Google released their Chrome app for android. This app is in beta form and is limited to only ICS devices, sorry Verizon Xooms! Ive used it for about two hours and it is smooth and syncs flawlessly with Chrome. It has great features like gesture tab switching. Im going to play around with it some more and report back anything new or worrisome. Please share any tips or tricks for the community.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI just installed an update to the Music App, shows as version 3. Previously I had moved several albums to the Music folder on my wifi Xoom and could see and play these on the Xoom. After the update the Music app does not see the previous albums. I moved another wma file to the Music folder using the latest USB drivers but the App does not see it either. Other music playing apps on the Xoom see the files and can play them. What am I doing wrong? I think I have the Music beta but am not sure, can anyone tell me what the version of the Music beta is? Also, I installed the windows USB driver on all my computers. USB seems to work fine on my Win 7, WinXP and Windows Home Server computers except through USB I cannot see any media files in my Xoom folders. Also many files I have put in the download folder cannot be seen. Is this due to the .nomedia file in the folder. Can I just rename that file to see the other files there?

Most music players appear to have some sort of volume slider on the screen. but other than play/pause/skip virtual buttons, I see no inherent volume control on the player.
View 4 Replies View RelatedNoticed yesterday that my bookmarks on the Xoom were not syncing any longer. When I looked in Settings/Accounts & Sync, the Chrome portion showed a white life-raft indicator & when I click on it to initiate a sync it always ends with an error - red exclamation point at the bottom of this screen. I do have quite a lot of bookmarks so I wondered if maybe that was the issue so I tried deleting all on the tablet and syncing with a different account that has no bookmarks. Same sync error occurs. Have also tried a FC and 'delete data' for the Browser app from Settings/Applications (multiple times) but it still won't sync with either account.
Just wondering if this is something just happening to me or if there's perhaps an outage at Google that's affecting others' Browser syncing. Anyone have any other suggestions for getting this working again other than doing a factory reset? That's probably the next thing I will try, once I make a list of all my 3rd party applications so I can re-install them later. Incidentally the Xoom is a US WiFi model, non-rooted, with the OTA 3.2 update in place. As far as I know this problem only started a few days ago, well after the 3.2 update.
I have had my bookmarks syncing successfully since I found out that I could do it. Today, all of my bookmarks on my FE disappeared, and the browser refuses to sync to my Google account. I've logged into Chrome and all of my bookmarks are intact. Also, running stock 3.1 not rooted, no tomfoolery has been had with this device.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs title, thought the forums were down, tried resetting password but no joy. Eventually tried in IE9 and it worked. I see there is some redirection after login. In Chrome it appears to accept the password but just redirects you back to the login page. I was able to login in Chrome straight after the forums migration so not sure what's happened.

The browsing speed is very very slow and most sites dont open.The signal strength shown in xoom is - (-105 dBm 3 asu).Is this a issue with Android 3.2 update or my home wifi is weak? "Am afraid i dont know about the N97 native client but you could try the new Symbian Beta (not officially supported for the N97 but some users are reporting they have installed it and it works) at least until the Native client gets released anyway."
Has anyone attempted this with an N97? What issues/success have you encountered? Hoping for some feedback to help me decide if I want to attempt this.
