Lumia 1520 :: Can't Send Text / But Can Receive Them
Aug 8, 2014So my 1520 Just all of a sudden can no longer "SEND TEXT". I can Receive them no problem. Oddly I can Send Group Text without issue. ATT New Phone, CYAN Loaded a couple days ago. GDR1 Installed.I have a Verizon ICON, with the preview on it. Its been flawless.

Jul 28, 2014I'm having issues sending and receiving pictures on my Lumia 1520 not to mention some other issues. Before updating to 8.1 it was working fine even on DP. I checked the apn settings & everything is correct. When I go to access point in settings it just closes on me. I'm using a unlocked ATT 1520 on T mobile. This is my 5th windows phone but I think it might be my last. The only reason I went with windows phone was because I loved Nokia. Now with all this Microsoft bs going on I might just sell my phone & my surface pro 2.

Dec 1, 2015I just updated my Lumia 1520 from WP 8.1 to Windows 10. My battery has been draining at a fast pace close to 10% for every 20 minutes. I have the latet windows build 10586 on my phone now. Is there any thing that could be done to solve tis issue. My battery back was just awesome under WP8.1.

Mar 25, 2015Before Denim, I could send a video as a text (or MMS) as long as it was under 30 seconds. Now, everytime I try to send a video it says "File to big to send". So how do I go back to sending videos again?

Apr 12, 2015I am on consumer cellular and I have set all my MMS settings as per the at&t recommendations. I get internet fine and regular text messages but no MMS. Consumer Cellular said sometimes the Windows phones just don't always work for MMS.

Jun 29, 2014I recently took a video that was 1.5 min and the size of the file was over 6 mb. I used the default settings. I was unable to enclose it in a text, or an email on the phone. I moved it to my computer but still was unable to email it as it was to large. I tried zipping it, raring it but could find no way to send it.
There has to be a way to reduce the size of a video as I can with photo's.

Anyways, I can make calls and receive calls, and have tested this out numerous times. However when I go to send or receive texts, it shows them as sent, but the other person does not get a text, and vice versa. I'm 100% sure that everyone is texting the correct number, and have tried turning the phone on and off.

Dec 11, 2015Since having my phone I've been having real issues whilst I've been at work with being able to phone out, receive phone calls and send/receive texts.
Everything was fine with my previous phone, and everything is fine as I drive away from work. It's almost as if my phone isn't compatible with certain signal masts or something??

There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

Jun 18, 2012I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

Oct 22, 2010I have had my Blackberry 9700 since July 2010 with no problem until this past week it has stopped making and receiving phone calls and I can't send or receive SMS. When I try to make a call, it instantly comes up with "Call Failed". I have talked to my carrier (o2) and they too cannot come up with a fix, there is no issue from there part as the sim card works fine on another phone. Strange thing is I can still use the internet on 3G, send and receive emails and my BBM works.
In Manage Connections >> Services Status, it says:

Apr 12, 2015I have three Lumia phones, a 920, a 1020, and a 1520. With each I just attach a USB, copy the camera roll files to my PC. With the first two, I open the video mp4 files on the PC and Windows Media player has no problem. Not so with the 1520, with any video file copied to the PC, it says: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Again, the same video file plays fine on the 1520 that shot it.On the PC, Quicktime and Movie Maker choke on video files too. I tried a hard reset of the 1520 but it did nothing.

Feb 9, 2015When listening to the Music app on my 1520 (16 GB ATT) and using my headphones, sometimes the volume will randomly get louder then quieter in a rhythmic motion.
It does not go from 0 to 30, its more like 5 up, then 5 down. The actual numbers of the volume stay the same, but I can definitely tell there is an increase and decrease. I've encountered this a few times from different artists (so it is not a style of the artist). Also, it seems to happen whenever the headphones are accidentally pulled out mid-song. After the song is over, the next song seems to be fine. Is there a work around other than waiting for the next song?
