View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Nokia x6 for a while now and lately it's really starting to act up. Every now and then it just reboots itself. The menu (that appears when you press the on/off button) pops up real quick and automatically chooses the "turn off"-option. This happens more than 10 times a day. But it won't shut down if the lock button is activated, the display just lights up (which is REALLY annoying too). I've tried to do a soft reset and a hard reset (although the hard reset didn't delete my songs) and the problem persists! Should I try to format the the discs (or whatever they're called) or is this undoubtedly a problem that needs to be solved by my local Nokia Care Center?

Does anyone know how to adjust this (as it's costing me 3 times as much). The only difference I can see is the real player version, where can I download older versions of real player or can someone recommend an apps will can stream.

I've been reading a lot about Nokia Messaging and some sources say that it is a real push email service like BIS but some say that it needs to maintain an active connection all the times to ensure instantenous delivery of email. What's the truth? When I choose 'push' on my Nokia E72, it is connected to the internet all the time and only pretends to be real push, but I was wondering whether it's because my operator is not supported. Also, what difference does it make when your operator supports Nokia Messaging? As far as I know, my operator is not supported, but I easily set up Nokia Messaging with my Nokia E72. So, doesn't it mean that the only thing required for the Nokia Messaging to work is a data plan? Why does Nokia make announcements about starting to offer Nokia Messaging in countries where there already is internet in mobile phones?

You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem
I am a hardcore user of nokia c5-00 for almost 9 months. I am happy with everything except for the fact that the inbuilt real player cannot play rmvb files without flaws. Whereas i have a another player which plays the same files like charm.

I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.

How do I change the email tone to a custom tone?
I bought a real 8800 original a while back and decided to upgrade. I got online the 8800 carbon arte, but when I got it in I realized it is a fake (a nice fake, but a fake).Now I'm not sure if I should keep it and sell my old 8800, or send back the 8800 carbon fake? I cant afford a new carbon as they are well over 1grand.
features on the fake seem to be all except no pc suite option (USB gives me com port, mass storage, webcam) and no touch option. Im also assuming that the screen isnt durable.Other than that, the firmware seems to be the same (from what I gathered online)What would you do? Keep the original 8800, or use the newer 8800 carbon fake?
This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
I'm looking for a way to make my own ringtones (pick song, choose section of song I want, etc.) or a site that has a ton of ringtones ready to DL for free. The ringtones section of crackberry is nice but the quality of some of the songs I want is not good.

I tried clicking Cancel and then Download. I have also tried exiting the Store and trying again.I went to store.ovi.com and it shows MobileTag as Downloaded even though it hasn't and I can't re-download it.

View 19 Replies View RelatedMy E72 suddenly does not vibrate or gives out a tone upon receiving a SMS.I checked the profile I used and the vibration and message tone were checked.I tried restoring the phone to factory settings but the problem still persist.Not sure where the problem lies though. When people call me, my phone does vibrate and the ring tone plays.but if I remember correctly, the notification light may or may not work at times when receiving an sms and the screen does not lit up upon receiving it too (if I'm correct, not sure now since I didn't notice when the problem occurs). This only applies when receiving SMSes.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the N86 8MP, I can't fault the phone other than the ring tone problem that I have tried to live with from when I got the phone in December. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem or its just me, but when my phone rings the ring tone slows down like a broken record and then speeds up and slows down again. Whatever I chose to be my ring tone either one from the phone or one I have put on it, it still has this problem. The funny thing is you can play the songs or ring tone's and they play normaly its only when you set them as a ring tone does the problem occur.
