Nokia :: N97 - Delete Error - How To Remove AccuWeather Icon After Re-Installation
Jan 15, 2010I just upgraded my AccuWeather from Ovi Store. The new version was installed, but shortly after I noticed that I have now 2 icons from Accu Weather. The first one doesn't work, the second one is ok. I tried to delete the faulty one, but I always get an Error (File Corrupt), and the icon stays in my Applications folder. How can I delete the faulty one?

Apr 24, 2015I don't know if others are affected by this but Verizon seems to have pre-installed Accu-Weather as my phone's weather source for weather alerts and such. Whenever there's a weather alert I get a scroll across the top of the screen letting me know. I can't find "Accu-Weather" anywhere in the app manager to force close this annoying thing and there seems to be no way to disable this.

Feb 23, 2012I just set up my Photon and I see there is a accuweather app on the screen but it does not show my city, it shows another city. I was able to go in and ad my city to the list bit when I am on the main screen it still shows the other city. I do not see any place to delete this city but I can delete my city if I wanted to. I am thinking that maybe I missed something while I was setting up the phone itself?

Jun 22, 2010I recently downlaoded a bunch of ringtones off of the internet, and I also recently added another email account to my tour. I Assigned different alert tones to the 2 email addresses, sms messages, bbm messages, and facebook alerts. I have found that when I get a message, and the assigned alert tone is activated, as soon as that tone turns off anoter different alert is then activated. I cannot figure out why or how to prevent this from happening.

Jun 26, 2010This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.

May 15, 2010When I first got my X6 I had my message alert set to vibrate and when i received a text message the screen would do so as well as displaying a '1 new message' alert in the bottom bit of the screen. Recently my phone has stopped doing this and the only way I can see I have a new message is by touching the messaging icon and seeing the red asterisk that appears at the top right of the inbox when there is an unread message in there.

It is set to play a sound (message 1), and i've had it for months it used to beep normally but now it doesn't anymore. and the phone is not on silent. It doesn't show the new message icon either. Feb 29, 2012Steps to recreate the defect.
1. Lock the phone.
2. Send a text message to your number (Nokia N8).
3. When the text message is recieved the screen of the N8 displays the work "popUpClock" in the top left corner and the "time, Battery, and signal" icons on the right top corner.
4. The above message disappears in a split second and the screen remains blank for almost 2-3 mins before shutting off again.The best way to check the duration of the blank screen displayed is to keep the phone in dark.This bug could be one of the reasons for the battery draining for some users who recieve loads of text messages in a day.
Nokia :: Active Divert Alert When Calling
Mar 31, 2010Today I played with speed dialing and accidently set my own number as the mailbox number(assigned speed dialing No. 1) and I can't seem to find any way to correct this(to chnage the assigned number). Can anybody suggest to me how to change the assigned speed dialing number For specifically No 1?And I also noticed something strange that everytime I call anybody on my list after dialling window message it is always followed with Active divert alert message window.I never noticed this before.how do I get rid of this annoying divert alert message eevrytime I call anybody else when there's no diverting that took place.Salvation entails eternal power which will make every tyrant weep.

Very nice phone. took some time to get the messaging to work.But still I only receive the new e-mail sound, but no new e-mail icon is shown.Also I noticed that when I use the messaging screen will my phone is closed the icon's on top (like the sync icon) is not shown. When I open my phone(pull out the keyboard) the icons are shown.Does anybody has the same problem or know how to solve it?
