I just did a quick comapre of the E72 and E73 manuals, and it appears that the E73 Mode for T-Mobile does NOT support UPnP and DLNA, even though Nokia's own Spec sheet says it does.Did T-Mobile yank this out, or was this an oversight on Nokia's part?
Doesn Nokia E73 Mode(T-Mobile specific) supports SIP VoIP Settings app and does it allow to place VoIP calls? According to Nokia's Remote Device Access(RDA): Advanced VoIP Settings appeared as supposed to beInternet telephone item appeared in Contact detail as it should beHowever Internet Call didn't appear in Call options as it should happenHere's little animated gif about 30 sec which I made from pics during RDA experience.

http://arstechnica.com/apple/news/20...n-this-way.ars According to Ars. Check out the last paragraph. Here's the quote from the link on the Ars page. Looks like the guy was talking to Apple on the phone and they're sending him a new one. update on the reception issue from my buddy who has been hitting his head against the wall: Got off the phone with Apple. They're sending me a new one overnight. They said they're aware of the issue, and it has something to do with a missing protective coating on some of the parts. Hopefully it's not a bunch of baloney BTW, Apple has amazing support. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional. They really do take care of you. Every time, in my experience.
I've got my MP3's on a server which DLNA found the first time I ran the program. I transfered the one I wanted. Worked well except for changing the directory they were in. Since then, I've added some music to the server and wanted to use the program to transfer them to my phone. I conneceted to the server with the program, but the folders were not listed. I've looked a refresh setting, but could not found one.
I don't have any DLNA compatible devices. I don't want DLNA. It starts automatically and takes up 3GB of memory. I can't remove it because it is part of the bloat.
Does the RAZR hardware support USB host mode? Will it function under Gingerbread? Will it function under ICS? I know the Galaxy S2 support this. I expect the Galaxy Nexus will. I want the RAZR and I hope it also supports this, at least under ICS.
Tried to share music from my atrix with my vaio laptop using the s/w already installed on the phone but did not work.Is there special drivers or extra s/w needed to make it work.
Motorola Left Out Guest Mode and Multi-User Support in Your DROID Turbo’s Lollipop Update...With Android 5.0, Google introduced support for guest accounts and additional users on phones. When Google pushed Android 5.1 a few months after 5.0, they didn’t remove the feature. Although, if you are a DROID Turbo owner who recently updated to Android 5.1 (it’s rolling out now to all by the way), you are probably wondering where it is.
Ok the BTU and Vodafone Rom seem to have Silent Mode missing in the Pull down you had three options ring Vibrate and Silent Now there is Just Sound and vibrate.
I have a S6 edge and trying to find out where is the network mode can be found. Far is I know, it should be under the "mobile network" menu, but is not there. All I have under the "mobile networks" menu is: Mobil data, International Data Roaming, Access Point Names and Network operators. None of these including the "network mode".
If I try to find it in the search, it takes me straight to where is should be, but again, is not there.
Since I got my Xperia ray mobile phone in October 2011 I have been using the MTP mode with Media Go with no problems! Automatically backing up photos and syncing new music, brilliant! I came back from holiday two weeks ago with new photos taken with my phone camera so I connected it to my computer to import them. I was shocked to see that Media Go didn't start to automatically import the photos like it normally would and that it thought there was no pictures on the memory card, videos or even music! Empty?
Curiously it showed there was still 4.55GB of used space (I remembered this was roughly how much space I have used with pictures and videos and music), I decided to explore the folders using windows explorer (still in MTP mode) and again to my horrer the pictures, video and music folders appear empty! I even checked hidden file options but this did not work. On the mobile itself I could still see the files so I knew they had not been deleted. I then tried the MSC mode to connect my phone to my computer and this worked, the files Media Go had thought missing were all where they should be, however Media Go and all my files are no longer synced with my computer.
I was fiddling around with my 9360 and I realized that I don't have the Battery Saving Mode option. I know that I should since I'm running 7.1.0.336, right? I don't think that I did anything wrong in installing the OS. How do I get that option? Is there something I need to do?
Today may be the first time I attempted to transfer photos from my Atrix to the PC. I am running Windows 7 Pro-64bit. After connection via cable, I select USB Mass Storage for the USB connection. Windows throws up a box that asks "Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk?" I select "continue without scanning. In Windows Explorer there appear to be far fewer folders on the card than when viewing in Astro, but I did not do an exhaustive check. Of immediate concern is that the Camera folder is not visible under DCIM, thus I can't retrieve my photos over the cable. Should I back up the card directly to the PC via microSD adapter then let Windows scan and fix next time over cable?
How can I select highest resolution on automatic mode and scenes mode? It looks like some inportant function is missing. The creative mode is really hard to use. I perfer automatic and scenes mode which is easiler for me but I want it to be the best resolution is there any way because I couldn't find the setting?
I have bought a N900 today and am busy testing it. With the phone, no real user guide was given. I downloaded one from the Nokia site. But I do not seem to find how to make the screen rotate.
My N900 only seems to be able to connect to PC Suite in 'non-compatibility' mode. This mode doesnt allow me to use any of the PC suite applications. How do I change the mode to 'compatibility' mode, or the 'normal' mode so everything works! No options appear on the phone when the USB cable is connected for PC Suite, like it should do? The phone is automatically charged via the connection though.
So I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode. This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
considering that i've seen these support videos on Internet, it is silly that they don't work in the support app. should be a trivial thing for se to fix.
I have an E71 a year ago. I bought this phone because of their SIP support. But I just want to sell it and buy an E72 phone. II read too many complaints about this phone because it doesn't bring with native SIP support (some models, I want to buy mine via Amazon). I read in some posts (mainly this post) that the Net Settings brings up a bunch of VoIP servers. I have my own Asterisk server, my E71 works flawlessly with it and I don't need to use another provider such as Fring, Nimbuzz or Gizmo.
Do I need another SIP provider in E72? Or E72 can't just conect to a SIP server just like E71?
I've been trying to upgrade the Ovi maps on my E75, because navigation has kept me saying that I need to renew the license. I went to Nokia web site and found out that I need to upgrade Ovi maps in order to get the free navigation. I have a 202.12.01 firmware and I installed it once again when I had unsuccessfully tried to upgrade Ovi maps. I have Ovi maps v3.01 09wk44b01 (MW OpenGL LM MN) and Map version 0.1.24.114 (OpenBitLM 6.22.5). I've deleted all old maps and started to download new ones successfully over Nokia Ovi Suite. I've downloaded Nokia Ovi Suite and followed the instructions for downloading and installing the newest version of Ovi maps application (I suppose it must be newer than the one I have on now, because navigation still wants me to buy license, I guess it must be 3.03 or higher). I've tried it several times from the scratch, just to make sure I did it right. Of course I've also chosen the right E75 phone from the drop down menu and I downloaded the file nokia_maps_3.01_09wk44_b01_s60_3.2_lm_rom.sis. I double-clicked it and everything seems to be right, but when action on the phone should be required the installation guide says "Nokia E75 does not support sis files". From the sis file name I can only now see that I have this version already installed.Does this mean I can not use navigation for free on E75?
What are the requirements to get this feature working? Just tested MfE 3.00.050 witha Nokia E71 phone running latest firmware v400 against MS Exchange 2003 SP2, and jus cannot see HTML formatted mail. Just the unformatted text is shown on the MfE client.
Do I need to do some configuration in OWA or in Exchange mailbox server? Or does this feature work only with MS Exchange 2007 OWA? If HTML message format really is supported in Nokia E71 and MfE 3.0.0050, I guess it should work with the latest phone firmware.
I got the N95 TV out and I was curious if I can use it on the N97 as I can see there is settings for the TV out on the nokia n97 but when I use it don't work, so what's the problem?
