Nokia :: Mailbox Can Not Recognized In 5800

I have defined g-mail mailbox on my 5800. It seems to be working fine.
Now, the problem is if I go into Messaging > Email > Inboxes, it says 'No Mailbox defined. Define now?' I start the wizard, it says 'preparing for installation, then takes me straight to my email inbox. No settings are changed - if I try to do the same thing again, it still says no mailboxes are defined and tries to start the wizard again.
I can't even delete it. Cos when I try to find the mail box to delete it says no mail box defined. I'm running the latest firmware, 50.0.005. There is no updates better than this I think!

for some reason I am not able to set up a mailbox on my nokia 5800 smartphone , I go to messaging -options- to settings to e-mail to mailboxes. Then I've entered in the address and then password then a message is given informing me that a bookmark is added to web browser to enable e-mail use ...then I am returned to the menu.I then re-enter as above to see if a mailbox has been created.but no box is ever created.

I was looking forward to new firmware release because of the well-known gps issue but no improvement recognized. Still very slow with drop-outs. Can you inform us if there is a tendency to fix this problem by Nokia?

I can't seem to figure out how to change the default mailbox that is used when sending photos from the gallery. I have two email accounts setup, and when I choose 'send' from the photos gallery, it automatically selects one. I would like to change it to use the other email account, but even though I've set the one I want to use as the 'primary' account i the email and homescreen settings, it uses the other one.

I have set my company email using IMAP set up and whenever I send email from my phone a copy of the email sent is saved in the default 'Sent Items' folder. I tried selecting one of these sent email and used 'Move' option to move the email. When I click Move it shows a screen where it says 'no data'. FYI I have already updated my Server side folder list but I do not see my server side folder listed in the Move page. I am not sure if this is an issue or am I missing something?

I've just bought a Nokia 5230 and I want to use the mailbox from messaging menu.When I select create new mailbox the Nokia Email Setup wizard starts and it begins the download of Nokia Email.
I don't want to use Nokia Email Setup; I just want to configure manually e-mail settings.How do I do that? How can I disable the Nokia Email Setup?

I've a mailbox (Hotmail -- marked with a '?' not a mailbox icon) that I cannot delete from the list in Messaging. I believe it a relic from where I had it setup then upgraded the software on my phone. I have Nokia Messaging Email software setup and working now and can also create and delete other mailboxes inside of the original Messaging section. I know a reformat will remove it but would rather avoid this if at all possible.

I have Nokia Messaging installed which I use primarily with my gmail account. While experimenting with adding accounts, I inadvertantly added two ovi.com accounts to the preinstalled "Messaging" application. One is listed as ovi.com and the other is listed as ovi.com01. There seems to be no way to delete or undo those accounts on the phone. At the very least, I wish to delete the ovi.com01. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include reformatting the phone? I really don't have the time or patience for that. I've already put way too much time in removing AT&T crapware and rearranging program folders/icons.

I've been using Nokia E72 for about 9 months now and no major issues. I have set up my official email using IMAP option and have been using it without any problem. Today when after sync of my mailbox , I was trying to read few emails. It was taking long time to open the email and later I it was hanging. I had to restart the phone and to my surprise the mailbox disappeared. I tried restarting the phone several times, but my mailbox is gone. I also moved all emails from my server INbox from my laptop email client to local folders. But still the mailbox on phone is not coming up.I do not want to do hard reset of the phone and I want to know if its okay to set up a new mailbox on the phone. WIll it cause any issues ?

The mail setup wizard (which I dislike for other reasons) insists of setting up a imap mailbox that doesn't work with my ISP (cablecom switzerland) I'd like to setup a pop3 mailbox. But once the mailbox is setup the type cannot be changed. How do I setup a POP3 mailbox?

Would anyone be able to tell me how I can delete an email account from my device? I changed email providers and the account is inactive but I just cannot find an option to delete it. I had my official mailbox set up on E72 and recently i removed the mailbox due to issues with sync. Mailbox got removed without any issues, however when i click on email one touch key, it still goes to the old mailbox & asks for pwd for connecting. Shudn't removing mailbox clean up everything? I also see this old mailbox name appear under email>global settings>homescreen>. This is strange and annoying. Is there a way i can clean up old mailbox w/o doing hard reset?

I've recently got an E72 and I'm trying to set-up email (via Lineone). I've done the inbox thing ok but can't send anything. On the Advanced Mailbox settings, there is no Incoming mailbox or Outgoing mailbox settings option. I've searched high and low but can't find anything that will let me have access to the Outgoing mailbox.

I have a new E72, and Gmail mailbox. I would like to synchronize this mailbox with Mail For Exchange software, but i don't receive any mails/contacts/calendar. I have perfectly configuring my Gmail Mail For Exchange account:
Login: username@gmail Password : mailbox password
Server: m.google.com
Domain: empty
My data connection are good, other software work's fine (Internet browser, chat, etc), but I don't see any emails or contacts or calender in my different exchange software.

I tried installing in vain an interesting VoIP application called spokn (http://www.spokn.com/cgi-bin/nokia.cgi) on my N97mini. As it didn't work after installation I decided to remove it.After removing it also, I see that it has not deleted Call mailbox setting that it created while installing. If I go to Settings > Calling > Call Mailbox I see account listing with , but there is no option to remove it. In the options I only see "Call internet call mailbox".How does one get rid of this please. (as this causes extra tab to be appearing in my contacts)

I'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.

I cannot delete mailbox under Menu -> Email -> Settings -> [Selected mailbox] -> Option -> Remove Mailbox -> "You must be connected to remove a mailbox. Try again later.".
Connected where and how the mailbox can be deleted? There are lots of discussion of same problem but no solution (=factory reset is not solution).

After connecting my N900 to PC the phone is not recognized by the PC. I used new micro USB cable bought on Ebay when this problem occured (I doubt it is a coincidence). Before, with original cable, it worked OK, now it's not working at all.
When conecting the phone Windows alerts with:
"USB device not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it". The phone detects cable being pluged in and offers if I want mass storage or PC Suite mode, but it doesn't matter which one I choose. It also stopped charging from PC.
