When using the Google Music Beta, is there a more elegant solution for adjusting volume other than fumbling with the up/down volume buttons on the side? Most music players appear to have some sort of volume slider on the screen. but other than play/pause/skip virtual buttons, I see no inherent volume control on the player.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just installed an update to the Music App, shows as version 3. Previously I had moved several albums to the Music folder on my wifi Xoom and could see and play these on the Xoom. After the update the Music app does not see the previous albums. I moved another wma file to the Music folder using the latest USB drivers but the App does not see it either. Other music playing apps on the Xoom see the files and can play them. What am I doing wrong? I think I have the Music beta but am not sure, can anyone tell me what the version of the Music beta is? Also, I installed the windows USB driver on all my computers. USB seems to work fine on my Win 7, WinXP and Windows Home Server computers except through USB I cannot see any media files in my Xoom folders. Also many files I have put in the download folder cannot be seen. Is this due to the .nomedia file in the folder. Can I just rename that file to see the other files there?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't want to prevent xoom from going black after inactivity but I use it at my office to play music and I don't like having to unlock it each time I want to skip a song or change volume or pause it. How you deal with this screen lock and if there a music player better to deal with the lock on the xoom (I'm using the default android 3.1 player). Also not all my mp3 have good identifier so to be able to find them to play, I would like to have a folder browser list to play folders. What players you recommend for this scenario?

Ive used it for about two hours and it is smooth and syncs flawlessly with Chrome. It has great features like gesture tab switching. Im going to play around with it some more and report back anything new or worrisome. Please share any tips or tricks for the community.

When I listen to radio the volume setting of 1 is often loud enough, if I then put it in my pocket I mis all calls as it is not loud enough. so the new xoom 2 has an Ir output that can be used to control tv's and dvd players but i've yet to get the supplied digit app to work well nor find any other app to replicate it.I can't find a choice for the pvr/hard disk player.

Sometimes ( not always or consistently) when I am done listening to radio I lose my volume controls. I exit the app and my volume controls on the side of the phone no longer work for some reason? I have tried to end the FM radio tasks with no success. The only way I have found to get my volume controls back is to power down the phone and reboot it. The phone has been factory reset, and it has been replaced and I still have the same issue.

I also lost firefox and facebook. Webtop 3.0 seems to be just an enlarged version of the phone on the lapdock.

The best examples of when this might come in handy:In the car, being able to turn media volume up to loud so you can stream music through your stereo and control it entirely through the car stereo. I find mysef always having to find my phone and turn media up on the phone first, so I don't accidentally blow a speaker when I get in the car without the phone connected.At work being able to turn the media volume to mute. This way I can sneak a round of Scramble or Words with Friends in without my cube neighbors hearing the tell tale sounds of the games.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince using ICS on my RazrMaxx When checking email it takes forever (ok 4-8 minutes) to connect and check the mail. It is a gmail based email set up under messaging. Battery Life has dropped dramatically. No universal volume controls for messaging and calls (For example if I want to adjust my phone ringtone to be very soft by using the rocker switch on the side it now only controls just the phone ringer. Messaging would still be at the volume you have the settings at. Previously the rocker switch controlled all volume.)

Is there something for the Motorola phone like that? I have been looking all over. I use my phone while running and want to skip songs sometimes. Tried the Skype echo test and found out that actually had something wrong with tablet's microphone captures voice at very low volume. This started to happen after the ICS update, of late, just for no apparent reason, the tablet reboots when using it. especially playing some games...Now, it is not usable, it just reboots in a loop, sometimes when it reboots sucessfully, its hardly stable for a minute or two then it reboots again.I have not dropped it or it never had any accidents.

Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?

I hold the on button and volume high button on for three to five seconds . sometimes this works and som times it don't. If i hold the two buttons for longer a message appears about start protocolect. I have no idea what this means.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Pioneer AVIC-Z1 Navigation DVD in my car and the bluetooth with my new iPhone 4 does not allow the volume to be adjusted, like I could do with the 3G iPhone.
So, the caller's voice is really loud and the echo is very bad. On the 3G I could use the volume buttons on the iPhone to turn down the caller's voice which made the echo mostly go away. Now, the volume buttons do nothing.
Anyone having problems with their jawbone or other headsets? I was thinking I may have to switch to one of those instead...?
