Oct 30, 2012I have been unable to upgrade my Lumia 800 to Windows 7.5 or higher so I could use the tethering feature. The Zune software simply doesn't see any update past the one I have. I'm opting to skip backup, so space for that isn't the problem. Handset was bought in Finland this spring, unlocked.

Oct 24, 2012I upgraded my PC from XP to Windows 7. I used the easy transfer tool, but it didn't transfer my zune settings so I had to re-enter these on the new PC. My phone had about 150 MB free space before the transfer. But now it only has 1 MB and the "Reserved space and other content" has grown to 5.58 GB! When I first synced Zune did upload all my music into my phone, so I had to delete that. But what else would be filling the 5.58 GB.

Apr 4, 2012I bought 2 Samsung Focus phones when they launched back in 2010, one of me and one for my Wife. It's an excellent phone, my favorite smartphone of all the one's I've owned. I'm a bit of a tech/gadget freak and was hoping to upgrade to a new WP7 device this year, but I'm overall disappointed with the 'new' wp7 phones. None of them seem to really offer any reasonable upgrade over the Samsung Focus.
However, I'm torn because I really want to upgrade to something new. I can sell mine and buy the Nokia Lumia 900 and probably make money on the deal.
Between the two, the Focus is lighter, smaller, better screen (although lumia 900 is .3 inches larger screen), comparable battery life, etc. The focus is also super fast, so i don't know if the upgraded CPU in the Lumia 900 will even be noticeable.
The battery life on my focus was 3 days of light/moderate use UNTIL I upgraded to Mango. Now I'm lucky to get a full 24 hours out of the battery, with no other changes done, the battery life was cut down to 1/3 of original. I'm really disappointed about this. I don't know how it will compare with the Nokia Lumia 900.
The Nokia does have a front facing camera (useful for Skype if it ever comes to WP7) and a higher megapixel camera (although my focus takes really great pictures already). It also has more built-in storage, 16gb vs the focus 8gb (although after year of use I still have 1gb left and I have a lot of junk apps that I need to delete).So, Why should I upgrade to the Nokia Lumia 900? Is it worth it?
I really need some convincing. Maybe I'm missing something here.

I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

Feb 2, 2012I used the Nokia (N95_1) four years ago as a phone, so I cannot remember where I stored the itty bitty Rogers SIM card or if I threw it away. Now I have this problem with the Nokia Suite not upgrading firmware without the sim card.I use nokia now mostly as a GPS and a Wi-fi net browsing device, so I would like to get the new map version since the current one (v3.01 09wk44 b01) keeps crashing when synchronizing favs. I downloaded the .sis file from softpedia (v3.03 10wk11 b04) but get certificate errors when trying to install it. Does anybody know where can I get a signed map, latest version for nokia n95, with a fix for the sync crash? (It does get sync'ed but closes every time)

May 23, 2012When i connect my old headsets from my nokia asha and nokia c3, they fit fine, and perfectly in the headset socket, however i cant vaigly hear anything, even though the volume is on full. Do i need a special nokia lumia 800 headset, or are the ones ive used adequate? They do fit perfectly in the audio socket so i dont see why i cant hear much from them, the 2 headsets ive tried work fine in the asha and can hear loud and clear

In 2011 Subaru Forester I am able to connect the phone and play music, but when I turn the car off and then on again it does not connect automatically like my iPhone does. May 31, 2010I have an e72 running 021.024 and the latest firmware according to the nokia site is 031.23 I can't upgrade to this. Previously, I did a check on nokia to see whether I could upgrade using my product number from under the battery and it use to tell me that the latest for my phone is 021.024 even though on the other page it use to say 031.23 is the latest.
Now however when I put my product code in to it it tells me the the latest for my phone is 031.23 so it seems my phone can now upgrade to this firmware. But when I try to update from my phone it tells me no updates are available. This is using the *#000# method and PC. What can I do?

I love the camera on my N82 so I'm hoping the X6 will be the same, hoping the screen might be good for viewing photos, like my maps so interested in the free sat nav, not too bothered about the music side if things as I have an ipod, but you never know I could be persuaded. My current situation:
I am on a family plan with a total of two lines. My line is not eligible until 7/23, so all I can get is "early upgrade pricing". My mom's line is currently eligible for "full upgrade pricing". I am planning on using my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone 4. I want to preorder the phone from Apple.com on the 15th, and hopefully receive it the afternoon of the 24th. From my understanding, the microSIM that ships with the phone will be programmed for the line whose upgrade was used. However, the iPhone Upgrade Guide makes it sound like I can call AT&T once I receive the phone (and before I activate it), and have AT&T switch the microSIM from my mom's line to mine. Is this possible?

2. sort-by-alphabet bookmarks, is it there ? if not, please make it so, cant believe such function is not available.
3. "true" desk-top browser. try cnbc.com, it'll take you to the "mobile" version instead of the full-web/desktop verson. i cant remember a couple of other sitest, but cnbc is one of them as i follow news quiet closely.
4. being an internet device, it must give you unparalleled user-friendliness, which fixing the first 3 above would. of course people may have other feedback other than browsing experience, but like i said, being a browser device, browsing experience is paramount
