i am trying to download music from ovi store/ringtones. everyting goes well till i receive my sms link. when i click on it and click on buy and then download - it just hangs, showing the download bar but at 0% and not moving. if i log into the store on my laptop and go to "my stuff" it shows that that spesific song has been downloaded, but its no where on my phone.
When downloading music from the Ovi Music website using N8 (which came with unlimited music), the downloader makes the download, but gives error code 0x800704C7 at the end. Artist & album name folders get created on the device, but no songs are found therein. I tried again after cleanin web browser, deleting the blank folders from N8 etc, but doesn't help. Re-installing cable drivers & Ovi suite (& all other Nokia-ware on PC) also didn't help. (I rebooted before reinstalling & thereafter). The error persists in any connection type- Ovi suite, media transfer etc.
Ok seems that the entire ovi music store is borderline useless..well make that useless. The songs downloaded over the air sounds like worse than AM radio.
I cannot download a single song from the pc application, the downloads resets every time. I am yet to downaload a single song from there. Emails to the support desk has not been replied back.
Anyone facing the same problem? Now I know why the reviewers were so kind to N8..shucks for a few benjamins more I could have got the desire hd
I'm having trouble setting my music as ringtones on my X2. In the ringtone selection menu, there is a folder called "Music files", but the phone says it is empty, and if I try to access it, it says "Folder contents unavailable for selection". However, the music files are working with the media player without any problems.
Can somebody please tell me how I can use a music track which is in my N900, as a ringtone. There doesn't seem to be any way of moving tracks into ringtones, or is it just me?
I want to hide my personal ringtones (on the mass storage drive) from my Music library as it is quite annoying to hear your ringtones when listening to good music. The folder with the Nokia ringtones I can't find.
When I am listing to music mp3 files on shuffles every now and again I will get the mp3's that are associated with ringtones and text messages and alarms which are also mp3 and they are "talking tones", so imagine I am listening to Beyonce and the next song to play is "you have an incoming call!" - so any way to stop or hide them talking mp3 ringtones from when I just want to listen to mp3 music files?
Just got a 6350. I know that there are probably lots of places where I can download ringtones. However, I wanted to mention that I am unhappy with the limited number of default ringtones (about 12). Even my 5 year old Nokia had more choices.
Additionally, all the options play music. There is nothing that is less annoying / more professional sounding. Just a simple ring or beep sequence. So, I'm just learning. Please point me at a good place to download non-song ring tones for this phone. I'm on AT&T if that's an issue.
I am trying to get the custom ringtones onto my 920 but zune does support the 920, how to transfer the mp3 tones so that the custom folder appears in the ringtone section. The phone is using windows 8.
Im using x6 16gb and downloaded around 50 songs and were at high kbps ratings. But now suddenly the application is downloading songs only at 64 kbps. When not logged in app shows high bitrate of a particular song (192-256) but after logging in, it shows bitrate of the same song as 64 kbps?

I want to find a website that I can purchase and download ringtones to my phone, but I fear using a site that is not good. I am on the sprint network, Is it possible to download ringtones to my phone using my laptop, and the blackberry desktop software? I wish Blackberry had better user guides. The ringtones that came with the phone are really bad.
After working fine for more than a week, the music queue in my ovi music is not downloading from the server even though I can browse and select music and even listen to the 30 sec preview; music won't download from either the pc or the N8 handset. It says cannot connect to sever.
I have installed OVI Music Player in My PC with windows XP as administrator. With my new Nokia 5235 I have got unlimited ovi music download for n year. So I registered my PC through OVI Player OVI Music tab.
Now I am able to sign in and download music from OVI Music Store. But when I am trying to play Downloaded and imported music in my PC through my music tab it is ovi player is trying to Download Microsoft Windows Media DRM. And it is failed to update DRM showing Error message "We are Unable to authorize your PC. Make sure you are connected to the internet and try again. (0xC00D2736)"
How is it possible that I am not connected to internet as I am downloading Music at the same time through OVI player and signed in to OVI music with my unlimited downloadable user id?? When I open my Music account details through OVI player OVI music Tab it is showing that this is my authorized PC then why I am not able to get DRM to play downloaded Music?
I have a Blackberry Bold which I downloaded music onto, from Amazon MP3. I am trying to download that music from my Blackberry to my PC (Windows XP, I have Blackberry Sync downloaded and Media Player 11). When I plug my phone into my PC, all of my songs disappear on the Music screen. So they are not there to sync. It says, To see files, disconnect from the PC.
I regularly buy and download music from the Amazon Music App. For the past few weeks after I purchase a song and download it to my device it is no where to be found. I dug around in my phone files and found my Taylor Swift songs in a folder. Here is the path: SD card> android> data> com.amazon.mp3> files> music> private> taylor swift>speak now
But they are .m4a files and cant be played on my music app. I don't want to have to download a new music player app, i just want everything back how it used to be.
I want to use wma music files as a ringtone, however my phone keeps defaulting to the Sony standard ringtone. I have saved my phone contacts and my proposed ringtone files to the phone memory and set each contact up with their correct ringtone. Also, having set a new default ringtone for general calls, this doesn't seem to want to work either - again the Sony ringtone keeps going off. I have even tried to find the Sony ringtone on the phone and delete it, but without success.
I'm anxiously waiting for the arrival of my new Nokia Lumia 1320 and was wondering if you can use your own music that is saved on your pc for ringtones?
Years ago I had a Nokia N8 and I was able to do this; I then upgraded to an Iphone which doesn't allow it.
I just wanted to double check that we can take a MicroSD card, pack it full of music, and then listen to the music on the phone from the card, without having to pay any subscription fees? Also, how hard is it to transfer ring tones for this phone from a PC?
I tried to sync a custom ringtone (m4r) on my iPhone 4s but iTunes says it will erase all my music and videos if I want to start synchronizing ringtones. My iTunes library is over 100gb. I don't have that much space on my iPhone nor do I want my whole library on my phone so I manually sync my songs and videos.Am I really stuck with having to automatically sync my media just to sync ringtones?I use an iPod Classic 160 (which does automatically sync everything)an iPad 2 64 (movies only)and an iPhone 4s (some music and some movies)Is there a way to manually manage ringtones or automatically sync them without wiping music off my phone? I have nearly 5000 songs on it and I'd like not to have to spend a weekend copying it all back on
How can I get my songs from my computer to my phone razr.? I set up motocast and see my songs but only when I am logged on to the internet. Is there a way to use them as my ringtones?
iPhone 5S synced to older Mac PowerBook does not receive ringtones or music in iTunes during sync. I've tried numerous times. Do I possibly have a setting wrong? I've checked everything I can think of. iTunes is up-to-date, iPhone software is up-to-date, MacPowerBook is up-to-date and running OSX Version 10.9.4. Music and ringtones are definitely where they should be in iTunes media library.
