Nokia Music :: It Doesn't Have An Equalizer And Volume Control Setting Of Its Own
Jan 4, 2013
Nokia Music doesn't have a equalizer and volume control setting of its own.May be in some of the Game apps they have their own music control and volume control like the Snowball Assault control for Lumia 920.So why can't Nokia Music have its own Equalizer and Volume control?
Why is Windows Phone having version 7.5 if it still can't set different volumes for music and notifications... When I listen to radio the volume setting of 1 is often loud enough, if I then put it in my pocket I mis all calls as it is not loud enough. If I set it back at level 25 I get woken up at night for incoming mails... BTW, why can't I even define (off-)peak synchronisation intervals for my mails?
Is it possible that on the next firmware update, the volume control for the music and ring/message tone is separated?
Like when you're listening to music, when you press the volume rocker, it will set the volume just for the music and not the current volume setting of the message/ring tone?
When you are playing a song on the factory installed Google Play Music app or any other app with an equalizer or when using a separate equalizer and you increase any of the bands in the equalizer, the overall volume of the song drops.
To easily reproduce the problem, start playing a song on the Google Play Music app, go to settings, select equalizer, select advanced. Set the equalizer bands to flat (in the middle settings for all bands). While a song is playing, raise any equalizer band and the overall volume of the song goes down dramatically, like by half. This is especially noticeable as you increase the 16k slider. This is not how equalizers should work. A working equalizer should amplify the band you increased but leave the volume on all other bands the same and thus not lower the overall volume of the song. This is happening with all equalizer apps I've installed (besides the stock Music FX and SoundAlive equalizers) and I've seen the exact thing happen with three other equalizer apps on this phone, so it seems like a specific Samsung Galaxy S5 problem.
Currently I'm running rooted stock Android 6.0. New Apple Music app doesn't have in-built equalizer option, but I need it for my headphones. So what are my best options?
I cant use the volumecontrol on my IPhone 4S. Its just a few weeks old, it worked earlier, the notificationsounds works, the ringsignal works. But there is no sound when i liste to music, film, games. There are no control for volume on the screen either....I have restardet the phone from star
I am a bit disappointed with the N900's volume loudness controls, the audio player doesn't have an "Equalizer" either. Is there any Maemo software apps for increasing volume loudness? I just purchased my N900 yesterday & is new to Maemo Devices, I hope you don't mind if I repeated the same questions previously posted, best regards.
I have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.
i've noticed that OVI Player deos not allow to download music when I am inside the firewall or under a corporate proxy. ANy idea if this is a restriction from Nokia Player or is it specific to my connection?
Any app compatible with the s6 that will allow me to long press the up and down vol buttons to skip to next track/prev track, especially when the screen is off?
When using the Google Music Beta, is there a more elegant solution for adjusting volume other than fumbling with the up/down volume buttons on the side? Most music players appear to have some sort of volume slider on the screen. but other than play/pause/skip virtual buttons, I see no inherent volume control on the player.
I just downloades some MP3 files on my BB. I only can control the music (stop, pause or mute it), while I am in the music interface ('now playing' mode). When I go to an other interface or home screen, i cannot control the audio with the buttons anymore.
I just bought Nokia 5230, I have problem setting up the phone for web access and MMS. There's supposed to be a APN Control setting in Connectivity->Admin Settings->APN Control, I just don't have this setting.
I wish Sony Mobile would revert from their stance of not offering the global equalizer setting by default to all apps. Before Lollipop landed the Clear Audio + setting applied to all apps including YouTube, Walkman, Radio Tunes etc. However, after lollipop landed this setting has been moved to an exclusive setting that App developers have to specifically code for. This situation is not acceptable as if they enabled global support for the EQ then if one simply wishes to turn the EQ off they can do so in the sound settings. Now accept for a few music apps you have no option to use Sony Clear Audio + sound enhancements which is sad. The phones output volume is not that loud which makes this EQ settings important to give that extra punch in the music. To me this decision is a deal breaker as Samsung and Microsoft have the global EQ enabled. Sony's decision makes no sense to me and it ruins what would otherwise be the complete experience on the Z2.I am considering a Lumia currently but would like to stick with my Z2 if there is hope of resolving this issue soon.
Can anyone tell me how to reduce volume when playing Bounce in games? This phone does not have a volume rocker and I can't see how to turn the sound down when I am in Bounce. It's very loud. The only thing I've been able to do is to set the phone to silent. Surely there is a way to adjust the volume when in games?
I have a strange problem with my nokia. when i hide music player i don't have the control panel for music (this one selected on pic) how can i bring it back? becouse is so uncomfortable
When I connect my 808, N8 or C6-01 (all running Belle) to a Play 360 speaker have noticed an inconsistency in the volume control function.Firstly let me make this easier to explain by pretending that the Belle devices all have 10 volume levels and the Play 360 speaker has 10 volume levels.Secondly I will explain how I expect the volume controls to work and indeed how it does work on my N95 and N97 (yes I've been very thorough with my testing!):When I set my phone (N95 or N97) volume to any number from 1 to 10 the speaker plays at exactly that volume level. If I increase or decrease the volume level on my phone (N95 or N97) then the volume level on the Play 360 speaker increases or decreses to match the phone's level.
When I adjust the volume level using the +/- buttons on the Play 360 speaker the phone (N95 or N97) volume level adjusts to match the change. So, no matter how I change the volume the phone and speaker are always in sync, e.g. 1=1, 2=2, 5=5, 10=10.Now we're getting to the problem...On my Belle devices, 808, N8 and C6-01 the volume levels only sync with the Play 360 when music is not playing. As soon as I play music the levels become independant of one another. For example: While the music is paused I can press the - button on the Play 360 to reduce the volume to level 1. I also do the same on my 808. So now both devices are at level 1. Remember, the music is currently paused. If I increase the volume on the Play 360 I see on the 808 screen that the volume increases there too.Same for decreasing volume too, both stay in sync as long as music is paused.
However, when I start the music playing and press +/- on the Play 360, although the ambient volume changes accordingly, the phone volume level remains the same. This means that even after I've got the Play 360 at max volume, I can then increase it further by using the volume control on the 808.What you end up with is 10 levels of volume on the Belle phone and ten levels of volume on the Play 360. As long as no music is playing they adjust together. When music plays they adjust independantly.

There is an annoying beep sound during calls and the volume control is automatically at the maximum. When I try to bring down the volume using the volume control switch on the side, the volume bar slides all the way to the very lowest and not in steps.I tried googling but I could not find anything. Can someone please suggest what to do?
Having been able to control my music via the supplied headset of my Music Express 5800 it has now stopped working. I can still hear perfectly well via it, but the volume control, stop, start of skip functions have now stopped. I'm not too sure the ability to answer the phone from it exists either. Can anyone tell me if this is due to the headset itself or if there's an option in the 5800 that I need to look at? If it's the latter I won't need to make a trip to the store.
I have updared my 5800 from v2.1 to v5.0 now i have a problem with music player that i can't raise or low the volume from the volume keys when i press these keys nothing happen but these keys are working to zoom in and zoom out in camera ! and when i open music player it searches for music and podcasts and this search never end and when i go back to home screen music player still have the old view.
Sometimes I need my in-call volume high and sometimes low depending on where I am. The up doesn't work for anything, in-call volume, music, etc. I've had the phone a few months now.
A volume setting is stored for playback through the iPhone's speaker, and another for when earphones are plugged in.
I have noticed since updating to iOS 5.1 that the volume slider in the Music app sometimes displays the "speaker" level during "earphone" playback when switching between the two modes.
Although the slider displays the incorrect volume level, the playback is at the earphone setting's volume, not the displayed volume.
N.B. I have an iPhone 3GS, and the performance of the Music app has degraded with each iOS update; this seems to be due to the core software growing more complex. It is possible that there is just a very long delay between loading the Music app, it recognising the earphones are plugged in, and the volume slider widget being updated accordingly. I will report back with more clarification after more observation.
how to increase the volume on the Nokia X1-00? The buttons on the side of the phone are not changing the volume, and when I talk to people it is very low
