Received a 2nd hand phone and thought it might be a good idea to update the software.not really a good choice. Lost the applications like skype and fring.thats ok but when i go to install them again they download but dont install.Just get to download complete the ask if i want to install and go straight back to the download complet message.Is there any way to clear memory of last install properly. without clearing phone completely?

If I get a notification and don't check my phone before it disappears then I have no way of knowing what notification I got (short of scanning my homepage, which doesn't help for apps I don't have pinned, as the icons on the app list don't show notification indicators).Alternatively I'd accept being able to disable the timeout on the notification so it doesn't disappear and stacks with other notification on the lock screen.As a last resort being able to make notifications like old school popups would do. Are any of these an option on the Lumia 820? I'm guessing no, as I'm slowly finding that it's the worlds most inflexible phone (are Nokia after iPhone's crown in this area?)

Does anyone know how to delete communication history on the n900? It's useful to a point but if it records all history from day 1 and doesn't allow you to clear it, then it's just old information and a potential disk space chewer (even if it's minimal)

View 1 Replies View RelatedWith the trial I had with 3.0.1 I was able to use Maps and it's history. When I clicked to travel by car, set destination, I was able to select 'History' there. The strange thing is, since I upgrade to 3.0.3 / FW40 (latest free version) the 'History' option was gone. Only Search and From maps are still available. I did a lot of navigation since the installation but the 'History' button did not came back. At first I thought it was something with the software but I did a Hard-Reset (Camera+Green+Red) and did an update using SW-update. Still the same. I formatted my microSD card just before I did the reset just to make sure it wasn't the data on the card. I also downloaded the Europe maps for offline instalation but this does not resolve the issue. Any ideas? I could not find an answer on the internet. History accessible after upgrade from FW v31 to v40. Why is it gone on my Nokia 5800 Express Music (FW 40.005)?

When accessing ovi music throught Nokia Music Player then accessing Download History I can only download albuns that do not need to be full downloaded, that is, some of them needs to be fully downloaded and other not, besides that problem when I click download to get an album I have to refresh the page as it wont allow me to download again, it seems to have many bugs, bugs that did not exist when downloading the album not from the history.
