Lumia 950 :: Missing Text Tones When Editing A Contact
Jan 20, 2016When I edit a contact to assign it a ringtone or text tone, I get a different list than the sounds in the Notification center. It shows far fewer ringtones, and it doesn't even show me any text tones.
This is what the notification list looks like, and it has all the sounds- alarms, ringtones and text tones:
This is what I see when I edit a contact. Not only does it look like crap, it doesn't even contain any text tones when I select "+Text tone":
The two lists are different! Why I can't pick the same sounds for contacts?

Dec 2, 2011Yesterday I received in exchange for the Omnia 7 a Lumia 800. The first thing i did was to test the BT Connection to the BT speakerphone in an Opel Astra.Worthwhile the functions are different between the Omnia and the Lumia. The connection works. But with the Lumia I had no network operator display, no signal strength and can not even call from the car. How can that be for the same operating system? Unfortunately, this point is a big reason for a return of the phone.

Nov 14, 2012Since the ICS update, I've noticed a glitch while trying to edit search terms in the search box at the top of a Google results page.If I double-tap on a word to select it for editing, an editing menu pops up and covers the search box.In the attached screenshot, you can see that the selected word is bracketed but covered.I'm wondering if this happens on other Bionics running ICS with the stock browser.

Aug 30, 2014After receiving the Cyan and 8.1 update (weeks ago), anytime I edit an office document with my 1020 which resides on OneDrive, I am then unable to open it again on my PC. I receive the following:
This has happened with Word and Excel documents.Edit and save went fine, with no errors or upload issues.Both times, the document originated on my PC (Win8.1, Office 2013), and I edited & saved on my 1020.I don't really care about whether it happens when a document originates on my phone, as I really need to edit existing documents on the go.
As I continue testing this issue, I'm beginning to think more and more that this is a buggy PC Office update, and not something with Cyan/8.1.

Apr 6, 2010I've recently updated firmware to V40 and initially I didn't have this problem, but now for some reason, the application software updater (under application menu) won't work. When I select it, it tries to load, but immediately closes. I can't for the life of me understand why this wouldn't work or why it would suddenly stop working. Is there a way to download the sw updater from OVI store or something?? I've even tried a hardware reset (green, red and camera button while turning the phone on), but that hasn't helped.
At the same time, I've also noticed that I can't edit any pictures. The same thing happens I click on the edit button, the picture loads, but as soon as I try add an effect, it closes the application.

Jul 16, 2012just bought a new Nokia Lumia 900 phone. I would like to edit my photos on my PC (Win7), but I can't modify them. I tried it with ACDsee Photo Manager and Adobe Photoshop too, but it always failed, and an error message comes out everytime 'Can't write output file'. I have the right Security settings in the Lumia 900 Photos Folder Properties, but it seems like the Lumia 900 have a special file security system, and I don't have permission to modify my own photos.

Nov 19, 2012I got my Lumia 920 and sent a few texts but found that if you type past 2 messages in one session and try to send, it comes back as saying it can't send. I tried resending but it won't go.
To send, I had to copy the message, delete the message, paste it in the field then resend. That works.
An update for the SMS+Messaging app came a few days ago but hasn't fixed the problem cause I tried sending a 3 message text and it did the same thing. Had to again copy the message, delete then send quickly.

Nov 26, 2012I have tried every combniation of settings I can think of, but I am not able to get my phone (920, developer version from BUILD) to vibrate when I receive a text message.
Currently it vibrates, but plays no ringtonw when I get a call. This is what I want. Howver, when I get a text message it simply shows a toast noification, but no vibration or sound.I have compared every setting I could find to my previous HTC WP7 handset, which does vibrate on SMS.
I have gone in the ringtones Setting screen and turned off the ringer and turned on vibration. How do I make this work? I feel like it must be something staring me in the face that I am not seeing.
