Lumia 1020 :: Stuck On Gears After Factory Reset
Sep 5, 2013I was having issues with notifications not work and live tiles not updating so I figured I'd just do a hard reset/factory restore and it'd fix everything. The factory reset started and it's now been almost 4 hours and they are still spinning. I have tried to do some of the tips given for the 920 when it had the same issue but none of them have worked. I also don't know of anyway to reflash/unbrick a 1020.
I've tried: Input these keys on the following sequence, press them one key at a time: Volume up Volume down Power key Volume down...

Nov 19, 2012It's been over 14 Hours that my new Nokia Lumia 920 is hang. I could not understand the reason behind its malfunctioning as I was on a call and when I tried to hang up.It just choked and react nothing. When I wave my hand over the light sensor, phone lit up and shows me the same phone call screen with minutes and after few seconds it goes as if it is locked. I tried to take out the sim, tried turning it off..Used back switch 100 times but it did not reacted at all.If this is the way it is going to be...I would say Nokia is under water and struggling period will let them down to their certain end of corporation. I switched from iPhone and was very happy to purchase 920. Despite of other big issues I was holding back and was thinking to keep it as Microsoft will fix he bugs with new applications.

Jan 31, 2012I installed the 8107 and firmware update.I found that the screen brightness it is now too low on automatic and when I put it on medium or high setting the soft keys stop lighting up, they only worked when in auto or low mode which is too dim for my eyesight.I wasted my money RS:-29,000/-[Lots of problem in phone].First i have to buy my phone and i have to take some time out to tell u all problem.waste of money n time.I am nokia fan statring to till now.

May 6, 2015Open facebook via the fb-app. Go, for instance, to an unilad article with a videoclip. Click on the link and a new page opens with a video from youtube. Click the play button and the video starts and no problem. Click the full screen icon and turn the phone to the side and the video maximizes and fills the screen and stops almost immediately. Reset and clear cache for the apps involved and the video (and all other videos for that matter) runs for a minute or so then the phone hangs fully. Have to remove battery as phone is unresponsive. How to look for the reason for this? Videos do not freeze if not maximized. Videos directly on youtube/vimeo does not freeze.
Phone Samsung S5, latest update, running videos on high capacity wi-fi only.

For a month or so now, it is difficult to start the main screen with the double tap so could be an issue with touch screen, although once turned on with power button, using touch screen is fine. It's just that initial double tap to turn screen on that is tough sometimes.
When I get screen on, can use speaker or not, and i can use dialpad to dial, say for instance to get to voicemail. However, once dialed, the screen goes blank and I'm not able to turn it on by double tapping, by using power button, etc. The only way to get back to using my phone is when the other side has hung up. Then I can start using power button again.
I don't hold phone near proximity sensor, I don't think it's dirty, I don't use a case. I will put the phone down on the table flat and it will stay on. I then move my hand over it starting at bottom and when it gets a little ways from the top, it goes blank. When I remove my hand, with nothing in the way, it stays that way and I can't do anything.
I'd like not to try the next step which is factory reset and backup, as I have not done that before and really don't want to reinstall everything.

Apr 20, 2015I typically use my phone on speakerphone when having a phone conversation. It's just easier to hold and talk with it in my hand in front of my body or else I set the phone on my desk. My screen time out is set to two minutes, so after I've talked for a couple of minutes my screen goes black. Then, when I'm ready to say good-bye, I can't figure out how to get back to the phone active screen! If I were holding it to my head it would automatically go to the phone screen, but when on speaker it doesn't. As a result I usually wait for the other party to hang up the phone. Tapping the power button doesn't do it.

Mar 25, 2010My 5800 sometimes freezes when I hang up after a call (or actually when I try to hang up). The phone freezes in the call screen and the phone is partially responsive because I get a reaction from the vibrator when I'm pressing "Hang up" (sometimes it freezes directly after answering so instead of "hang up" a have frozen "answer" screen). And another thing: I can call to my 5800 from another phone when it is frozen, I hear tones in the calling phone, but my 5800 is not notifying of this.
The only solution is to restart the phone. I've had my 5800 since v11 of the firmware through v20 (and v30?) and now the most recent v40 firmware. The problem persist and it freeze call screen has acted the same in all versions. This should have been fixed by now! Calling is a basic function of a phone (!), I wouldn't care too much if it froze when I played a third party game or something. But now it is basic functionality that doesn't work. If I have the music player and podcast application (downloading) and call comes in and then the phone freezes I would understand. But I cannot accept it when it happens to an idle phone with no open applications.

It's a bug I guess, but I'm wondering if maybe it's because I have the brightness profile too low?

1) When I am purchased mobile it continuously hanged. After that I went it to nokia customer care gallery. They update my firmware & replace my MMC card. Then problem was reduced but now it hang when I use any application more than 1hrs. Like music player.
2) There is another problem it was related to image format. When I captured any image the process was too slow. 1st it capture in .nrw format after some time i.e. min. 30sec. It will convert into Jpg format (Standard).
3) When I connect phone to PC, Getting any data via Bluetooth & every re-insert time of mmc card one log file was created (BGSA_UPLOAD)
