Mar 25, 2010AI have a router, I have a nokia usb cable. and I have ovi suite. However it wont transfer music files unless I have a memory card inserted, I dont know what to do. I installed ovi files and transfered my custom ringtone that way and it worked but I'm looking for something simpler. Like actually navigating the phones folders and transfering it that way, be it any file, txt doc img, jpg mp3 mp4 ect. I tried using connect as "mass storage device" and connect as "media transfer" neither option works for me. I am running windows 7 professional 64 bit. The only way I was able to get my custom ringtone on the phone was installing and signing up for ovi files. I would like to use my usb cable or router exclusively in the future.

Apr 26, 2010i realy your help in this one, now i live in Lebanon, and i'm searching for a n900, but the other day my freind told that you can't check for your balance in your phone operartor, is that true, were i live, you need to recharge your phone in before you make phone calls, send messages etc, and to see how much dollars(or what ever its called) you still have in what you have recharged, you need to press *11# and than the green button, and than a message shows up showing you your phone operator balance, is it true that that can't be done on the n900? i like it how i can overclock the n900 from 600 mhz to 1000 mhz in less than 30 sec.

Aug 19, 2010I have a WinXP pro at home which mainly for entertainments(music, movies)and i have a notebook using Win 7 Home Premium which mainly for works (email, images, PDF, documents)What my need is, i want to setup my iPhone 4 that will only download the data from WinXP (when i connect them by USB) and when i connect by USB to my Win7 it will only download emails (outlook)
because i heard that it will sync everything to same, so my WinXP will also have my Win7 email while Win7 has all the mp3 and movies. This I must avoid.So is iTune doing all the jobs necessary?

Apr 11, 2010I will be getting a replacement Storm 2 in the mail on Wednesday(VZW store was out and had to order one). I have a problem with the headphone jack thinking there are headphones in it when they are not sometimes.I was wondering what I need to do leading up to and once I get my replacement? I have used the Desktop Manager Backup program to backup my files. That should take care of my calender, memo, contacts, SMS and any files and stuff on my device....but what about apps. That is what I'm unsure about. How well do those transfer since they have licenses/registration codes?I have bought DynoStorm, Fingerprint Scanner, PatternLock, WeatherBug Elite from App World. From what I have read all I need to do is start App World on my new device and those apps will load on the new device from App World without a problem? Is this true?I have bought BerryBuzz, Call Blocker Pro, Meter Berry, Mileage Meter, QuickLaunch and SmrtGuard(1 Year Subscription) from MobiHand. From what it looks like I can use the Change Device ID and it will generate new codes for me on my new device? Is this all I have to do? Can anybody verify this or tell me what I do need to do for these apps?I have other free apps but those I can just download again.The last thing I'm curious how it will transfer or if it will be a problem is my one theme I have bough Halycon from Elecite. How do I get that loaded onto my new device?If there is anything I'm forgetting to do with backups or apps or anything else I should do before or when I have the replacement let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sep 4, 2010So I had an older Curve, and now I have a brand new Curve 3g. The older phone has malfunctioned, and I can't use the keypad, but it still recongizes the software when plugged in, and i can charge it - this is why the data couldn't be transfered from my old phone to the new one at the Verizon store. So, I want all the contacts, my to-do lists/memopads, etc transfered into the new phone using Blackberry Manager on my PC (Vista). So i selected the 'Device Transfer Wizard" from the main menu, and followed instructions - i get an error message that tells me, basically, I "need to remove some applications from my existing device because there is not enough space on the new device to accomodate them:" I don't get this - the new phone has 256mb memory compared to 32mb in the old phone, and I don't even have apps on there except facebook (I tried to delete my apps on the old phone and all it showed me as having was Facebook.So, I tried un-checking various boxes on the screen that asks what i want to transfer, and even with them all un-checked it still tells me there is not enough room to transfer.Am I doing this wrong? i just want my contacts and to-do lists transfered to the new phone - I don't know what this thing about the "applications" and such is about but I just want my data transfered.I will say that the Blackberry Manager application that I have is very slow, non-intuitive, and generally a huge pain in the **bleep** to work with - I would think that a slick tech company like Blackberry would have a far better program than this "Blackberry Manager".. I am impressed with the Blackberry phones but dread using that Blackberry Manager every time I need to (such as when putting anew ringtone on my phone).

It shows only one picture this month but they are still existing on phone memory. Looks like the library information are corrupted. Anybody having an idea how to restore? Jul 16, 2010Whenever i receive MMS the photo is tiny, it seems like the phone automatically resizes the image to thumbnail. I can zoom in the photo however it is all pixalated and ugly. This has been so much of a problem that I am thinking of going back to my old N95.

May 17, 2010I have a Nokia N95 and it's been great. But it looks like I've been useing it for target practice so I was planning on buying the N97 or N900? But I heard Nokia has had problems withe the lennex operating system. I was told to hold off that Nokia has a totally new phone that will be introduced mid summer 2010 with a new operating system that will put Nokia back on top over iphone ect ect.

Jan 4, 2010I must buy a new phone and I wanted to take a N900, but after I read this topic with all the problems, I am affraid that N900 is too buggy for me. I need a phone with a good battery (I am traveling a lot of time), I need connectivity, but also multimedia (video and music), but must of all I need a very good organizer. I can not afford a phone with so much problems and I don't have time to debug it!
So, I have to choose from these models: N900, N97, N97 mini, E72, BB 9700 Bold and IP 3GS. I know that you are not fans of BB and IP, but because I am a lot in the airplane, I need the multimedia and entertainment from 3GS and the office from BB.

Jun 4, 2010I just got an n900 and very disappointed .I can't download music to it via the PC suite I have downloaded some small apps and themes to my PC that I can't install through the application installer- it says that there is no memory left to install a tiny app when i have 20+GB available
Im used to my N95 doing it no problemthe whole phone seems unfinished - a half assed job and im reading posts from people with the same issues saying "nokia is going to bring out a PC suite for the n900 that will work" and "OVI will be working soon" that date back to February
I also fully charged it overnight its been on for 4 hours and the battery is nearly flat and I have only plugged in the mini USB thingo 3 times and the input socket is really loose.No EQ on the music player?? and no ability to edit the track names/artists in the menu.The N95 not only had EQ but stereo widening and other cool features - What a step down.i can't believe it - it almost 100% useless
