I turned 18 in August and I've tried to promote my child account to an adult account. It worked on my computer but regardless of how many times I sync my phone it will not change the settings on my phone. My computer says that I'm an adult but my phone does not. I would like to get apps on my phone.

But i have a problem.I can't add a microsoft account to my profile so i can download apps and so on. Tried with @gmail.com's @live.com's and so forth, nothing works. It says something about connectivity but i've tried both on 3G and WiFi.

Make sure you have good reception. If you do, the problem may be on the other end.Wait alittle while and tray again" I have full WiFi reception and HDPA+. My phone ( on T-Moble Gemrnay) does NOT provide a " Auto time sync" button. I have set the time as best as I can but no luck getting the phone to login.I have been to the T-Mobile shop today to ask for a brand new Simcard since mine was 3 years old. The did not help at all.If I try to check for new updates ( Phone Update) i get the error :"We are currently unable to check for updates. (801881e4)I can however add my ourlook.com account to mail and it will sync, but the same account will not work in the store,Xbox ,..etc What can I do ? I don't want to send the phone back but will have no choise if I can't find a solution within 1 week.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy default Microsoft account will not send emails, it syncs incoming mail just fine but for outgoing mail it always returns a windows phone reply saying that the message cant be sent and is saved in drafts. I tried setting a my yahoo mail acc as my default but it doesn't work either. In fact the messages are just moved to the outbox folder and stay there. No windows phone reply, nothing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedbasically what happened was she setup a new live account at the AT&T store on the phone, and accidently did a birthday of 10/16/2012 not 10/16/1980 so the phone automatically went into My Family mode and won't allow any apps to be downloaded. We've tried to log in to live.com and change the birthdate but it wont let you. We've called AT&T who then called Nokia, but nobody knows. Basically it's giving an error of "My Family setup needed - my family must be setup before you can buy this item. Ask your parent to setup My Family settings on windowsphone.com" when you download an app.

All of a sudden, my Alias mail account name is telling me that the password or account name is incorrect.So I go into SETTINGS as the button appears for it, and I hit it check all the settings and the settings are fine, nothing has changed. I have not had this problem in over 5 years! Is this a symptom of iCloud going full, taking over MobileMe? I cancelled my MM account 3 months back and have not had any problems. Why has this problems suddenly started appearing? I was looking at the mail in the ALIAS account from the alias account. Now I am looking at it through my main account, which is also reacting slowly due to this problem.

just deleted an old email account and set up a new one on device. however all the old contacts remain. how do i get rid of them. they only go if i delete email account but once i set up a new account the old contacts appear. theres too many i want to delete them.

while looking at my friend's droix x i noticed on his "add account" page he had an option for flickr and i do not. now we both have the exact same system version, kernel version, etc - all were the same but the prl was a different version. he also had a Internet account option that i also do not have - but i am not worried about that since i can log into Internet via the Internet app.
so how do i get the flickr on my 'add account' page? do you have it or not? i would really like to have it since there is no legit flickr app and i am not trying to download some random app for it.

I generally prefer a pop account. However, the lack of being an ability to manually set ports is making it difficult to set up my accounts. In fact that it is not an entirely setting IMAP account either.
