My Lumia 610 doesn't display notification (unread messages) for outlook when the screen is locked. However it does display the notification such as missed calls, text messages, face book messages, Gmails, Yahoo emails, Windows live emails. But nothing for Outlook.
View 8 RepliesI was talking with the Rogers representative here in Canada, and he says the Lumia 900 doesn't support Name Display (as opposed to Caller ID). Is this true? Could it be possibly added via firmware changes?
View 2 Replies View Relatedlooks like my notifications for Outlook are no longer working. I have a notification sound setup as well as "show in action center" enabled and "show notification banners" checked. This was working previously but a day or so ago I decided to do a hard reset and clean install of everything and after that I haven't been receiving the Outlook notifications. All other notifications that I have setup within the action center are working correctly.
So far I've tried re-syncing the Outlook account, unchecking it to sync and then rechecking, multiple soft resets, unchecking the action center settings for Outlook and nothing has worked.
I'm using Outlook Mail with an Outlook account on the Lumia 950 XL.Despite changing the settings to download the whole e-mail and images, non of the images are actually visible, they are all x-ed out. Images show up for the same e-mail just fine in outlook.com and in Outlook 2016.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI love the Toast notifications on my Icon, which has Windows 8.1 through Verizon. The only problem is that they only display for a few seconds and they usually vanish before I can get to the phone to see what the notification was, and as far as I can tell, there's no way to pull up a list of old notifications. So I'm wondering if there's any way to make these notifications display longer. Right now, they seem to be about five seconds and they're gone. I'd like to extend that to at least ten seconds. And is there any way to pull up a list of old notifications so I can see what I might have missed when I was away from my phone?

Not a big deal but once you know it, it is annoying, just like the creaking back cover.I don't think this firmware update fix the heating issue, my phone heats up quickly even when browsing internet with Edge.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am guessing that this is properly a WP8 question, but having the Icon, and being new to WP8 (and therefore not knowing if all of these settings are by phone model or across the platform) I figured I'd start by posting it here. My question is, when I add my yahoo mail account through the basic email setup on the phone, will I receive notifications when mail arrives? I know that I could just send myself mail and see, but there are two reasons why this isn't a perfect way to get an answer. First, I am having issues getting other email pushed, and therefore don't always get notifications from the other accounts. Second, there is no push option for yahoo, but you can select it to check the server every so often- with 15 minutes being the shortest.
I don't want there to be an audible notification. My yahoo mail is more of a junk account than anything. There is no option under settings for it to turn notifications on or off, so I am wondering (and hoping) if it simply doesn't have an audible notification?
I'm a Lumia 1520 user. Everytime I'm listening to music via stock 8.1 music app (so called Music or Xbox music, ver. 2.6.414.0) when I get a message or any sort of a notification, music stops and won't turn back until I manually open the app and press play. It happens in music app but also in the audiobook player or MixRadio.

I just did a clean install but now Ovi Suite doesn't detect Outlook anymore.So please if someone has a solution because it's really annoying. As we say in Dutch "Ik krijg er de schijt van ).I'm using Ovi suite 2.1.1.1 and a Nokia e71.Almost forgot: MS Office Outlook 2007 SP2 (Windows 7). But before the clean install everything worked fine.
View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i lock the phone with the slider on the right side, the screen used to go black (or any screensaver would go on, if activated).Suddenly, when locking the phone, nothing happens. the screen dimms a little bit, but it's still on. It doenst matter weather i activate any kind of screensaver, the display always stays on (the keys are locked, i also see the locked sign in the menu bar). When i restart the phone, nothing changes.Only when I take out the battery for a while, the screen saver comes back up again. Everything seems to be working fine, until the next restart. Then the same problem happens again.
Is this a known bug (couldn't find anything on goole)? Am I doing anything wrong? It's driving me really crazy to see my Display on all the time (I also don't want to take out the battery after every restart).I also have to say that this happens to me on FP1 and FP2, even on a 2nd phone.
Just noticed that my N8 doesn't have a SW update notification, though it's turned on? My friend's C7 has this and just received a Maps Suite notification, whilst I had to go check if it's available, and it's there.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've noticed every once in a while my screen will display unsaturated, and each tile would look like it has a vignette around it. It almost looks HDRish. I've tried to get a screen grab showing this but then when I went to look at my screen grabs to show someone, and the screen grabs appeared normal, so definitely a display issue.

My Lumia 900's display suddenly went off. No, it didnt fall down or nothing of that sory happened. Everything else seems to be working, the phone is beeping on email alerts. I can connect to the computer and zune also shows it as connected. All the three buttons are lit as well. I tried restarting, hard reset everything - no improvement.Also tried restoring to previous version of software via Zune.

The display is so sensitive that it registers even the smallest touches.There should be an option to change the sensitiveness. For example the click event could be generated after the button is pressed 100 ms. This should prevent unwanted clicks.

Searched the Marketplace but didn't see anything that might me. Would ideally be nice to see this on the "phone" tile.
I am using Nokia Drive and Maps on Lumia 710. Say I want to go to a school in a particular area. I need to search for the name of that school and only then set my location. If I try to zoom in to that area on the map, I do not see the school or other places of interest/businesses in that area. This is irritating as in google maps, if I zoom into a location, I get all the businesses/areas on interest in that area. Am I missing something?. If not, then nokia maps needs to have this feature as it is very useful.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using the lumia 800 for past 25 days. First I had battery problem, and Nokia Care replaced with new phone.
1. Display goes off when call/SMS/email receives. It happens more often with calls. However the call will not get disconnected and can speak till the caller disconnects.
2. After restarting of the phone there is no hint of call/SMS received when the phone was in display blank
3. I cannot pair with my windows 7 laptop via Bluetooth
4. I cannot receive any business card and not hint of reception of the same
Like all I see I also bought a windows 800 on the basis that all our team of 50 would change from Iphones to windows so we could sync with our outlook which is not server based but we each run our own outlook folders but no there is no outlook sync. Yes you can copy to the live account and then use that as your main calendar but who wants to do that?
I asked and was told specifically that it would sync with outlook so the Carephone Warehouse guy either lied or did not know his stuff ( I know what my guess is!) Amazingly my wife's samsung galaxy using Android does sync.
If you can tell me how I can synchronise my windows phone with my Outlook without exporting and importing CSV and ICS files then please do so.

Furthermore I have found no way to lookup addresses in the Nokia Car navigator from contacts.
Maybe somebody knows if it's possible to set any Lumia phone to show name of person and company name when receiving incoming call.This is important if contacts are synchronized with MS Outlook and there are tens of Johns but working in different companies. If there is a field with a company name in it, suppose this would be a must to have an option to choose how to display contact when incoming call, i.e. just name or name with a company name.
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust went to a local Rogers store here in Canada to buy a new Nokia Lumia 900 with my friend.I noticed the grey software keyboard of the 900 seems "pinker" than my 800 keyboard, that and some other things.I also noticed the hardware buttons backlight on the 900 seems to be more "yellow" and they are pure white on my 800. Yellow backlights doesnt look as good as the pure white backlight hardware buttons on my 800 in my opinion.

Other information such as name and numbers etc are present.With the (primary) Microsoft Account i've used when setting up the phone, those very same contacts are displayed as they should be.
