I just installed the new firmware v12 on my Nokia N97 and now I'm missing the option to connect to 3G and 3,5 G.
The phone is still in Dual mode. But when startin an app the option to connect with 3G or 3,5G doesn't appear.
A couple og games useful apps has disapeared, such as play-to and camera extras. My phone lumia 710 with newest update. Where are they?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI was about to change my default ringtone, and discovered that the only options were "Off" and "Download sounds".
However, if I remove the memory card, all the ringtones are available again. If I put the card back in, they're gone again !
What's wrong ?
BTW, by default in what folder are ringtones stored ? I couldn't find them...
When I tap my screen and choose adding shortcuts only my second page of shortcuts show, where the Facebook app. are. My first page do not show, where phone and contacts are. I had these before but now I can not figure out what to do to get the phone shortcut on my desktop.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently for firmware update v21, i hard reset my phone and also format the mass memory. Phone is running fine but wavesecure is missing.
In ovi, wavesecure trial version of 7 days is available... if download that then registers with phone number as username and before when shipped with phone then registered with another username. (decided by us)
how can i bring back the wavesecure full version, because that's free for N97.
which is the best application to secure the phone when lost or stealing.
On some screens, some of the letters are missing on headings eg text messa rather than text message - there seems little space for the remaining letters. Also sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for the full word to appear eg on the personalisation page, it first appears as personalisa and then the final letters appear. Other than that phone is good so far.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince I've discovered that Ovi navigation was released for free, I upgraded my N82 maps to Ovi maps v3.01 09wk44. Everything is working allright except for the 3D landmarks. I can only see something like "2D shadow from top view". Do I have to activate them somehow ? Or maybe just go online and update (free) license?

I have been using Nokia handsets for last 5-7 years, because I like the compatibility & reliability of Nokia phones. But this time Nokia has really disappointed me. I have bought Nokia 5800 XpressMusic on 14th-August-2009 of 16000 INR. I have bought it for that particular feature. But i havn't found any TV-Out cable in the box or such feature in the handset. I have also connected TV-Out cable of Nokia N-95 with it, but its not working. I hope, Nokia will sure make a positive solution for that devices, manufactured without this feature in August-2009 & give the relief to all its owners like me, by replacing it with new one having this feature.

The MMS send functionality seem to be limited to pictures.The old Nokia N95 had this beautiful functionality that it somehow compressed HD videos, so you could send them within the MMS size limit. This functionality were removed on the later Nokia Symbian phones, but it was still possible to send videos if you recorded them with low quality.

- delete all log call

i updated to v 31.0.101 today in order to download the ovi maps stuff, and now under Connectivity there is no longer an option for WLAN!? How do I get wireless back? I'd rather not update if it means having internet (no data plan).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.
I bought my nokia n900 around 10 days back, works absolutely fantastic, gives me atleast 14-15hrs or battery life. yesterday i installed a couple of applications like MYMENU and MYTUBE. i checked it then and there and did not find it very good. so i uninstalled it. after that i cannot find 'MORE' option which is at the right bottom of the menu screen. dont know what to do know. even if i tap on the empty space at the right bottom it comes up to my dashboard.
Nokia has me back as a loyal customer again after my debacle with the Nokia N97. I noticed three things that I thought are fairly critical, that are missing, all related to the phone part of the N900.
1) In my E61 and the N97, one could while in a call, choose a contact from the contact list and send number as DTMF, this feature is particularly useful when using calling cards, which I do
2) From the call log of both the E61 and N97 you could choose an entry and edit the number before calling, helpful sometimes when roaming and the incoming number comes with an odd prefix because of odd carrier routing of the call
3) In Contacts, is there no field for Middle Name?
I have tried a fair bit of searching on this and other sites, oddly couldn't find anything on these, any one have any thoughts?
I am trying to assign one of the built-in ring tones in the General profile, but there are no ringtones available except for "beep" and "Nokia tone" The other tones for IM, email, SMS are available but no ring tones. I should mention that I have already flash the phone firmware with the PR 1.2 (India) update.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI received a N97 today(from out my country). I put my sim in, i can recive or make calls, however many of the phones menu options are missing. There is no wifi menu, when i tried to connect via Suite, phone didn't show me suite, in mass storage usb it shows me total memory is less than 1 mega, and when i try to enter other applications like "My Nokia" i get "Not allowed now" message. Is the phone locked or something? Can i fix it or should i take it to a service?

When connecting to my computer (Windows 7 64) via usb I have no issues, but over bluetooth I get 3 uninstalled components which are listed as Bluetooth Peripheral Device in Device Manager.I have not fully tested my bluetooth functionality yet, but I do know that when I try to listen to the audio through my computer speakers or use a headset set up to my computer it doesn't work properly.
