - No ICE.
When either my parents home or mom call I get ICE and MOM, but no photo. I have searched through all the ways I listed these contacts and cannot figure out how I got my wife's to "work". I want a way to tell the phone to not display the caller id from ICE.
I have added my facebook account, and clicked the box, to sync contacts.
All contacts are synched, profile pics show up on the contact list but Caller ID photos do not show up during calls.
I called the phone company, and they gave me this code I plug it in call pay money to get the service of Blocking my number when calling someone. I signed up for the service, but when I went to Settings --> Phone --> Show Callers ID, I was not able to turn it OFF, it was blocked to ON. What do I do to make it work, I really don't want to jailbreak my iPhone for this.

When I call people whether it is landline or cellular it shows up private/unkown. my Iphone 3gs is unlocked for T-Mobile I called them and they said it has to be because of Apple, This has never happened before.

I downloaded the latest update for the Blackberry Torch (6.0) and I cannot charge my phone. I have tried to charge via a USB port and several wall outlets. I have removed the battery (following possible solutions found on this forum) - while the phone is on, with it turned off, and while it was plugged into a wall socket. It displays the charging icon for a few moments and then stops charging. Also, my phone does not always show the caller ID of an incoming call. I have edited my contacts list on several occasions to have each contact saved as +11234567 and 1234567. I have reformatted the phone twice since purchasing. I was so excited about this phone when it came out, bought it shortly after release.

So, if I send an email to myself, both the mail (received) and the sent mail show up in the handheld "inbox". I could not find a set up option so that the send mail will not be listed in the inbox. The delete works fine.
My SMS works fine but I want it to sort it to look like BBM. I have seen people that have their SMS inbox show contacts then when you open it, it shows the whole conversation between you and them, more like BBM. How do you change it from the regular way that shows every SMS you have to person by person?

I figure I would have to do this in Options, but when I click on Option while I'm in the Inbox, nothing happens - just goes back to the inbox. I've tried resetting my device, pulling the battery, etc. to no avail.

However, the Mobiso application (which logs calls, texts) shows messages coming in with its text lengths. I asked this to Blackberryhelp on Twitter but it said to contact service provider, but there is nothing wrong with it. The format of the SMS inbox should have something wrong otherwise the Mobiso application should not have logged all messages.

I have this weird problem on my 3GS. This is what happens:
1. Someone calls me from number not in my contacts.
2. I go to my "recents" and click the arrow, and then "create new contact".
3. I type a name (Lyle) and click "save".
4. In "recents" the number now shows up as "Lyle", everything seems ok.
5. In the "contacts app" Lyle does not exist. Therefore also does not sync with mobileme.
If I add a contact in the contact app itself, everything works fine.
I have an iPhone 4s. All software is up to date but the setting to turn Show My Caller ID is greyed out on OFF and can't be changed.
I have contacted my carrier and it is enabled from their end.I have put my SIM in another 4s and the setting works on that phone.
I have done a full restore and reset all settings with no success.

So, I do not know who's calling me... it just say: Joe. But I have in my adrees book a Joe from Vodafone, a Joe from P&G and some other Joe's. On my old phone, when someone rang me, showed eg. Joe from Vodafone.
I had the tour first and since upgrading to .732 since the BOLD has the same software and i now have the bold 9650-verizon. When my phone rings the last callers name will come up first then automatically change to current caller.Has this been happening to anyone?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI added a new gmail address to my phone, before that, I had my work e-mail, a different gmail address and my blackberry e-mail.All e-mails went directly into the main mailbox.They also went into the separate folders for each specific e-mail address. so if I wanted to only look at e-mails from email address #1, I just had to look in that folder.Well it still works for the first 3 e-mail address, but since I added the new gmail account, the e-mails on the new account only go to the main e-mail message folder.So if I go to the separate folder for the new gmail account it shows no e-mails at all.But if I go to the main inbox, any new e-mails to that account are shown there.Does anyone know how to fix this?I have deleted and re-added this account at least 3 times, I have done everything I know and I still cannot get the e-mails to show up in the separate account folder!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy s6 edge. A weird thing is happening to my email. i would like to use conversation mode to display my messages. Initially all good. But when I press on the sent folder (to see the messages I sent), the Inbox goes crazy.
It displays all my sent messages in my inbox! Not just the ones from within a conversation, but all my sent messages... This is extremely strange. did not have that problem with my Samsung Alpha... I am at lost to understand Probably some simple setting I am missing?
My profile picture doesn't show up in the settings menu of Hangouts, Inbox, Gmail or Google Now. This is the case on both my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7 (2013).
